Humility017: Does Aina look comfortable to you playing at left back so far in his few caps? Suggesting he is moved over to RB where is mostly comfortable as a right footer is what you call putting down? |

goldfish80:but he plays there for Hull city this past season....? bro... watch this guys play a reasonable opponet who really wanna win games before you start hype them... me impressed but not to the point of hyping them...still remember the foolish games they played in CHAN especially in the final most of the goals today were individual brilliance from.the foreign legions... just take a look at how wasteful the NPFL strikers were..... please sayn aina should be benched for an NPFL player whose club barely gets to the CAF league knock out stages.... is taking these excitement too far. |

Icon4s: He had a poor display in the final. That does not mean I will write him off or make that the only thing about him. I was impressed with him today and I will say it out. This game today is not the same game. A player can be poor in a game and do better in another. 1 Like |

Humility017: I dont watch Coca Cola championship but from reports, he had some good games and some pretty bad games at Left back. For the super eagles, he hasn't done anything remotely positive in that position. You will be shocked how terrible he was if you re watch that game against Algeria in Blida. |

asha80: It's good you mentioned thst it was one of the reasons, not the only reason. I've also provided some context to Yekini's AFOTY win. There were two winners that year - The original award by France Football went to Abedi Pele. Yekini got his own in parallel...but that's beside the point. |

It is no hypes. You actually beat me to quoting Humility017's words first.. He just nailed it. Watching that boy called Kelechi Nwakali not just today but right from the U-17s and U-20s (qualifiers only) brought this feeling of nolstagia that led me to when Mikel was born at Finland 2003. I won't lie to you... That is what I have always seen since 2015. He has this special aura about him. His confidence is just naturally high on the pitch. Unfazed by big names (see how he handled Partey). He carries a swag similar to Mikel and an atmosphere that says "I'm in charge." That is just a glimpse into parts of what make a midfield general. So Sir Humility's words are spot on. He nailed it big time... But still... Give it time. Kelechi's time is almost here. Give it time people... Give it time. ChrisKels: |

TheSuperNerd: Calm down chief.. Every great footballer started from somewhere small..Nwakali isn't the first, neither will he be the list talent to emerge out of Nigeria.. We shouldn't put unnecessary pressure on him at this stage..let him grow biko. its a gradual thing.. too much pressure on a young player can affect them negatively... The talent is there today, but how far can he go?? Time will tell.... |

TheSuperNerd: No one can determine when a player can b useful or not, what if he's d suitable player we av been looking for mikels back up.. Let rohr add him to d list ,make it 31,let dem jostle for d final spot,if he's giving a nod by d crew so b it,me am not sold on dis "pre or after world cup of a thing" Same goes to DT number 3 sub guy 1 Like |

Danielnino00: I am calm actually... Just stating what my observations have always been. So far, K.Nwakali have ticked some boxes, yet I remain calm... I am NOT clamouring for him to go to Russia am I? Nope... But on his talents, I must speak. To make the Russia train, no no no.... His time will come after Russia. He is still growing. So allow him grow and keep maturing, we will... And yes ofcos, super talents like him and even far better will arise from Nigeria... We need more of it. Look at Chukwueze from same 2015 class. People even forget we have Jack Ipalibo at Villareal too (also from that 2015 class). So he is just one of many more to come and more which are here already. So believe me Sir... I am calm... So calm infact... 2 Likes

I know many will be satisfied with the display of these lads and will justify their inclusion but I am not carried away because we were beaten at our own backyard even though we could have won if selection were based on merit and not by a oligarchy structure designed to favour man no man players. If these players that struggled for game time in lowly clubs or leagues this season were able to play small, how would the game go if the best players this past season are given the chance to prove themselves? We could have won this game... This is why there can never be peace in this country if justice and equity is not strictly the messurement for decision making. You can’t bring clean things from unclean. However, Athletico Madrid didn't play their 100% game tonight else we for chop more but they just just played the game for fun. 1 Like |
