When your full backs are poor and clueless.,there is nothing your wingers can do. Shehu a full back that can not open up space to receive pass for crossing is that one a fullback? Bascovanveli and Goldfish80, you guys are not honest with the truth. Shehu was below par. Even Idowu though not phenomenal improved on his game. Why did you think Modric kept playing those long balls to his side. They knew Shehu was not just it. He was caught out of position so many times. Not a single cross from him. In short he was Echiejile on the right. 15 Likes |

goldfish80: you're begging the question trying to create an easy route for yourself... it's like you've no idea...how much role the lad would have played to help salvage the situation...if any of his offensive contributions would have birth goals...you don't know...but like rohr you choose think through the prism of impossibilities and fear.... you should direct your last sentence to yourself...because a broad and holistic reasoning would have prevented such words.... an Iwobi in the AM role and nancho upfront would have been more productive than the trash he served us in this match.... 1 Like |

BascoVanVeli:We are not saying that he was very poor today, he was just average. He offers nothing going forward as a right back and lacks pace, he was easily outpace on more than two occasions.especially when out of position. Ebuehi is faster, is a threat going forward and also recovers faster than shehu when out of position. 1 Like |

Mikel Obi smh!!! He was at a spot around that corner flag guess what he was doing He was guiding the ball and two croatia player was with him and unfortunately he lost the ball because he was trying to dribble, come sense should have made him hit d ball on the player body lobatan and you win a free kick at worst throw Shehu tried his best and he can't offer nothing much more than that, he made some good interceptions via leg and head. Modric noticed shehu wasn't the best for that position so keeps loading the ball down persic wing 5 Likes |

Last last I blame Buhari. The man na bad luck. Una good night. So long as Rohr continues to deploy Iwobi on the wings he will never get the best out of him Though Marcus is dead his manhood lives on: and I believe in Marcus |

Eleniyan15:don't mind them.... I hate when peeps are not being truthful... I told someone today when I was talking on Ighalo being unable to make the difference.... that I don't hate him...even from same state with Ighalo...but still the truth needs to be aired.... he is a very average striker with poor positioning...only good when we play Africa oppositions and he needs like 8 goal scoring opportunities to score a goal... 6 Likes |

AIG07: Let me ask you a question, I would like if you gave a honest reply. How good was Ndidi and Mikel in the middle, especially with their ball distribution? How good was Iwobi? These guys were responsible for Nigerias inability to launch a sustained attack worthy of breaching Croatia. Why is nobody talking about Ekong's cheap penalty give away? Was the Croatian player going to score if he left him alone? How about the 2 center backs positioning in the box when the first corner kick went in? Do you know, none of our defenders where in position to get the second ball off that corner? We don't want to mention all these but the whole blame is on Shehu of course. This is the reflection of the Nigerian society, were the perceived weak and defenseless are targeted. Sad reality of our times. 6 Likes |

From someone who once wore the shoe and knows where it pinches, Okocha ; “It was a decent first half but maturity was the edge the Croatian team had over the Nigerian team,” Okocha said on SuperSport, where he was a guest analyst, after the game. “The Super Eagles got done by the movements of the Croatian team in their box. The Super Eagles midfielders were not doing their best both in defending and in attack. “Eagles didn’t get the best out of Alex Iwobi and Victor Moses because the manager was trying to accommodate Mikel Obi in the team. “The manager didn’t earn his money today. We were not a threat in the first half and I was expecting him to play three at the back, five players in the midfield and two strikers to the team a chance to get back into the game. “It is sad because I know we can do better than this. Of course there is still hope but we have to do it the hard way now. “These (Croatians) are world class players who know how to win by exploiting little details.” Okocha also blamed Rohr for deploying Mikel in the creative role. “We didn’t have a creative player today,” the former Nigeria No.10 added. “Mikel has been a good servant to the national team. His best position is playing in front of the defence. We saw what he did playing for Chelsea where he had a glorious career. “The most creative player in that team is Alex Iwobi but he was played on the flanks. He (Iwobi) can play on the flanks at Arsenal because they had better players in that role like Mesut Ozil. “The reason why we lost was because we played our best players out of their positions. “Playing Mikel in that position didn’t help Moses and Iwobi on the flanks.” 15 Likes |

goldfish80:hahaha why is Shehu weak and defense less? See something o. On Ekong, I have pointed his error out. But he was busy trying to cover up for the same Shehu through out the game. No wonder he was stretched to the breaking point and he yielded. He even turned Moses into a full back. |

Eleniyan15: In Nigeria, everyone is the coach Had it been we played 352 and lost....people will still abuse rohr My only issue is that 433 isn't working for us....ighalo is too isolated and is cut off... I highly doubt 442 will work either...while ighalo will have a strike partner, ndidi and Mikel (or Mikel and anybody) will really be outplayed in a two man central midfield) Alas....352 was the best 1 Like |

Save for the Zambia match in Uyo, Iwobi has never, I repeat never been effective on the wings for Nigeria. I said it immediately I saw the line up that anytime I see Iwobi on the wings I become sad because I know he will not play shingbai. We are sabotaging our own players. |

[quote author=Nedville post=68555983] Compared to players from other countries....they simply don't come close.....its the truth Iwobi...a player English arsenal fans are begging unai emery to offload due to obvious lack of progress.... is our most creative player...also an england reject Moses......another England reject is dull and one directional....the Nigerian version of Antonio Valencia or Jesus navas....being Nigeria's best player....when he won't even smell the English team....who themselves are not even FAVOURITES to win the competition shows the kind of players on parade for the super eagles Ndidi is the only consistent player on the list you mentioned....and even he doesn't perform well for Nigeria I never heard of simy until the last few weeks before the end of the season... So Iwobi and Victor Moses are England's rejects. Iwobi that is played out of position in Arsenal. I really don't see the need staging you in equivocals, sentiments will cover your eyes. |

You really think Moses have no defensive responsibilities, especially tracking back to double team on Perisic, Croatias most dangerous player on the wings? Why do you think Moses started on the right instead of the left where he has featured for the Super Eagles previously? 2 Likes |
