Omoyele Sowore, publisher of Sahara Reporters and presidential aspirant for the 2019 election, says Senate President Bukola Saraki will be sent to jail and that Kwara will be “liberated”.

Sowore said this on Friday when he visited Ilorin, Kwara state capital, for a town hall meeting.

Saraki is from Kwara state.

Sowore said the number three citizen had turned himself into a “demigod” in the state.

He told the crowd who received him that he would put an end to the politics of godfatherism in Kwara and Nigeria as a whole if he is voted into power.

Sowore said the country would experience a “revolutionary change” in government by 2019.

“We will ensure that Kwara state is liberated from the hand of political godfather who can’t build good roads, schools and infrastructures,” he said.

“I remember last year, this was the same political godfather, Bukola Saraki, that seized our money, that was meant for the SaharaReporters Civic Media Lab, and brought it to Kwara state.

“This same Saraki went to the court to stop us and sent thugs to beat us after bragging he has all the Judges in Kwara state in his pocket.

“Let me use this opportunity to tell him that the money he seized from us would be refunded soon and will be paid with interest while he goes to jail.”

Sowore further said the All Progressives Congress (APC) government has failed the nation, hence it “should be kicked out”.
According to him, by 2019, “it will no longer be sai Baba but sai Bobo”.

“By next year, we are taking back this country from the hands of the old guards and we would ensure we set its feet on the path of progress,” he said.

“Then, it will no longer be sai Baba but sai Bobo because the country would not be left again in the hands of untrustworthy elders and leaders who have taken us back.

“We are tired of the old people in all the regions of the country mostly the ones who still think in analogue ways and have noting to offer us.”

That's why there needs to be credible and competent candidates coming out for all the political positions in Nigeria. The movement #takeitback is not about the person "Sowore", its a call for all well-meaning Nigerians to come out and contest for different positions in Nigeria. Lets dymistify our politics. Our leaders should be the best of us not the worst of us. Why should we have Buhari, Saraki, Rochas Okorocha, Dino Malaye, Ibrahim Idris (transmission-transmission) as leaders when we have brains, intellectuals and talented Nigerians everywhere?!! Even many of you writing on this post here know that you are better than all of this people combined and you can run a state or a country better than these guys even in your SLEEP. So what are we still talking about? Fact is that We cannot keep our country in the wrong hands and expect miracles to happen. Enough of the social media and nairaland analysis. Yes, the Tinubu's and Saraki's of Nigeria should all be in jail, for the crimes they have committed against the Nigerian people. Nigerians must get JUSTICE and our country will continue to bleed and remain unjust until our criminal politicians go to jail one by one. As long as these politicians keep roaming around our streets, crime will be the order of the day. We cannot have criminals as leaders and expect anything to change in our country. They all need to go to JAIL, no exceptions.

Let me tell you this; The only way Sowore will loose 2019 election is if he is killed before his time. As long as he lives, that man is going to become the next president of Nigeria. Any one still undermining him at this stage is probably thinking like the politicians of the old and their ancient ways of doing politics. 2019 election will shock not just the doubting Nigerians, but it will shock the entire world. Nigeria is ready for a revolution and it will not be an ordinary revolution; it will be the most peaceful, tactical and digitalised revolution in WORLD HISTORY. After delivering Nigeria, next will be to deliver the whole of Africa from all the old, wicked, evil, corrupt and incompetent dictators all over Africa.
