Hello everyone, thank you for your help so far. I have gained and learnt a whole lot from this thread although i have been a silent reader. I however have a concern I am hoping anyone can help me with.

I joined a startup in march with the staff strength of just 2 staff (myself and my boss) and my duties so far have been that of a Personal/Executive assistant which is what I picked as my NOC. The issue now is that I do not have a contract of employment or list of duties being that it's a very new company and I'm the one meant to create it anyways. I am now trying to come up with a formal list of duties for an Executive Assistant (NOC 1222) and I am having trouble with it because I do not want to make it look exactly like what's on the CIC website. My duties aren't streamlined and direct as I practically not only act on behalf of the company, but also on behalf of the family when the need arises.
Is there anyone that has worked as an executive assistant and has their list of duties here? I would appreciate it if I could get this as soon as possible as my boss travels tomorrow and would not be back till the end of the month, by which time I would like to have submitted my profile as I have all other things ready.

Thank you all for your very much anticipated help.

Yep! Pretty straightforward, go online and order for it, wifey’s own was dispatched in less than 5 days and it was delivered to our doorstep by DHL.

Maybe cos I didn't do courier in my case

You can reword the one under the applicable NOC. Or you can send me a PM. We can work on it together. But try to come up with something before you send the PM. I can help with fine-tuning it. Trying to encourage you to DIY. Google is a good place to start.

Hi House,

I am newbie here, Just heard about this about few weeks ago and I have spent couple of days reading from Part 1,2,3. I have some worries and I would appreciate if experienced people can help out. I have just sent gotten WES ref NO to send my HND and BSc transcripts and I need to make some decisions before going further.

1) I was denied US visa in Feb 2017. The then so called agent put my marital status as married without telling me though I am single. I was scared so I did not declare my my US refusal in Canada Student Visa application same year so I was refused Canada student visa again on basis of i) lack of travel experience ii) Proof of fund iii) That I didn't declare my US refusal. But I was told in the letter i could reapply if my status has changed and i can respond to issues raised (Not like a ban). Can this affect my express entry application as i intend to apply state my single status which might be different from data with the US embassy

2) Left Nigeria same 2017 Aug and currently in Germany for studies that will end 2019 with legal temporary resident permit.. Can this affect my application as i did not include the ongoing studies for WES

3) I have 4years banking experience till i left last year and I can get a reference letter covering that period. Will i have to account for activities between last year and now?... Is leaving the job and being out of the country a disadvantage or red flag to the application process. I will also appreciate further enlightenment from any member that has done this application out of home.

Thanks

Hello house, I have followed this thread sometimes last year but I was already 3/4 gone with my study permit so I couldn't look into this option. Well unfortunately I was refused study permit, re-applied and was refused again. I am now considering this route though I have so many issue bothering me about forging ahead with this. After checking things out, I decided with wifey that she will be the PA.She studied Microbiology but is a fashion designer(tailor) and she will use NOC 6342 B. In my first study permit application, she applied for open work permit to accompany me to Canada and filled her occupation there as fashion designer.
My main concern now is the documents she will need to submit as a tailor cos she has her own establishment(though not registered). She trained in 2 different places as well. She served in a secondary as a biology teacher. Please help me out with what to do. God bless you all.

The following documents are mandatory for self-employed applicants: Articles of incorporation or other evidence of business ownership, evidence of self-employment income and documentation from third-party individuals indicating the service provided along with payment details (self-declared main duties or affidavits are not acceptable proof of self-employed work experience).

How will your spouse prove her work experience if her business is not registered? Calculate your projected CRS score with the one-year NYSC work experience. You can also get additional 20 points if you (the accompanying spouse) can ace your IELTS test.

No it doesn't affect anything. People abroad also experience multiple divorces. For my husband's profile, this was the situation. He has two sets of half siblings and we did not even know their dates of birth. We inputted an estimate and included in the LOE that the dates are estimates as we do not live together and don't know. Got PPR in December without issues. Truth at all times.

Okay. Thank you for your response. I'll include them. Maybe i wont put their mothers' details. i'll just put ny half siblings.

Wow I had no idea I had to include my Step Dad and his kids in my application. Hmm, wasn’t sure they qualified as “immediate family”
Adding them right away

My people, I can understand adding step siblings to the application but step parents? under which section will their details go? or will you have 2 names listed as mother /father?

I think listing the step siblings ( and indicating them as such) is enough. Anyway, to each his own smiley

Well the step siblings didn’t just drop from heaven, did they? They must have a father. LOL

There’s an option for Father and Step Father (I have both)

I would rather leave them all out actually but I saw on canadavisa forum it could be tagged as misrepresentation

You are required to list everyone be it step-parent, step/half brother or sister.

If not for anything, at least they may need to claim points from you in future.
