Plz what is a barcode issue. Plz tell me cos i don't want be turned back a second time guys!

Barcode means the application ID generated during the time u started filling your DS-160 application. That is the one u used to scheduled your appointment. After filling your DS-160, then u submit and print out, the application ID now becomes your confirmation number in a bar code. The same appears on your schedule appointment with confirmation number bar code. So if the both does not tally with the same barcode numbers u are send bk. So make sure u check yours to confirm. Normally it is advisable to fill the DS-160 application, submit and use the confirmation number to schedule appointment but some of us make mistake scheduling appointment without saving our application to retain the number or u can not remember the security question, these makes us av different bar code. If u did not save, after 30 days the application will close or if u can not remember the security ans, u can not retrieve the application, so many pple av to open another application with diff application ID generated, so they forget to change it on their appointment and this make them to av different barcode.
Due to the appointment dates move fast and one need to grab it on time I will advice pple scheduling appointments to fill in the DS-160, save the application ID, use it to fill y appointment, then always SAVE any time u open your application, this will help u retain your application every 30days, write down the security ans in your dairy or always make sure u choose security question u can easily remember ps. On the other hand if u are not in a hurry to travel just fill your form, print out the confirmation and then schedule appointment with the confirmation barcode.

Handed him a blue paper.

A little bit about my profile.
I will be going with my kids for the interview. I'm an aquaculture farmer. I'm the owner of my farm. In which I established over five years now. I've been to the Gambia and Senegal before I got married. Now I have to shift our vacation to December for Christmas and new year vacation. Lol. Unto other matters, I was reading through Nairaland and came upon a comment by you. You said you had to remove your wife's interview transcript and you were skeptical about sharing the POE story.

I am really curious because everyone was hailing the interview transcript. I wished I had read it before you took it down. sad

For F1 visa it is not a must to have travel history. You can always reapply.

Good evening. Please when someone want to book appointment for a family of 3 (they are independent of one another) and one started with one of the applicants, then added that you are traveling with others and their details are requested, does it mean you only have to book one appointment for all of them? (other 2 people's information i.e DS-160 number and their name as well as their barcode number appears on the first person appointment confirmation) please help sort this. Thank you.

You must fill seperate DS160 form for each applicant... meaning you will have 3 DS160 numbers afterwards you will visit www.ustraveldocs.com to book an appointment for the interview this is where you will probably make the sponsor/oldest/the person in charge the main applicant while the 2 other applicant will be included with the main applicant.

You can get as much countries visas as you are able to obtain them as long as you have the financial capacity to handle your trips, ....its cheaper though in terms of cost of fare cos u have locations to play around with. I always ensure I have at least 3 different country'svisas at any point in time, it saves me cost of flight cos it enables me navigates easily via the cheapest route.

Take note of most refusals so far, it seems travel history is more important than anything now. You decide on what to do next. If I were you, I will build my travel history before applying

It;;s hard to give visa to someone who has a wife, kid and still pursuing an undergraduate degree. Your age could also have been another factor.

Oga, that's how it feels when you leave Naija for a while. The moment, you come back, you'll hate yourself. Things have gotten worse since you left and are still getting worse. Stay there.

Travel history isn't the the only factor considered. Some were refused for lack of it, others got their visa without it. Read through the thread and make up your own mind.

What is the worst that can happen if you don't get the Visa?

Dear Brother Afam,

I was in Nigeria last year and I only hated myself for staying only 3 weeks grin lol. I NEVER hate myself when am in my fatherland. The moment I land in Lagos or PHC I simply put my "naija jacket" on. I am not one of those "I too sabi abroad people" who wanna tear things down because power went off at the airport or the air conditioners not working (they should go and sit their flat yansh down and stop comparing a 40 year old nation with a 200 plus one)

Nigeria can be better I TOTALLY agree with you on that if that's what you meant to say, but the aura and happiness the people exude despite all is what unites us as a nation.

Rome was not built in a day, you and I WILL make it better if we use this aura to impact the political environment.

I will be there again Insha Allah in February 2019 to cast my vote and eat all those fresh food again (I usually make a food time table grin)

Find the right candidate and vote. You should look forward to it too.
