Thanks I had done what you suggested. I found what i really wanted Thank you sir. One more thing is I subscribe with 2M at 10.5% in May 2018.I needed the fund in july though. My question is should i terminate now or wait till end of july. Thanks alot awesomeJ: |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by awesomeJ(m): 9:49pm On Jun 06, 2018 |
bulalakoboko: By the end of July, rates are likely to be higher than they currently are. (+200bps maybe) So it'd be basically cheaper to liquidate now if you have an alternative vehicle to invest the funds in between now and end July. An MMF would make a good one. |

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by freeman67: 2:45pm On Jun 07, 2018 |
yanjutomi: Visiting the branch in person should make the difference... Also if there is another branch of GTB order than the one you called.. You can visit to make ur request otherwise... You can change bank to either first or Stanbic IBTC.. If any is accessible to you. |

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Nobody: 5:25pm On Jun 07, 2018 |
bulalakoboko: just go to your bank and inform them at the customer care section. You will just need to write a letter terminating the Tbills. that's all. and access bank paid me that same day I went to terminate my tbills. |

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by NL1960: 9:18am On Jun 08, 2018 |
yanjutomi: They are right. Primary market is an auction through a bidding process. It is after the end of the auction that a rate is known. Look at this way. It is like telling an auctioneer to give you the price of an item that you are going to bid with other people when the auction has not even taken place. It is only in secondary market that a rate is known immediately. 2 Likes 1 Share |

awesomeJ: ahiboilandgas: I believe rates will soon go up like AwesomeJ stated. Fgn savings bond rate is higher than the last Tbill stop rate I saw. Meaning government wants to lock up the rate for longer term before the rates increase. #JustMyThinking |
