tbaba1234: I met an Argentine in Calgary. When I told him my country the next thing he said was "Ah Okocha! ". No just mind that guy Jare. Imagine calling Okocha and Yekini local champions. I can even bet he had not started watching football when Yekini played. |

That’s just in ur head — preconceived. We’ve had foreign borns who have given their all even till this day. We’ve also had home grown that have been less committed in the past and even now. M goldfish80: 2 Likes |

Unlimited22:And you don't know the matter at hand. Someone is saying he is not a legend and is just unnecessarily being hyped because he didn't have a medal. It's not a case of comparing one player against the other. There are multiple medal winning players all over the world that no one remembers 5 yrs after they retired but Jay Jay has left a lasting legacy for the same flicks and tricks he is criticised for. You can count the number of people that were able to do the things he did on your hands but medal winners are everywhere. This guy created dribbles for Pete's sake. He created them, successfully used and people will keep talking about it. Let the medal holders keep kissing their medals, they will only get a handshake from me, but Jay Jay will get a hug and be invited to dinner. 13 Likes 2 Shares |

Nihilstjnr: Lololol, I have always known you are a jay Jay fan but who is hugely dissapointed in the fact that he could have achieved more. He played with joy and he said he would rather not play than for him to take away who he is. He is who he is and he is so good they named him twice. In a hundred years, a kid scrolling through a list of EPL players would see thousands of names, they would all be foot notes in that list, for him to pay attention or give a second thought to yaya toure he must have been looking for him. There are other lists Jay Jay will appear in. 2 Likes |

If u like say shyte about me I will always say the truth we don't av the squad to compete in the world cup...stop hyping all these guys only moses, ihenacho and ighalo will try to initiate something for us look at most top flight clubs in England or Spain....Most of their youth teams are filled with nigerians.....Instead of us to develop these players and make them ready for any big event, No we end up fielding these below average players at every competition 6 Likes 1 Share |

Humility017: Do you mean players with the heart of a Lion are found in lowly second division leagues? If Kelechi Nwakali is a player with a Lion's heart, how come he flopped in the Eredivise and got demoted to the lower division where he didn't show sign of one with Lion's heart? Is there any sense in what you are saying? Well, it is the normal Nigerian two faced double standard mentality that brought us here. It began the first time we experienced coup in this country and it's still d same till date. There shall be no peace with this kind of sense you are playing. |

Nihilstjnr: Is it Jay Jay Okocha you are belittling like this? A player that made FIFA 100? A player that had and still has a huge cult following him since he broke into the limelight.. If u ask non Nigerian football fans to mention 10 of their greatest dribblers of all time,Jay Jay's name will definitely be there . That he didn't play for big clubs means nothing... Jay Jay is a world football icon... o pari! |

Ndidi's and Iheanacho's Leicester in the news Leicester City ranked among Europe's most valuable clubs The Foxes beat Napoli, AC Milan and Inter Milan on the table By David Dubas-Fisher Leicester City have been revealed as one of the most valuable football clubs in Europe. The club has an enterprise value (EV) of €596m (£523m) according to the latest KPMG Football Clubs’ Valuation report. An “enterprise value” is the amount it would take to buy the company. The Foxes’ EV is the 15th highest in Europe, the seventh highest in England, and represents a 29% increase on last year in Euros and a 35% year-on-year increase in sterling. Leicester actually find themselves above some of Europe’s biggest names. Napoli (€518m), AC Milan (€514m) and Inter Milan (€491m) are all lower down the list than Leicester. Manchester United take the top spot with an EV of €3.26bn (£2.86bn) ahead of Spanish giants Real Madrid (€2.9bn/£2.56bn), Barcelona (€2.8bn/£2.44bn) and German side Bayern Munich (€2.6bn/£2.24bn). Manchester City are Europe's fifth most valuable club with an EV of €2.16bn (£1.89bn). They’re followed by Arsenal (€2.1bn/£1.84bn), Chelsea (€1.77bn/£1.55bn), Liverpool (€1.58bn/£1.39bn), Juventus (€1.3bn/£1.14bn) and Tottenham (€1.29bn/£1.13bn). West Ham (€531m/£466m) and Everton (€512m/£449m) also make the list of the top 20 most valuable clubs coming 16th and 19th respectively. Andrea Sartori, KPMG’s global head of sports and the report’s author, said: “Despite this year’s growth being lower than last year’s 14 percent growth, the football industry continues its rise, showing for the second successive season an EV increase (9%) for the top 32 clubs included in our ranking. “Overall growth is driven by different factors, one of these being the increase of operating revenues of the top 32, at 8%. “Eye-catching transfer deals and spiralling staff costs have not prevented such clubs from registering a striking upward trend, as the profits before taxes increased by some 17 times in comparison to the previous year. “One of the reasons for this growth can be found in the significant influence exercised by English clubs, as well as the improved financial health of many mid-size clubs within the ranking, which also reflects compliance with the UEFA financial fair play regulations.” The report is calculated using the latest available financial statements for each club. It therefore doesn’t include the business and sporting results achieved by each club in the 2017/18 season. Clubs: EV (£bn) Manchester United FC: 3.26 Real Madrid CF: 2.92 FC Barcelona: 2.78 FC Bayern München: 2.55 Manchester City FC: 2.16 Arsenal FC: 2.1 Chelsea FC: 1.77 Liverpool FC: 1.58 Juventus FC: 1.3 Tottenham Hotspur FC: 1.29 Paris Saint-Germain FC: 1 Borussia Dortmund: 1.06 Atlético de Madrid: 0.9 FC Schalke 04: 0.673 Leicester City FC : 0.596 West Ham United FC: 0.531 SSC Napoli: 0.518 AC Milan: 0.514 Everton FC: 0.512 Internazionale Milano: 0.491 Source: https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/leicester-city-ranked-among-europes-1594714 Russia 2018 WC Countdown: 22 days 8 hours 8 mins to go |

rabzy: you said it all, yet again i wonder what people mean by his career was not great, how many Africa players go ahead to captain a team in premiership for more than 2 seasons. PSG and fenerbache are not small club in there respective league and jay jay was a key man in those clubs. In the national team, the glorified and medal laden Kanu never scored a goal in nations cup but i remember how a midfielder Okocha took 2004 nations cup by storm, played his heart out, was the top scorer and best player in that tournerment. Medals are nothing compare to the happiness and joy he gave us and his still giving us, Jay jay is a blessing 1 Like 1 Share |
