quote author=dayo4 post=67893858]Good day Everyone, I've been following this movement from the previous thread since mid-2016, regards to Chief Bellong and other Honourable members in the house. I applied for assessment with Engineers Australia. I have no professional job experience and I wrote my career episodes based on two internships and final year project work. Now, the assessor is demanding a reference letter for the 3rd career episode which I based on the second internship. What I have currently is an acceptance letter issued by the organization when I started the internship. Please, Engineers in the house, I need a format of an acceptable Reference letter so I can approach the former workplace HR with it. Thanks in advance.[/quote]

Greeting everyone.
I am new here but I have read the previous thread somewhat.
I want to find out if my spouse can apply for sales and marketing because he currently works as a corporate sales manager in a telecoms company. However his degree is in pharmacy. He however has at least 10 years experience in the role.

I also read somewhere in the thread that there could be an alternate pathway for pharmacists by applying as pharm techs. Please can anyone help shed more light on this? Thanks in anticipation.

Good day to you all! A big kudos to the organisers of this forum, God bless you all. Please I will like some clarifications on some issues;
My hubby got a positive assessment with ACS as computer network and system Engineer since 2016 but until now he has not been able to get 10 points in PTE / IELTS after like 10 attempts of both. He has 55 points from age, experience and qualifications.

So we decided I should help out with spouse’s 5 points but unfortunately I got a negative assessment from IPA with my HND Accountancy.

After a lot of encouragements I got reading from this great forum I decided to encourage hubby cos it’s obvious he’s tired and has given up ( he doesn’t want to hear anything like PTE or IELTS ever again seriously... he stammers a bit). I intend to be the principal applicant, get assessed with vetassess with my experience as a hotel manager, I have 10 points from PTE already, 25 points from age, and HND in Accountancy. Will this fly for 489? Please I urgently await advice from my brothers and sisters in the house, kindly assist! Thank you

Please something is confusing me. If my work has nothing to do with my qualification. Can I apply for any of the visas. Without claiming point from work experience.

Yes, quite common with engineering qualifications. But others fields of study may require you to have 1 oe more years of experience in the field to be able to move forward.

This is my sincere advice for pharmacists here.If you have not paid for assessment or exam ,please consider canada.its far easier for our profession compared to Australia. My opinion though

Also which universities are tier 1 or tier 2. pls is Obafemi Awolowo University and Federal University of Agriculture of Abeokuta tier 1 or tier 2 universities, want to be sure my friend and I can have our full points for education qualification. hope someone that studied computer science in a federal university of agriculture can still be awarded full points of 15 for education qualification?

Will really appreciate your helpful response.

Thanks
For ACS,
Your job roles description is what is most important here, it must properly align with ACS standard
If you are willing, you can send me a PM to get a second or third eye on the reference letters for you and your friend.

For the tittle a simple Business Analyst will be sufficient.

As to whether OAU/FUAAB is a tier 1 or 2, from my experience, it does not carry much weight as the ICT content in your transcript, both of which are out of your control and you can't do anything about it since it is whatever it is already.
Therefore your focus should be on an airtight reference letter that can get you maximum point in one single shot.

Alphadoor has said it all but I would chip in on the job title. It doesnt matter at all. The most important thing is aligning your job description to the ANZSCO. ACS does not bother with job title.

Yes sir, he has the competent English test and I just read now his occupation is available both in Far South Coast and Southern Inland in NSW but the issue is Far South Coast is requesting for 7777 it’s so confusing. He has just two months for his 2016 positive assessment to expire. Please advise. Thank you.

I think they only accept degrees in education.

If you have PGDE, it will fly.
Better to check AITSL site.
