How exactly was Kayode better sef? You are just pushing and pushing for something thst is not true. Fact remains that Kayode had more mins in the whole first half of the season with Girona and did nothing good compared to Nacho's early season struggles with time because of a toe injury and fitness issues or even compared to Musa's super limited game time. Musa was not in the picture. Kayode played more and grossly underperformed. Simple. forgiveness:
Is it Kayode that had preseason or is it Kayode that didn't have injury and missed 5 straight matches from October to December? In January he was already out because he demanded for transfer. How come you are not using that same excuse to judge Kayode?
Pls, note that before both had injuries Kayode was better during those moments. That is the koko. 1 Like |

The simple truth is that Kayode goofed big time. Either because of greed, bad advice from his agents or some other factors. You don't leave a club where you are banging in goals week in week out for fools gold in Man City with less than a year to the world cup. If he had remained at Austria Wein and maintained the same form, Rohr would have found it difficult to ignore him. Better to be a big fish in a small pond than a small fish in a big pond. This is a valuable lesson for Kayode and others. I disagree with you all on this, signing for man city from Austra viena and getting a loan to laliga with girona was a very good move for his career, this didn't work out fine but it was a good move. You are right about the 4 assists but it doesn't dissanul that fact that all these players performance woefully this season which is below their standards.
All had a poor first half of the season, nevertheless Kayode performance in the first half of the season was still far better than Iheancho and Musa in the league.
Like I said all are in the same category. Nothing spectacular.
Shakhtar Donetsk is still far better than Leicester City, CSKA Moscow and Cronte. Even if these clubs plays in the Ukrainian league, they will still be dominated by Shakhtar Donetsk and if Shakhtar Donetsk plays in these leagues Shakhtar Donetsk will still be in the top 4. If I am lying or exaggerating ask Manchester City and Roma.
It doesn't take away the quality of Shahktar Donetsk.
My good friend, Kayode will be deceiving himself if he thinks he has a future with the National team under this present coaching crew. He should focus on his club career and forget about the National team. This is my humble advice to him and this is not the first time I am saying these.
So you are saying if Shahktar Donetsk are in English premiership they will be in top 4?? My brother, on a normal day, can u bet Shahktar Donetsk will beat Chelsea or Arsenal who couldn't make d top 4? Or unrealistically beat any of Man city, Man united, Liverpool or Tottenham from top 4. What about Seria A. Juventus, Napoli, Roma, Lazio, Inter will kill Donetsk on a good day. If Donetsk are that good for Epl top 4, how come they hardly pass group stages in Ucl or more realistically, win Europa? All these blind arguments because u wanna sell Kayode to us. I'm thinking they got stories from inside sources as regards some players invited to prosecute the Atletico match. Then they assumed from there that those fringe professionals invited will also be in Rohr's 30 man list. Now they are trying to put a twist to the story. The truth is Rohr has always said he would release a list of 30 players (not the maximum 35). These reporters are a joke

And that is all you have to say after the 30-man list was released abi Sir GoodJoe? Most points from the list have been sufficiently dealt with. It will do little trying to add to it. However, I will like to point that Rohr seems satisfied with his selection process and has those he feels are capable of representing the country well in Russia.
For the likes of Eze and Lokosa, I think Rohr just gave those slots for those he wants to look into. I talked of us having a screening process to look into players with high potentials to play for the team. I feel Rohr is using extra slots for those he feels will benefit from working in camp with the main team.
People like Kayode and Onyekuru are players Rohr has worked with in the camp in the past. He has monitored them closely. He has his criteria and plans. If they do not meet what he wants, we need to support the coach as he marches his gallant warriors into the battle field in Russia. 2 Likes |

Is it Speed? Kayode run reach Musa? Is it Techniques? He get am reach half of Ighalo, Moses or KC? Is it trickery? He dey learn where Simon and Ighalo dey. Is it goals? We all know the men who are currently on fire in Chinese league and Epl(Odion and KC). So wat exactly does Kayode bring dat is not already in abundance? But on Simy, we clearly have a man mountain of a goalscorer which we lack in the current Eagles. Someone who can use head to score goals. Dat is one weakness Ighalo has. Ok quick question ===We can be needing a goal in the final 10-15mins and the team results to crosses into the 18yard box, who do u call Simy or Kayode? Thanks for the summary |

TheSuperNerd: The price Newcastle wanted to pay was never truly revealed becos Kayode was in Englamd for final talks which never happened again. Simple. No thanks to Man City's interference. But Newcastle and Benitez were confident of landing Kayode before that twist....
I really don't have time now to begin digging up archives of reports of the happenings leading up to Kayode's potential Newcastle move and layer hijack by City... But look at this...
Newcastle are reportedly favourites to sign Austria Wien attacker Olanrewaju Kayode this summer after he smashed his way to the top of the Austrian Bundesliga goalscoring charts last season.
African outlet Score Nigeria claimed sources have revealed that the 24-year-old is expected to sign with the Toon within the next few days, with only a work permit likely to be the only stumbling block.
However, those behind the deal are said to be confident that Kayode’s work permit will go through successfully and the three-time Nigeria international will be a Newcastle player before the end of the window.
https://thisisfutbol.com/2017/08/blogs/transfer-talk-newcastle-favourites-to-land-kayode/
Newcastle badly needed Kayode and were willing to negotiate a price that will make his work permit case valid and good....
Now here is a site to show you something on Prices/transfers of players affecting work permits...
The appeals process is a points based system under which the panel will award points depending on the circumstances of the transfer. If a player scores four points or more, the panel may recommend that the application is granted. Nonetheless, the panel can still reject the application even if four or more points are scored.
Criteria: The value of the transfer fee being paid for the player is in the top 25% of all transfers to Premier League clubs in the previous 2 windows
Point: 3 points
Criteria: The value of the transfer fee being paid for the player is between the 50th and 75th % of all transfers to Premier League clubs in the previous 2 windows Point: 2 points
Criteria: The wages being paid to the player by the applicant club is in the top 25% of the top 30 earners at the club Point: 3 points
Criteria: The wages being paid to the player by the applicant club are between the 50th and 75th % of all the top 30 earners at the club Points: 2 points
Criteria: The player’s current club is in a Top League[3] and the player has played in 30% or more of the available domestic league minutes Points: 1 point
Criteria: The player’s current club has played in the group stages or onwards of the Champions League, Europa League or the Copa Libertadores within the last 12 months and the player has played in 30% or more of the available domestic league minutes Point: 1 point
If the player does not meet the above points based system review, there is a secondary examination under which if the player scores 5 points or more, the panel may recommend that an application is granted. Points can be scored if, for example, the player has played in the final qualification rounds of the Champions League, Europa League or the Copa Libertadores within the last 12 months and the player has played in 30% or more of the available domestic league minutes. The review at this stage is more flexible meaning that the panel can take into account the circumstances if no transfer fee is payable (perhaps because the player has reached the end of his contract) or if the player satisfies some but not all of the automatic criteria.
http://www.danielgeey.com/the-foreigner-debate-the-fas-new-work-permit-regulations-explained/
Based on all these... Kayode was surely in with a good chance of landing a work permit had the Newcastle deal been carried out to fruition. He took the "greedy" route of "Big club" lure....
By greed I obviously mean the pride of being associated with a big club... Man city didn't offer more... They just offered prestige which Kayode craved.
Can you please highlight the criteria he met to get 5 points that qualified him for a work permit based on the criteria up there? Thanks |

I practically watched ALL the games Kayode played for Girona this season and I can tell you without any fear of contradictions that Kayode is an average player!
