Greetings to the gurus in the house . I got a 2 year visiting visa early this year for myself and Wifey . we are planning that my wife should go first and relax a bit there . we can't go together now because of work demand and all that . my question is how long apart can we travel ? Can she be there like 4-5 months before my arrival because the plan is we would come back together when I visit . is there possibility of me having issue at the POE that my wife had stayed longer for somebody that earns salary in Nigeria with max of 20 working days leave per annnum because wifey used to work until she resigned recently

Please I however need your help I generated an application Id for my wife and for my daughter about a month ago and I used the application ids to subsequently schedule an appointment for them but I am yet to complete the DS 160. Now I want to complete it but I am unable to retrieve it and the ids has been used to schedule the appointments. Can someone please advise on what to do. Please assist urgently

It has to come to this before Nigerians pay any seriousness to this issue, most Nigerians are now getting a visit, conference, study (just any kind of visa to land them into the USA) and try to get to the Canadian border to cross into Canada and claim Asylum, the numbers grew so much that the Canadian government had to raise an official petition to the US government to tackle the problem at the source - Which is what the US embassy in Nigeria is doing. The report is that some Nigerians (10 of them) were already granted visas and were ready to travel, but were stopped at the MMA before they board their flights and told to see the consulate at the US embassy, where there visas were subsequently cancelled because they were travelling towards New York, which is the closest city to cross to canadian border on arrival - this arouse the suspicion of the US officers. I wonder my sister. I just ignore since because I dey wonder wetin exactly cause am wey him no wan follow him wife comot now now now. Of course him no want make the 6months "safety" window close in on am before e join up. Why the haste to ship wifey out without self? That's the puzzle. Is this a troubled person that at least wants his wife out of the picture of the trouble on ground first while running with time to quickly put some things in place? Either of or both of you could do that. However, this works oh, but never a good idea.... Quite risky! Why not make the trip with wifey alone first? Where these kids no somewhat your ties back home when you obtained the visa?

But, Isn't New York a main POE that connects to many others American destinations? If a person is going to Midwest USA, isn't it resonnable for that person to take a New York bound flight?
I know you have a mind of a detective, so I would love to hear your input on this one.

Probably they checked their traveling ticket at airport and saw new York, base on the information given in the application.

Please I have an issue, the hotel I booked and filled on my Ds160 is far from the venue of the convention am attending (2hrs drive),I have rebooked with the hotel the event is holding in, now do I have to change the hotel address on my ds160 form or just go to my interview next week with the hotel booking and explain to the VO why the contact address is different,cos I used the first hotel as my contact address since I have no relative in the US.if am changing it on my form how do I go about it.

Fill another form now, update your profile with the DS160 Confirmation Number, then print afresh your appointment confirmation. 2hrs away from your event centre, how and why did that happen if I may ask? Easy oh!
