Even the news article I posted which you quoted said similar thing. Many more media outlets who followed the game were objective enough to say it also in different terms.... that.. We WERE better than England in that second half. The English did well defending deeply. And you know what..... yes, I agree... I think you did watch a different game. Joebie: |

The one with Sane and Reus does not match naa... absolute mismatch. Reus has the pedigree while Sane is still a young super talent. It was always gonna be an in-form and fit Reus over Sane. Reus has been very unlucky to miss big tournaments due to injuries. We all know the story naa. Man City fans should just take heart. Their boy still has 2022 WC and even before that, Euro 2020. asha80: 1 Like |

Abeg, I go drop mic here. Make we apply "more significant" attention to next friendly bikonu. The Wembley friendly don pass and it obviously was a game that told a tale of two halves. England had one and Nigeria had the other. Chikena. June 6 don near finish. Joebie: 3 Likes |

Okay, Sane's omission made me go around Facebook and I came to understand/see reasons why Coach's decisions should be respected. Sane has played 10 or more matches for Germany with no goal to show for it even when a lot of chance was created for it. He plays selfishly like he is a Messi some of the time, makes unnessary dribbles and lose the ball. The German philosphy is team work. Joachim has players more experienced than him who contribute more in the German team than he does. Club form is different from National team form. in conclusions, he doesn't fit in to Joachim's team at the moment, maybe a Pep Guardiola's team. These coaches know what they want most of the time, respect their decisions and only fault it when it is ineficient. 11 Likes |

Yes but we seldom threatened still. Did Pickford ever pull a nice save all match long? Modified We make it seem like we did to them what they did to us in the first half -- remove goals.. that's what I find appalling. The second half was for the most part even. Icon4s: |

Bolowolowo:Even if na for paradise. The result is what we want. Someone has to tell Rohr. I watched the match again this morning and I was so enraged as an English player was clutching on Uzoho and leaning on him to unsettle him when England was about to take a corner and no single defender from our team reacted. Even Uzoho set stand like mumu, didn't even react. It still happened in the next kick. 3 Likes |

Concerning the England Friendly, I think the main aim of playing friendly matches was achieved. The aim is to see how prepared you are, but it has been crystal clear that we still have so much work to do. In spite of the defeat what gladdens my heart is the midfield combo of Joel-Onazi; how the duo have been exposed. It is evident that we cannot depend on the duo and this will inform Rohr's decision going forward. See how much playing time Rohr has given Joel since rejoining the team hoping he can get it right. Another puzzle that this match solved is IWOBI's Midfield role which many people have advocated for on this thread. In as much as he does well as a winger, I think he will do even better in the midfield.... His creativity is top notch. Apart from Mikel, I think Iwobi is next in terms of creativity (I stand to be corrected) Bottom line: Joel - Onazi combination is bullshit Iwobi more essential in midfield 10 Likes |

lol let's say it as it is. And if the keeper was not made to at least pull a nice save. How many times did we hit the side netting or at least just miss the post by whiskers? elyte89: |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Certitude(m): 2:03pm On Jun 04, 2018 |
Everyone is just going emotional. Iwobi played centrally due to change in tactics. Even while in the wing, he drifted often to the centre. Iwobi would still play from the wings if Rohr ever plays the 4-2-3-1. I felt bad Aina was dropped but why all the complaints? Aina was never convincing and was rightly dropped. As for Joel, I would have preferred Agu making the final squad instead. 2 Likes |

Eligreat247:All correct. Ndidi should replace Joel. That guy is -ve 1 to the team. No dribbling, can't press, average positioning sense, not renowned for slick or long passes, not a solid marker. What the hell is he very good at? 1 Like |
