Frankrobbn1: Hello Frankrobbn1 I'm not referring to any automated email from VFS. I'm referring to the content on CIC website stating that study permits and temporary visa applications from Nigeria are processed in Lagos. Some time last year when I checked, it was being processed in Accra. Also I think the approvals from London, Nairobi and Turkey were all online applications which lead to the conclusion that online apps can be processed anywhere. Here's the link to the CIC page https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/contact-ircc/offices/international-visa-offices.html 1 Like |

Frankrobbn1: I think it has changed now. Those applications are being processed in Lagos. The last time I checked as at January or so, the link said Nigerian study permits were processed in Accra now it says Lagos. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/contact-ircc/offices/international-visa-offices.html 1 Like |

If you can go to Abuja, it will be better for you. I did mine there yesterday(including biometrics) in less than one hour. ayoslas88: |

From the link you sent, it was stated that "federal Skilled Workers, Federal Skilled Trades and Canadian Experience Class: Express Entry are processed in Lagos while All other applications are processed in Accra. Lemia: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Frankrobbn1: 8:18am On May 31, 2018 |
Lemia: Sounds interesting! Indeed it has changed, but I'm yet to see an application that was processed at LAGOS visa office. All good! Thanks for the info |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Frankrobbn1: 8:22am On May 31, 2018 |
Phocusjosh: Lemia was actually correct! See attached! Permanent resident applications are being processed at Accra, while temporary resident visa are handled in LAGOS visa office, of which I'm yet to see an application that was processed by them. Because most paper applications I have seen are handled at Nairobi or Accra. 1 Like

Frankrobbn1: Well I had to do some small work in Petroleum distribution business. My dad owns a few businesses. Do you have any tips on how I could draft my SOP to convince the Visa officer that I will come back after my studies? I think maybe I should include official documents of property owned by dad. 1 Like |

Quick information for anyone going for submission at VFS Lagos, you can’t have your submission done the same day, you have to book an appointment to a later date like 2-4 days after, for biometric it’s about a day after booking of appointment , I hope I helped someone from some disappointment. 3 Likes |

JoseJonn: Your application got to the embassy on 17th .. yes you submitted on the 16th and because of transit time between vac and embassy that is why it was received on the 17th. So kindly use 17th to do your counting 1 Like |
