The freekick was suppose to be an indirect freekick that must touch another player before entering the net and not a direct one hence it was disallowed.

The 94 team is the most athletic team we've ever had with a very high work rate and ethic despite the internal squabbles. Every generation of SE and technical crew need to be doing case studies on this team to infuse such ethic on all our national teams. Even the 98 team didn't have this high work rate.

the team still lacks unity truth be told, they were far from perfect

I thought it could have been far better. Do they cover their league matches with the same number of cams.

BascoVanVeli:

Supersports used the same amount when they covered the NPFL.

bro.... don't tell me you are still pissed with this list.... even England list looks witty too...for not including smalling of Manchester United... everyone knows how good he is especially when it comes to set piece... he has done better than some names up there..this season.
it goes to show that there is no perfect squad list for the world cup from any team...

so abeg relax....
please can you help us fetch ademola lookman possibly after the world cup...it seems you have connections to this lads...
we need that kid badly... if you can get him now... we don't mind...we can still sneak him into the world cup squad...
don't worry...we all will contribute money to pay you.

Easily done.

But not without an official mandate and true commitment reflected on merit. The way Aluko was and is being treated does not inspire confidence in a lot of Nigerian origin players in the EPL and Championship.

You are in the Zone. This Echiejile in or out is what I cannot really predict. I fear for Aina. But time will tell.

Many of the CHAN boys are not on this list.

Super Eagles B team to face Atletico Madrid

Olufemi Kayode (Lobi Stars)
Olorunleke Ojo (Akwa United)
Olufemi Thomas (Rangers International)
Musa Muhammed (Lokomotiv Plovdiv, Bulgaria)
Stanley Okorom (MFM FC)
Ebube Duru (Lobi Stars)
Ikouwem Utin (Enyimba FC)
Adeleye Olamilekan (FC IfeanyiUbah)
Austin Opara (MFM FC)
Isiaka Oladuntoye (Enyimba FC)
Chinedu Ajana (Katsina United)
Raphael Ayagwa (Plateau United)
Destiny Ashadi (Katsina United)
Kelechi Nwakali (MVV Maastricht, Netherlands)
Alhassan Ibrahim (FK Austrian Wien, Austria)
Chidiebere Nwakali (Aberdeen FC, Scotland)
Usman Mohammed (Sarpsborg, Norway)
Dayo Ojo (Sunshine Stars)
Emem Eduok (Kasimpasa FC, Turkey)
Sadiq Umar (NAC Breda, Netherlands)
Tosin Omoyele (Plateau United)
Kadiri Samad (Lobi Stars)
Ibrahim Alhassan (Kano Pillars).
Disappointing. NFF and Sanusi should be ashamed of themselves. Did it not occur to them to use this game to test out the likes of Samuel Kalu, Olayinka, Bonaventure, heck even your Dessers, Ebere Eze, Ryan Sanusi, etc?? Man I tire for these guys. At least try and invite them first.

he has nothing tactically to offer...
I felt for our football having such a man as chief coach....so bad. and someone like goodjoe wanted the nff to give him a chance to manage the eagles and see what he has to offer....

had the nff followed that road...possibly by now we would have been pitching tenth in other teams...because Nigeria won't have qualified...
I fell for the hype because people talked about his Kano Pillars team and how they played great attacking football. The guy dey seriously fall hand sha

Giroud is not bad,but he is not a game changer, the last euros Portugal won,an Andre Pierre gignac of Mexico league performed better than him.

not true, giroud was the joint second highest scorer in that tournerment

methinks our own list will be somewhat similar

If 8-5-7

Troost
Balogun
Shehu
Idowu
Awaziem
Ebuehi
Omeruo
Aina

Mikel
Ndidi
Onazi
Ogu
Etebo

Moses
Musa
Iwobi
Simon
Iheanacho
Ighalo
Simy

Might be 8-6-6

Same 8 in defense, add Joel to Midfield, Remove Simy from Forwards.

Exactly my thoughts

Aluko told CSN:

“The onus is on Nigeria and not the players. Nigeria have to make it attractive for these players to leave the path they’ve known.

‘’After being in the English system, and Nigeria who have never invested in their career invite them, it would be difficult.

“Even me that can be described as a success story, I only have six caps, I haven’t started in a competitive game for Super Eagles but I have scored two goals and people said I have done well.

‘’So it is the responsibility for Nigeria to make it attractive for them which I think is what they are trying to do now in getting these players.”

Don't mind some of them. Dem no like am. I am sure they tied it to that game he played when Spain really schooled France. As if na only him fault. Lol... Rabiot is still young shaa... I expect him to make the next France squad for the Euros in 2020. He is that good.

Giroud gets game time because of Benzema's issue with Deschamps. Benzema is literally a more mobile and technically gifted version of him.
He is a useful guy to have on your team sha

Deschamps must have been sentimental while picking the squad... He left out Martial who has scored more goals and made more assist for Thomas Lemar..Benjamin Mendy who didn't make up to 10 appearances last season also made the list... Even Dembele..

Well sha,na them sabi.. France squad looks quite good on paper, but they aren't among my favorite to win the WC...
