Family ties can be tackled with Birth certificates of siblings, marriage certificate of parents and as well write about your family like the love and how you intend to return to your family after your studies. Then purpose of visit can be well tackled with a good SOP by detailing your passion for computer information tech, educate the VO how maths and statistics relates well wit your intended course of study and explain into details the economic benefits of studying computer info tech. What is the economic opportunity you are trying to create and harness? Please be as specific as possible. What is your current job role and how does it relate with your course of study and link it with your long term goal. Why study leave for a 2-years program?? Hope your affidavit of return won't deter you from applying for PGWP after your PGD? 2page SOP (was vetted it by a trusted guru) this is totally wrong and won't make someone else be willing to go through SOP, take full responsibility of the outcome of your application. All the best in your next application and ensure you request for GCMS note. OFFICIALAEL: 1 Like 1 Share |

mcobex:The problem is that I was told that, such takes minimum 30 days. Meaning that I won’t have enough time to apply in July when it comes out since the visa process is 2 months? The reasons for refusal in my first attempt were:

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mcobex: 11:24pm On May 31, 2018 |
reichwolf:Bro, like I said order for your GCMS note before making any other step. It is better you know why you were denied(the real reasons) before you reapply(even if it means you not meeting up with Fall resumption). Contact your school and let them know your app was denied and let them tell you when is the next available session for you, then you can defer your admission to that time while you fix the reasons for your denial PROPERLY. NB: SHARE YOUR PROFILE LETS SEE WHY THE VO THICKED PURPOSE Of VISIT AND IMMIGRATION STATUS IN COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE 1 Like |

Phocusjosh:Let your mind be at rest bro, just get all your things ready. Maybe VO wants you to buy him/she a bottle of beer first On a more serious note, start looking for flight to book as your approval is sure. I want to believe you are to resume in September, right? 1 Like |

mcobex: Concerning the Status in Country of residence, I was in the UK at the time as I just finished my MSc in Petroleum. Also concerning the Purpose of Visit: I was planning a PGD in Business administration in Medicine Hat College Alberta. I think that maybe the VO didn’t find it convincing enough to spend much money just for a 1 year PGD. This time I’m applying to get the visa for a 2 year MBA in Thompson Rivers University, Kamloops British Columbia. I think that maybe showing real academic progression by doing an actual MBA might convince them in my SOP? Thanks for y’all answers. 1 Like |

Thanks bro, September 1 is my resumption date. mcobex: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mcobex: 11:49pm On May 31, 2018 |
reichwolf:From what you have said, I can see you did MSc in petroleum and now going for business management, why the sudden change? Do you have any prior management experience? There has to be career progression from your BSc-MSc-working experience-your intended programme. If there's no progression it will be a problem. All these are just suggestions from me and it is only your GCMS note that will bring out the real reasons behind your denial, so please try and get it before reapplying(even if it means you deferring your application now) |

All the best in your next application and ensure you request for GCMS note. A quick one! The birth certificate should be from NPC national population commission that's what CIC recongises u can do it at alagbon passport office area. Photocush nice one, u killed it! Very insightful. You are fully responsible for the outcome of ur application, your SOP is the only interview u will have with d VO.. It shld be comprehensive and explanatory as d VO can only guess. Even if a guru revamped ur SOP.. No one can modify it more than u will. U will get it right this time All the best. |

Hello @JoseJohn NPC or not, an authentic birth cert. is good enough. Just as @Phocus mentioned birth cert. of sibilings, parents and marriage cert. of parents and also stylishly mentioning them in your SOP will suffice. *Couldnt quote the post am replying |

Guys pls, I was in IOM ikeja today for upfront medicals , when I enquired on how I will get the result . the lady said they will send the result to CIC within 2days . My concern is this , I thought I will be given the result (sealed) and then attach it to my application package , Cuz how will my result be sent to CIC that doesn't have any info of me yet? Pls help out. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Frankrobbn1: 9:59am On Jun 01, 2018 |
Kishkosh:Kishkosh, You won't be able to see the result of your upfront medicals until you apply for visa. An E-medical slip will be issued to you by the hospital where you completed the medicals, of which you're expected to include this slip with your application. The Visa officer will then use the UMI number that is located at the beneath of the medical slip to track the medical result and upload it on your CIC account whenever you have submitted your application. |

@Frankrobbn1 is it necessary to put my address and the Lagos High commission address when writing SOP? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Frankrobbn1: 10:07am On Jun 01, 2018 |
chisiudeh:chisiudeh, Address your SOP to the deputy high commission of Canada. There is no need putting your address. |

Bosses, in a situation where the profs aren't taking master's student in the field I want to study, what do I do? And the school (Dalhousie University ) says it's not mandatory to contact supervisors. Do I apply to the same field still or to another |
