Really? Interestingly, I went to the best secondary school in Nigeria (at least until I left after my JSS3 because of their fees). It's called Loyola Jesuit College, Abuja. grin

I'm sure that's a very good school though. Their track record is good.

Yes:

"The Waawa clan of Northern Igboland, also referred to as Ndi Waawa, Wawa People, are a unique sub-group of the Igbo people in Enugu State, Nigeria, consisting of several communities, who all speak a unique dialect of Igbo called Waawa. The most notable among these are the Agbaja and Ngwo which consist of peoples between the wooded lands of Awka (capital of Anambra State) to the rocky valleys of Enugu (capital of Enugu State). The Agbaja are made up of communities in present-day Ngwo clan, Udi, Ezeagu, Igbo-Etiti, Oji River, greater Awgu, and Enugu East Local Government Areas. Other notable parts of the Waawa clan include Nkanu, Nsukka, Abia (not be confused with people from Abia State), Nike, and other communities in Enugu State."

Whether Awka people are Wawa or not, Awka people probably have more in common with people from Udi, Oji River etc than they have with someone from Onitsha or Idemili. smiley Same way an Ihiala man has more in common ndi Orlu in Imo state than he has with Awka people. State boundaries are artificial creations that often reflect little about cultural affinity. That's why all these you and Chino's supremacist Anambra provocations of other Igbos make no sense.

Awka has some migrations from Enugu and even Igala but you cant classify them as Wawa just like you can classify Ogbaru as Anioma or Asaba as Anambra. Awka do not also speak like Wawa people and has Anambraic culture

Liar, the Orumba people in Anambra of clearly defined Aro ancestry with Abia and parts of Imo largely speak a variant of Nkanu in Enugu state, do we now define them as a clan in Nkanu?
Azia, Ihiala, Uli etc speak Orlu dialect so you want to tell us they are a clan under Orlu?
Just because Awka wva wva meaning no no now means the Wawa people in Enugu and them are the same.
Just tell the Enugu state government to give us our Ugwuoba you stole before talking trash.
Ndi Anambra have a common destiny despite the fact that we are divided between separate hegemonies and kingdoms: Nri, Onicha, Aro, Igala etc
Don't ever equate Ndi Awka with Wawa people, don't ever equate Ndi Orumba with Nkanu which is equally Wawa, don't ever equate Ihiala and the the rest to Orlu.
Anambra is one and same.

Nwanne, welu-kwonu nwayor maka ngala ka eji agbalu efu oso. We will gradually and steadily keep educating our people who are ignorant of the Anambra structure and pattern of migration. Orumba people like Amaokpala, Awgbu and Oko has migrations from Awka area thats why they speak a bit like Nkanu-ish.

Also, during the Aro confederacy era alot of clans in Anambra merchants also travelled to Aro for trade and stayed there till the fall of the confederacy. Some of these people returned after the defeat of the confederacy by the Brits and brought back some characters they learned in their sojourn. Nnewi ,Ihiala and Orumba has alot of Aro connection but they practice the almighty NZE NA OZO of Anambra people. Umuoji had some people who migrated to Aro and founded Amorka village. About a decade ago they return to pay homage to Ndi Umuoji and asked for a land.

A lot of communities in Orlu were migrants from Anambra.

Ndi Omambala are one and same, we could have differences in dialects because of contiguity and even language but we remain same.
We defend our common interest over anything else with no apologies to anybody.
I don't insult Ndi Wawa so channel that to chino but only trying to tell you that Ndi Awka are not a clan of Wawa. We are purely of Nri and Igala stock.
I can still trace my ancestry to both.
That politicians from Ihiala and Orlu decided to do their thing doesn't mean they are speaking for everyone.
Ndi Anambra remain one and same.

Omanbala is one and we dont have to keep highlighting routes of migration in order to build one strong identity. Onicha wanted to sow seed of division but they are gradually coming around. Omanbala must be one united strong body of people with one identity and culture. Nobody dare bring division into our fatherland and dont bleed. Every Onye Omanbala but defend our fatherland with your last drop of blood, must not be lazy, marry from Anambra and make sure your children speak Omanbala dialect with our MOSTLY "L" factor. We must always bail our brothers in difficult times. No need running other Igbos down because its counter productive and will incur hatred.
