Today's auction was the last for Q2 2018. For the first time in the entire quarter, we witnessed a rise in stop rates. I am optimistic about the coming quarter. I expect further rises at the June 13th auction. By the way, thank you Yinka2011 for the quick up date. God bless you. |

ahiboilandgas: Bro there is no savings account in Nigeria that will give you 4.5% every month, if there is people will not be buying treasury bills. You are saying if i put 1 million in the savings account i will be getting 45k monthly, |

ImperialCovfefe:How long have you been viewing T-bills calendar? There are things you don't have to tell an adult. I've known the meaning of quarters since basic school, don't you think? |

uuspace: The rate 4.5% is calculated annually not monthly. That should be about #3750 every month. 1 Like |

uuspace:Kindly visit the nearest first tier banks for satisfactory clarifications. GTBANK savings interest rate is 3.5%. Fixed deposit below 1M is 4.5%. Fixed deposit from 1M and above is 5.5%..... If you like fix 100m...,it's still 5.5% 2 Likes |

ImperialCovfefe: TB calendar is not the same thing as January - December calendar. TB first month is not January. A company that operates the April-March accounting cycle for example will not have April-May-June as second quarter. 1 Like |

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by uuspace(m): 12:31pm On May 31, 2018 |
Gavrelino123: Bro i am not here to argue with you. The rates you are quoting are they per month or annualised? Treasury bills is still approximately 10% annualized, and it is better than the rates you get from savings account. Why will people go for treasury bills, if the savings account rate is better? 2 Likes 1 Share |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Gavrelino123: 1:36pm On May 31, 2018 |
uuspace:The rates i quoted in previous are annually. No professional will ever tell you it's per annum except on-request or empirically documented ...Kindly indicate if you are a newbie. 3.5% per annum savings vs 10.5% per annum treasury bills...!!! Treasury Bills is king. 1 Like |
