This is NOT a military regime! Workers often go on strike in the West, and when they do, the affected parties sit to negotiate without issuing threats.

Which country in the West do workers go on an indefinite strike?

The new Johesu would go on another strike. We are not ordinary workers dat can be replaced by d click of a finger... Do u knw how many years experience would be thrown away if they sack all old health workers? Lol. Who would run tutoring seminars for the new intakes... We're not an ordinary workforce that can easily be employed... Get that straight...

And dont think we're hungry... There's something called "Locum" I'm a pharmacist and I'm currently doing my locum at two different pharmacies since d strike started, add both pay together and i still get enough to flex per month... How I wan take hungry bros?

What kind of fairness is JOHESU looking for?

Or you people like misleading the Nigerian public?
You keep feeding the public with false information. And they keep swallowing it hook, line and sinker.
I don't blame you people sha.
I blame the average Nigerian who has refused to find out things for himself and just feels comfortable believing whatever soothes his sensibilities.

Tell me, point by point, how JOHESU is being treated unfairly in Nigerian Hospitals.
And let's weigh them against the international best practices you guys keep talking about.

LOL.

Nobody is seeking the sympathy of Nigerians.
They should save their sympathy for you guys because you guys are the ones who need it.
That's why you guys go out of your way to look for it and court it, even if it means spreading falsehood.

How exactly is JOHESU being maltreated?
You cannot even answer.

Lmao... Are u ok? My dear NMA idiot. I have never for once treated a patient that came back saying what i gave to him/her didn't work. I have had patients collect my number after a previous treatment just so they can call me up nd ask if they have any medical problems in future.. I have had patients say they will not go to hospitals again cos doctors charge soo much nd dey still get the same treatment nd prescriptions as they would get in a pharmacy at even cheaper rates.. But We still counsel patients to go to hospitals in debilitating conditions nd severe/ life threatening conditions.

See, at the end of the day, its d patient dat matters... So lets all swallow our pride nd do what we can to help. If a patient comes to me complaining about a medical condition I have studied nd I'm seeing the classical symptoms, i would give the patient drugs to help him. I would still counsel d patient to see a doctor if the presenting symptoms are new to me, or if further investigations are needed.
U are a doctor nor be birth right. All u know, u studied nd read. Every other person can study and learn and knw as well...
Even Chemist's with lots of experience treat some cases way better than doctors... Ive seen some prescription forms coming from d said doctors in private clinics... Its awful.
Stay humble... Learn more... Better urself nd let others better themselves. The sky is big enough for all professions

You see how you're indicting yourself??

Do you realize that sometimes when a patient presents with these classical symptoms you're talking about, those classical symptoms may be masking other quieter and more sinister symptoms?
That is how you will keep giving the patient drugs without prescription, wasting precious time for the patient, until the situation has become bigger than you can handle.
That is when you will now send the patient to the hospital and expect the doctor to perform a miracle. And if perchance, the situation has gone past the critical stage that the doctor won't be able to effect any change, and the patient dies, his/her relatives will say it is the doctor that killed the patient. They won't remember when the person was wasting time patronizing a chemist/pharmacist.
The reason you don't want to send the patient to the hospital is not because you want to help the patient. You keep the patient just to make your own profit from the patient. Because, if you will be truthful to yourself, you will realize that if you actually wanted to help the patient, you would send the patient to a hospital to see a doctor.
If the patient happens to be your relative, you won't even waste time. You will send him to see a doctor sharp sharp but when it is a stranger, you will keep him to make your own money off of him.

The worst part is either that Nigerians don't care or that they like being deceived.

Yes, everything that the doctor read, you can read it too.
Nobody is doubting it.
But the fact on ground is that everything the doctor read, you didn't read it na.
It is that simple.
You chose your own lane and the doctor chose his own.

You say everyone should be humble.
Good.
Do you show humility in your own attitude towards other health workers?
Do you show humility when you take it upon yourself to be making diagnostic calls and decisions even though you were not trained to do so?
You did not receive the training required to make diagnoses yet you keep making diagnoses just because you feel you can.
Now, is that a mark of the humility you're talking about?
Or is it only doctors that you want to preach the gospel of humility to?

Actually, one thing you're not understanding is that regulatory bodies for all health professionals in Nigeria are agencies of the Federal Government established by Acts of Parliament.
They are not Trade Unions or Pressure Groups.

Please note this difference.

They shld be sacked

There are millions of qualified health care workers slaving for pea nuts in private hospitals, this will be a golden opportunity for them
That is the highest deceit, these health workers you are talking about have professional bodies controlling them, the license of the erring members can be withdrawn.

Hahahahahahahahah see this quack. This is exactly why NMA are against you JOHESU people getting titles you do not qualify for. If pharmacists become consultants, i wonder what they would turn the health sector to when ordinarily they diagnose and treat when they are NOT supposed to. Baba you are a quack if you do things outside your job description/qualification. I wonder how many people you have sent to their early graves due to your mediocre understanding of diseases and appropriate treatment.
grin grin grin When people take up roles they are not qualified for, its as a result of inferiority complex. This is the main problem of JOHESU. They wish to be doctor but are not qualified or capable of being doctors grin
