Despite the urgency to start doing something, if you do vehicle inspection, you are supposed to enlighten the car owner or make your observations about the car known upfront.

If you take a car that would affect your performance, except the driver has a great personality, believe me he would be labeled a bad driver and wouldn’t be able to defend himself because he never make known any observations before collecting the car keys.

If you observed anything during car inspection, make it known and have the car owner fixed it (if it can be fixed) before you sign Agreement and collecting car key. If you don’t make your observations known during car inspection and you now start giving stories when you’re supposed to deliver your weekly rental, I think that is a little too late.

What an euberventful week...my car fan developed an issue wednesday night around 11pm had to abruptly end a trip at maryland roundabout as car was overheating.rider apparently had difficulty getting another ride and seemed to have to walk to to the busstop after trying to get another ride from my car..next day i get a call from Uber to go for vehicle inspection and i would be disabled, i put two and two 2geda that the rider most likely reported but the uber dude from abroad makes it sound like a random issue.am disabled till i do an inspection which i eventually do on saturday n pass. on monday am forced to leave the island to go to uber office at maryland to submit my inspection report PDF report oh that i could have sent via mail .After waiting like 30/40mins becos the queue long.. na from their staircase e start.. i sort out my issue and am ready to hit the road but i rush back to work and somehow monday ends and i dont even take any rides.tuesday today i finally go online but no rides so i decide to try out the Airport as i see only 3 cars on the queue.i finally get my first ride in 5 days headed to oworo side...we get there and Gbola!!!! the terrible roads of oworo burst my car sump and immediately the oil is spilled on the road..i have never experienced such before in over 15 years of driving well i guess there is always a 1st.so my whole day ruined and new sump of 12k to be purchased 2morow plus 8k engine oil...unplanned xpenses.... ..life of an Uber driver..please be veru careful of oworo roads..terrible sumtins..

You are rite my brother.. By the way raining season is here.. Me am taking my time.. Am waiting for the first batch of cars to fall victim to the rain.. The people that will suffer are ones that uber is the only source of income.. For a fact I will slow down bringing in cars ...once the rain settle down, will hear stores that touches.. Partners if you like continue driving your cars in the rain and all the bad places.. My advice which am not trying to force anybody, if you have a few fleet the ones that are down coz of the affect of the rain, just park quietly o till the rain either stops or roads are better.. There is no point fixing the same issues again that was caused by the rain and than put it out their to cause the same problem.. This is a mechanic season or they go chop money clean... " What a great time to be alive "

You are absolutely right.

One of the difficult things I have done in this business is driver recruitment.

A bad driver is a bad driver whether you collect Security Deposit or not and Yes, Security Deposit wouldn’t solve all issues but it reduce your loss in case of default.

There is no standard, you can choose to collect Security Deposit or not. The final decision is yours but please for the seek of your investment don’t ever compromised in your drivers recruitment.

Do follow you gut. If something doesn’t feel right, believe me it’s not right.
