HOW ZENITH ALMOST TOOK ALL OF MY PROFIT FROM TRANSCORP AND OANDO
On 30th May, I remember buying 350,000 units of zenith bank at 26.2 because I thought the bull was around, more so that diamond, fidelity, fcmb and transcorp (among others) went on a sudden full bid. Minutes later, the bulls started losing strength so I immediately sold all the units at 26.10. At that point I was pained because of the loss and the broker's fees which all came up to almost 210,000 loss in just a few minutes.
Looking back now at the price of zenith bank(25.50) today, I have no regrets. I would have lost more than the dividend would have given me. I even think I can get it at 24.

Brokers are making money! grin

(“Century” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a binding letter agreement dated as of May 25, 2018 (the “Letter Agreement”) with a leading Nigerian-based cement company, Ibeto Cement Company Limited (“Ibeto”). The Letter Agreement outlines the proposed terms and conditions pursuant to which Century Petroleum Corp and Ibeto Cement Company Limited will effect a business combination that will result in a reverse takeover of Century Petroleum by the shareholders of Ibeto Cement Company Limited (the “Proposed Transaction”). The Letter Agreement was negotiated at arm’s length. Per the Agreement, Dr. Cletus Ibeto has acquired 70% control of Century Petroleum Corp. Effective May 24, 2018, Mandla J. Gwadiso, newly appointed Chairman and CEO of Century Petroleum Corp has stepped down and Dr. Cletus M. Ibeto has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Board effective immediately. Dr Ibeto is a world-class business leader and enterpreneur who has built successful companies/industries in Nigeria and beyond. Through Ibeto Cement Company Limited, Dr Ibeto has seriously impacted the cement market in Nigeria. This transaction will enable Ibeto Cement Company Limited to raise sufficient capital to dominate the industry in Nigeria and West African sub region as a whole.

With this development I see DANGOTE CEMENT crashing below N100 in the near future and that will SURELY give Alhaji a HEARTACHE grin

BARGAIN HUNTERS TAKE NOTE.

IBETO CEMENT the people's choice coming back to main stream will surely break DANGOTE CEMENT MONOPOLY and drag the share price back to N100 where it belong.

You took all the right actions post purchase of that stock! Nothing to worry about. Your sales proceeds should fetch you more than the quantity disposed in not too distant time.

is dangote cement d only stock in d market? pls focus on the field rather than focusing on d perimeter. it may even bounce back before d end of trade

The truth is that you cannot ignore Dangote Cement, especially in a bear market. You see the way it brought the index to its knees today (-3.38). if it continues like this on Monday, it could trigger panic selling of other stocks. You see, Guaranty eventually cracked today.

Though a quick fall can make many stocks too tempting to ignore, and we may see bull. The way things are now, no one can tell.

No recommendations here, please.

You should have given your CHN to your new broker.

Write CSCS and apply for a merger of your CHN, indicating the preferred CHN.

mkt looks overdue, prices hv fallen to massive oversold levels on all time frames ..
if the bounce only makes a lower high , den expect bearish continuation afterwards
if the bounce breaks us back above 40k for example, den Agba is right about the ''deep correction''
wen will d bounce happen ? it anyone's guess

I don't think your calculation is correct. You lost 35k plus in real trade. Add your brokerage fee then you will get the rest. Give and take, still less than 100k loss as against the 210k loss you presented.
