Continue making fool of yourself. I am talking of street hawking not illegal markets or illegal attachments to buildings. 100% of street hawkers in Anambra are wawa and abakaliki people.
are you back from your sit at home?

Continue deceiving yourself, don't tell yourself the truth. Street trading/hawking is a wawa/nsukka and abakaliki problem. The perpetrators are easily identifiable with their wawa tribal marks and their black, ugly abakaliki faces. They are all over anambra especially our urban centres and they must surely be eradicated by force if their states of origin fail to stem the tide of their inflow into anambra. Currently, the anambra state government is funding the building of a special detention centre at a location I won't disclose yet that will hold arrested wawa and abakaliki street hawkers till they are deported.
Ive been watching u on this thread for quite some time ,and with the way you reason and talk, one can only hope that youve not reached 20.
But if you have, then something went seriously wrong.
I pity the ones who do,or will call u "father".

Nothing that you are saying has not been said before. But when you realize that you might as well be talking to a wall, you calm down to keep your sanity intact. If your goal here is to make sense of things happening in Nigeria, then you have failed before you started. Take it as you see it or show by example. The people in charge do fly to UK, US and some exotic places. They know how things should be done but choose not to do it. A lot of people complained many times and finally gave up.

Its happening everywhere, this is the Damija road, leading to phase 6 of Trans Ekulu. Trading in every corner.

You are now showing pictures of street trading and attachment trading in enugu. As bad as this picture of enugu is, what will you say when you come to aba. Folks, I'm absolutely not joking when I say this; THE WAY ABA LOOKS, MAKE ME ASHAMED TO BE AN IGBO MAN. Aba is ten times worse than Enugu. I'm an aba boy, grew up in the city, on danfodio road before moving to umungasi in the mid seventies. Our house was literally one of the first to be built in umungasi, which was practically an ngwa village back then. Three years ago, after I came home for a quick visit, I couldn't step out of my house to go for a stroll. I just couldn't. Everytime I stepped out and walked about one block, I always quickly turned around. Just couldn't continue!! Since then, I CRY EVERYTIME I REMEMBER THE EXPERIENCE. I went to Santa Maria primary school near ogbor hill, with the children of creme de la creme of aba society. OGBOR HILL LOOKS LIKE HELL ON EARTH TODAY. The big flowing river in ogbor hill has almost dried up. Driving on the aba ikot ekpene road, passing ogbor hill, the whole surrounding valley looked like there are one million people trading there. There are millions of people trading on aba streets. Driving a car on asa road which is known as Aba's main thoroughfare is a nightmare. Hawkers and street traders don't allow motorist and the notorious keke napep people free movement. Keke mechanics were fixing people's keke right there on the street. HEAPS AND HEAPS OF REFUSE LITTER THE ENTIRE LANDSCAPE. As bad as it was, there's some improvements. I use to attack everything abia state on the vanguard comment section until my visit to nigeria of late. I was pleasantly surprised that ikpeazu has been trying his level best to rebuild all the bad roads that were completely not motorable three years ago. I'm really impressed with his work and I apologise for ATTACKING him the few times I did. He should continue in his endeavour, but what aba and all the other igbo cities need is a COMPLETE MAKEOVER. In short, we should essentially go back to SQUARE ONE pure and simple. There are no two ways about it.

I have relations who trade on the street. They are not wawa or Abakaliki but from Anambra. They do it because it's a shortcut to not having to pay for a shop in a busy location and not having to do any marketing whatsoever. They subtract from the economy because of their shortcut. Think about how much they steal away from real estate development, from electricity infrastructure, from printing signs, billboards and flyers.

It's the informal mentality is why Nigeria is a special case of backwardness. The rest of the world is actively creating attractive, sophisticated, new shopping spaces and experiences, the Nigerian is selling like an ape out of the wheelbarrow or hastily constructed wooden table or shack.

We may as well go back to wearing no shoes and a loincloth.

Oga are you sure, which part of Aba are you referring to? or you are acting on what you read on naira land and other internet forum.

Aba is not what you make it look here on naira land. And Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu is equally transforming the city to at least give it an African standard. pls no argument and don't quote me, just visit the city and prove me right/wrong.

What are you trying to say? What exactly do you mean by which part of aba I'm referring to? I was VERY VERY charitable with my description of aba. If I was to be truthful, I could simply have referred to aba as a total and complete SHITHOLE city which it TRULY is. If you have never left your village or aba your entire life, then, I don't blame you for your response. Like I said, the greatest sin right now in igboland is not it's sorry state, but the CONSPIRACY OF SILENCE by it's famous sons and daughters who should have known better. That's why I always gave praises to Arthur Eze for being brave enough to go in front of abia governor and elders and told them to their faces that abia state was ROTTEN.

Like I said, I was very charitable in my descriptions of aba. Nobody, and absolutely nobody can preach anything to me about aba. I'm what is known in the heydays of the late seventies and early eighties as an aba brought up. I went to Santa Maria primary school which was where ALL THE WEALTHY children of aba went to school. Right now, Aba is a DEAD city subsisting on its vomit. The city cannot grow anymore because it's surrounded by ngwa villages. Even in the early seventies, from the city center of asa road, going one mile exiting the city was umungasi, which is flanked by eziama. Both umungasi and eziama all the way to where ngwa high school is was totally and completely ngwa villages. These places are now part of aba, but that's because almost all the land was sold by the ngwa indegenious. Uptil today my family still live in aba. Anytime I visit nigeria, I've no choice than to stay in aba. I've been visiting nigeria every year now for the past three years, so, please don't come here with your fake assertions

I already promised myself to start videotaping stuff, both in the south east and in the US. When I do that, it's some of you doubting Thomases that will run for the exit. Trust me on this, what I will show will BLOW AND BOGGLE your mind at the same time.

Shut your stinking mouth there you dumb sucker. Try to get out of your village every now and then. You don't have to cross any ocean because you can even travel to south africa to observe it's cities and how they look like. When, and only when you do that, you will never go on a public forum to EMBARRASS yourself.

Perhaps...just may be, if you start staying in clean and progressive cities like Enugu, Onitsha, Awka....your brain may reset to factory setting.
I think the dirty fumes you inhale periodically at Aba is beginning to have adverse effects on you.

But some parts of Enugu are well planned, plots laid out in neat streets and zones, good roads, and good attempts made to control development of houses so that too many high rises are not built in a particular zone.

These pictures are from Ike Ekweremadu avenue of Independence Layout in Enugu. (Popularly known as Bricks layout)

But there are many roads left undone in some streets. Still, people are building undeterred. Government should understand our need for building development and contribute their own share of resources to make these places more habitable.

The government has so far failed in its attempts to dislodge the whole traders selling building materials at Kenyatta area of Uwani Enugu. Those little red roofs you see were meant to be shops for the traders who will move over. The traders has continued to trade on the streets till today.

You are right to an extent, but there are some parts of Nigeria that were well planned, the problem is that infrastructure development was at a complete stop in the last 50 years. Enugu planners has done some appreciable work. There were no uncontrolled urbanization in most parts, except for inner towns like Amechi village and inner parts of Nike.
