I tell you my brother...
Ramos is a wicked somebody...
see her he set mane up too to get booked.

he is a desperado who can any length to get what he wants...

The dude can do anything to win. Not the first time he will be doing that. REMEMBER the last champions league final last season? He got Juan Cuadrado red carded.
I see someone mentioning VAR. If only they will be true to the findings on VAR. Who is gonna make the call? Its not like Basketball where a coach calls for time out. And lets not forget, referee's decision still is final..... especially if they have a direction pre determined for the game

How many wingers do we have more in the team? Just Musa and Moses.. and maybe Iwobi. Rohr had said he picked 2 players in each position first before a meeting with all the rest of the staff to decide the remaining players to make the 30 man list. I want to guess that there might be a call up to replace Moses Simon. Success, Onyekuru? Have your guess.. unless Rohr is satisfied with Lokosa as a winger. Just thinking.

A player in the mold of Simon Moses is not Onyekuru because Simon can defend and attack at the same time but Onyekuru can attack but defensively not good.

Besides, I thought we were made to understand that Rohr picked players based on recent form. Has Onyekuru picked up form lately?

Onyekuru is not fit.. Even if a replacement player is called, it is unlikely to be Onyekuru.

How good would Maradona have been if he played in this era with all the advancements in diet and training?

He did not live a sportsman lifestyle and was that good.
D10S. I can never have enough of that man. Power, pace, unearthly talent and rascality. Watched his clips last week again.

Short man but was very good in the air.

Habaaa. Even with a fit Simon Moses, Musa would have still made the team and who knows maybe even be a starter.

Tosin kehinde, the midfield wonder might be joining a French or Spanish top-flight team this summer.

I wanna see that hpn bkus dude is good enough for a first team football in any of the Europe's top five leagues.

Just imagine

Nwakali KC
Tosin
Ejaria
Ebere Eze
Kingsley Michael

In the top-flight next season getting reasonable amount of game time

I doubt Rohr will be looking to replace Moses Simon.

He has Victor Moses, Musa, and Iwobi

He may choose to play a 4-4-2 as well. Bad as e be, he can deploy Kelechi to the wings. He rarely subs both wingers anyway

We need more shooting drills in the team. Especially loose balls. Enough of all the wayward shots our boys shoot sometimes. Its time to shoot to hit the target and not over the bar stuff...

That would be Rohr’s call. I was just correcting the misconception that it is against FIFA’s regulations.

Thanks, Let us see what happens then. It is unlikely that a sub will be called from outside the list.

Semi Ajayi and Rotherham have been promoted to the Championship. Maybe an option in the Center Back position in the future.

Very good point. Which player would be a like-for-like replacement then?

Can I think of any in form winger? Junior Ajayi maybe. Is he also good defensively?

I'm trying to access Nigeria's chances at this mundial. Before Poland and Serbia I rated their chances highly after those games I was scratching my head thinking should they have even qualified

What's your assessment nairalanders? I'll be at the England v Nigeria game. Will you be holding off until that game for assessment. I ask because all the Nigerians I talk to, 1 don't know Nigeria has even qualified, 2 don't even know that the game with England is even taking place and 3 do not rate our chances at all

My fear was injury then and I spoke about it because I know we are not God but we know what happened afterwards. The rest they say is history.

Now, news of injuries are flying in right left and center. Make Rohr replace Simon Moses with a fit and better player and he should do likewise to any player that is will not be fit for the world cup.

Rohr baba. I hail ooo.

Junior Ajayi does not offer what Simon offers in terms of pace and directness. If i am to pick a replacement, i will choose Kayode since he can play from the wings.

But i do not think, a replacement is required.

Do not read too much into friendlies..

Players will try to protect themselves from injuries in the remaining friendlies.

Bigger plan abi? Where is fairness then? Why do we have centre referees? Is it not to create a balance and fair officiating of a game? Have u stopped to imagine what would happen if there are no referees and no linesmen? Then it might ad well be gladiators in the Coliseum! Blood and bones will fly everywhere.

My brother, such plans are devilish and needs to be condemned. Else we might as well just give the Trophy to the pre determined winner before any competition. No need for all the troubles. When did soccer become wrestling? Its slmost like players now have a way of consoling themselves that the worst that could happen is they taking one(yellow) for the team. Where is the fairness? Seriously these rules with holding of a player, hugging a player from movement in the 18 yard box and impeding a player should be reviewed. We are not watching fast and the furious.

The world is getting to a point where Good is bad and Bad is actually good! Referees need to do their freaking job!

Fairness? That has long been dead long time ago. It's been dead since the time football has gone commercial. We need stop believing that FIFA's Fair Play message.
Football governing bodies across the world are no longer FAIR in their dealings. These guys do everything humanly possible to retain power and influence. The same is what we see on the field.

The refs too are not exempted. They bend the rules to favor which ever team they want to win.

Now back to the main issue. Ramos last night was an Hero to his team - a true captain and at the same time a villain to the rest of the world.

Later, while thinking over the incident that happened, I saw Ramos as a true definition of a leader. Dude stood up to rescue his team from a state of quagmire. He took out the threat to their glory. He subtly influenced the refs decisions till he was able to extinguish the remaining fire burning in the heart of the Liverpool team.

Just imagine if Mikel had done the same in 2014 against France, who knows what would have happened. But our man was only smiling and trying to be fair. Maradona, Suarez(against Ghana) and those I have mentioned earlier are just few examples of players who threw Fair Play out of the window and their actions in one way or the other took their teams to glory.

In summary, the Objective of a game in any competition is to WIN (which is the bigger picture). Coaches tell their players to focus on the OBJECTIVE and not the PROCESS. We need to learn some of these tricks as they will come in handy at the world cup. Don't forget recently Shehu would have got Slimani sent out in our last WCQ game had it been he simulated and exaggerated the head butt. But he was forming strong man and fair play. The same Slimani went on to score us after that incident.

We need to ask ourselves this question. When last was a player sent off(got red card) against the SEs.? Sometimes you need to reduce your opponent to 10players before you can edge them. Ramos understood this and that was why he reduced Liverpool technically from 12 to 10men- that's why you saw him smiling.

Kayode defends from the front. Always closing down defenders.

Exactly, Drills will bring out the best from the players. I can remember the team underwent through drills prior to the double header against Cameroon and we did well with our shots. Was so surprised that day to see Mikel hits volleys with precision.

I am not very comfortable with just three wingers in the team. It will make the team very predictable. If Simon is really injured, then as things stand we will have just three wing forwards bar Iheanacho who has played there for the team. I really do not see a new name coming into this team now. I concur with you Boss
