K. Nwakali has been identified as a special talent long before today. As far back as 2012/2013. This is Five to six years later. The coaching crew giving him support is commendable. It does not run down other players but encourages them to keep working hard to take their opportunities when they get their chances.

What makes you a special talent is when you currently, consistently perform with that special talent year in and year out with commensurate upwards progression.

You certainly do not rely on past glories or using the national team set up to market your failing career.

The accolades that followed him where crazy the next Drogba, etc, etc. He was released by United in 2013 before he was 21. He dropped so low that he began playing non league he is only 24 now.

Youthful exceptional talent has a sell by date after that it has expired if it has not been proven on the professional field of play.

I can count hundreds if not thousands of players that had Way more accolades that Nwakali and cost a lot more £££ than he did. I know players brought from Canada France etc within one year or two dropped. Some allowed to stay in the U23 and stagnate with dust. When time reach you are sweepf out and forgotten.

Meanwhile the esteemed all-knowing coaching crew of the NFF is still looking at past glories.

In football what you need is opportunity to show your talent but opportunity should be deserved not awarded by favour.
