You do realize English is only an official language. Nigeria has hundreds of languages with thousands of dialects put together. It's simple, most Nigerians aren't ashamed of how they speak English, we call it Nigerian English. Kenyans think they speak good English but y'all don't.

You pronounce Love - Lahv, even the British don't do that, I've researched it and Nigerian English is quite pleasing to the hear, no Kenyan I ever met hated my accent. They disagree with pronounciaton and even scoff but the truth is, they marvel at the confidence with which it is made. I guess it cultural thing..but most kenyans will judge your based on the English your speak. Of course unlike say Nigerian or Ghanians or Ugandan---we don't like speaking English - we have uniting language in Kiswahili - which everyone can communicate in - and we only speak English officially - and we try to speak it right. Otherwise we either speak Kiswahili or Sheng (mix of swahili+english+african languages).

I wish your had your own Kiswahili - and you won't have to bastardize English. Unfortunately when you start saying Ozzband for husband - nobody will take you seriously in Kenya. They will try to muffle a laughter out of politeness.

But where did this Nigerian attitude come from because I also learnt that you folks abuse Ghanaians for their dark skin. We are neighbors to the Sudanese people who btw are very very very dark skinned squared (their dark skin is the stuff of tales n folklore in my tribe) but we dont exhibit similar backward behavior like Nigerians. Personally I've always known the very dark skinned people are first n foremost in Sudan and then in West Africa.
