justwise: @Justwise If there is no reference from CIC website or from their constitution directly stating that withdrawing money from an account that was presented for studies qualifies as misrepresentation then you cannot outrightly make that assumption. if there's any article regarding this issue that backs your point, please do well to share with us. We're all here to learn boss. 8 Likes |

Got an MBA admission to MUN, they have the cheapest tuition fee, you can also check UNB St John. On GMAT the fee is about $250 for the exam, you will definitely need some time to prepare for the exam if you are to do well (minimum of 2 months). You can register at mba.com, gmatclub.com is a good resource. On CGPA, mine was 3.25, but the focus is on your last two years so if you have better grades in your last two years you are good to go. Hi guys, i hail una. Please who has an idea how this works? I applied for over 5weeks now and till now, i have not heard shingbain from CIC. However, i need to make a travel to the US next month and would be there for a couple of weeks. Now i don't know when i would be contacted as no one is really sure and i cannot be running back if i am not done with what i'm going there to do. If i get contacted while i'm in the US, can i do medicals and also drop passport for stamping while i'm there? Abi i cannot sha put all my life on hold like because i am waiting for TRV approval, the exact reason i didn't do paper route in the first place. Please if you know anyone that has done this, kindly advise. Thanks guys. All the best! ABEG ANSWER O... |

@Asapant Sorry bro, I don't do PMs at the moment cos I have so much on my head at the moment, but feel free to ask your questions here so the gurus can attend to it. If I am available I will try to attend to it as well(that's if I have any idea on the question). |

1. An acceptance letter from a designated learning institution (DLI) 2.A Valid passport or travel document 3. All CIC documents; Document checklist [IMM 5483], Visa office instructions – Study [IMM 5832], Application for a Study Permit made outside of Canada, Family Information Form [IMM 5707]. 4. Proof of financial support i.e documents showing the availability of tuition for one year + $10,000cad + other expenses. This can be your Statement of account if self funded or sponsor's statement of account 4-6 months), letter of sponsorship, affidavit of sponsorship, documents showing source of income; employment letter, pay slips, ID Card, letter of introduction if employed while CAC certificate, memorandum of association, tax clearance certificate if self employed etc. 5. All related educational and professional documents 6. Letter of explanation; This letter helps the visa officer to understand you and your goals. It explains: why you want to study in Canada, and that you understand the responsibilities as a student. Purpose of visit must be well explained. Also, convince the visa officer that your main purpose in Canada is to study and you will leave Canada at the end of your study period. 7. Documents showing home ties such as birth certificates, marriage certificate if married, landed documents (Certificate of occupancy, deed of agreements, survey plan) 8. Police character certificate, passport photographs. Ensure you involve God in your application. Please, do research yourself. Setemiola: 7 Likes 2 Shares |

if you are called for medical, you are required to undergo the medical examination within 30 days of the date of cic request. Failure to do so may result in the refusal of your immigration application. All the best. harde116: |

Concerning the matter on ground(if one can withdraw from his/her account after applying for trv), I think many people are mixing the whole thing up. Just like I said in my earlier post, nobody is stopping you from withdrawing from your account during this period(afterall the account belongs to you) but if you must let it be from the excess. Imagine if you withdraw your tuition fee/living expenses after printing your soa (for business or whatever reason) and you can't replace it when its time to travel? Countries like Germany will ask you to open a block account(by transferring funds to German bank) before applying for visa, so if you know you want to apply for trv make sure you have the money available(not with the intention of withdrawing half way into the process). I still want to state it again that cic can ask about some transactions on your soa if they feel like(it is something I have confirmed more than once). 2 Likes |

harde116:The mistake you made was not doing upfront medical and also paying for courier service when you went for your biometrics(cos I want to believe you applied via the online route). I think you can still do your medical at any clinic recognized by cic(even in the US) but the main problem will be submitting of passport when its time as you will have to submit it where you did your biometric in person or via courier(that's if you registered for it when applying) |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by harde116: 12:34am On May 28, 2018 |
Well, i guess i can still do the upfront medical, but i'm sincerely trying to avoid it because i want them to request for it before i do it. But that should be allowed somewhere else even though i am very sure it will be crazily expensive outside Nigeria. I did not register for courier and i did my biometrics in lagos. So from all indications, i may have to choose which one is more important to me, or i prepare to cut my waka short. This delayed processing is not fair sha tbh! mcobex: |

My Sponsors employer addressed his introduction letter to "to whom it may concern" and not "the Canadian high comission". Will that be a problem? |

Phocusjosh:Hello there, do you think it’s possible to obtain a Canadian Student visa for an MBA even though I already have an MSc in Petroleum Engineering from the UK?? I was denied the Canadian visa in November 2017. I don’t really know how I will convince the Visa officer in my SOP that I will return from Canada after my studies |

Lemia:Greet Dr. Oladokun and Dr. Adeyeye. I don't think I know you but caught a post of yours where you said you graduated from IPE. I did my MSc in that department |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mcobex: 8:27am On May 28, 2018 |
harde116:Bro it is too late to do upfront medical cos you have submitted your application, all you need do now is wait for cic to request for medical before you can do it. Upfront medical is done before submission then you will submit the medical receipt with your application. So, you can travel to US then do your medical there when called after which you can run down to naija when cic request for passport |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mcobex: 8:32am On May 28, 2018 |
Kemdy97:Why open a new account when you already have one? Does she really want to sponsor you or you are using her cos she has lots of cash in her account? cos the fixed account thing makes me feel the only way she will transfer the money to you is when you fix it(to avoid stories that touch). Well, you can open a new account but I feel since you have a old account it will serve well. She needs to trust you with the money, except is she just want to act as your sponsor on paper and not paying anything when its time. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mcobex: 8:40am On May 28, 2018 |
reichwolf:Your question has been answered before, you can read back to see it. As long as you can explain why you are going for the MBA instead of PhD(since you already have MSc) you will be fine. Read previous page to see the person with same case as yours and he got approved. Also, did you order for your GCMS note after your last denial? If yes, what does it say? if no, then you have to order it to have a clearer picture of the vo's reason(s) for your denial |

@Frankrobbin1 @Austinpee4 I need your opinion on this. I printed my bank statement on April 30 and I will be submitting my application on Wednesday, May 30, even though I am not sponsoring myself, do you advise to reprint my statement or is it still valid? |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by MeinKampf: 10:45am On May 28, 2018 |
gerrymini:I have a similar issue. My sponsor got his bank statement on 26th of April from his Australian bank thinking my CAQ would be ready before the 26th of May but instead of the CAQ, I got a notification to send additional documents for my CAQ to be issued. The SOA became a month old on 26th of May. My questions are, can my sponsor just send another month's SOA, covering just from 26th of April till present day and I'll add it to the previous one ending 26th of April? or he should just get a new SOA for 6 months? Moreover, the Australian bank didn't address the letter to IRCC but there was a disclaimer that the info on the SOA is correct as at the time it was issued but reliance on it is solely at the expense of whoever, is this not counterproductive? @Frankrobbn1 @Jnyuwa02 @Austinpee4 @mcobex |

bbclue:Can one just print additional month and add it to the previous one? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by bbclue(f): 11:06am On May 28, 2018 |
odimbannamdi: Firstly MUN IS good and very cheap if u can afford the first semester tuition fee is okay....but you must start it in your sop that the school accept only first semester fee But your need to look for a Co sponsor to support your 4m And every student is mandatory to work 20 hours a week I think gmat is 250dollar....I can't remember and you need to read hard for your exams because .... that is the little I know |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by bbclue(f): 11:10am On May 28, 2018 |
MeinKampf: Additional. .hmmmmm to me I will say you reprint all over again..because printing additional page will be on a separate bank paper....or are u going to staple it with the previous one......just closed your eye and reprint 6month bank statement....other you can still print 3month bank statement if you wish 1 Like |

Goodmorning guys! I went to do my medicals today, and i got the notion that upfront medicals can be a whole new wahala SOMETIMES. Some VOs dont actually take time to check for your result, they will just go ahead and regenerate another form for you to go do medicals, and in such cases, u will have to go back to where you did your medicals and do a redocumentation that will cost you another fee. This is just what i found out today. Please gurus, how can i avoid this? Will stating in my SOP that i have done my medical on so so date help? 1 Like 1 Share |

bbclue:I'm obviously going online, so I plan to scan the additional month and merge with the previous and explain why I have to do that. The SOA is for my sponsor, the previous one cost him about AUD35 to send via DHL, which I don't think he'll be willing to do again. I'm thinking if he can just scan the additional month and I explain with letter from Quebec about the delay in processing CAQ |
