Hello everyone! I am new on here and I don’t know whether this is the right manner of posting. I have submitted my application before I found out about this forum. I got refused May the 14th paper route based on Travel history(though I have traveled out of naija before, being to S.A), Purpose of visit, Personal assets and financial status, and I haven’t recovered from the heart break. My school resumes September the 4th, I want to order for my GCMS note. I take it I cannot meet up with September anymore, I stand to be guided if anyone feels there is still time. I have opened the ATIP online request and I don’t know how to go about it. I am talking to a family in Canada to help request for it. Can the person fill out everything on my behalf and submit afterwards..? And is the ATIP form asking for a SIN..? To all the gurus, please I need your urgent reply... Thank you. 1 Like |

Hello, Please is it possible to use a sponsor that is not related to you, if the person can get an affidavit of sponsorship? |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Newman1010: 6:16pm On Jun 17, 2018 |
vikmeek: @vikmeek, yes you can but the person will have to state why he or she wants to sponsor you. Why will a non relative want to incur so much cost in sponsoring you? How much is your total tuition and have you made any deposit? A lot of applicants have scaled through using third party sponsors but they need to write a convincing letter of sponsorship. |

Hi everyone! I don't know how to start but I will somehow. I've seen people here get admissions into Canadian Unis be it for BSc, MSc or Certification programs. Some eventually get TRVs, some denied. However, my own case has been rather worse. I've been denied admission 3 times: 2 by Uni of Saskatchewan and one by Uni of Manitoba. Just for information, I graduated with a 2,1 in Biochemistry in one of Nigerian fed Unis. Had 98 in TOEFL (even when it is not needed most the Unis). Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? |

harveygordon: Did you first contact Supervisors in those places? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by drhammed: 6:37pm On Jun 17, 2018 |
You have above average results which qualifies you for admission anywhere. I'm afraid the problem might be from your Personal Statement or SOP as they might have required. Be guided that graduate admissions is more than Grade alone, they also take into consideration of your Personal Statement, SOP, CV, research experience, etc. I may advise you write a very convincing statement next time, stating how you're suitable for the graduate studies and wait for admission approval in no time. Best wishes. harveygordon: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Linzo(m): 7:07pm On Jun 17, 2018 |
harveygordon:Do this and you will get admission. Avoid plagiarism even when you download a good convincing sop in the net use this tool prepostseo.com to rewrite it and after rewriting also use the plagiarism checker tool in it and check for plagiarism and be sure its 90% unique thereafter go submit you application and come back here to thank me. Good luck 8 Likes 2 Shares |

Just like Prudento's question, have you secured a supervisor? For a master's research or PhD program, the key to having an admission guaranteed in most institutions is having a supervisor. At the University of Manitoba and Saskatchewan, I want to believe that master's in biochemistry in both schools is research-based, in which you spend the first year on coursework (about 4 courses) and the second year on your research work. Meaning you need a research supervisor before you can be considered for admission. Even if you write the best statement of interest in the application submitted, your file will not be processed until you have a supervisor's support. If you look through University of Manitoba website, you are been advised strongly to secure a supervisor before submitting your application so as not to waste your application fee. Like Drhammed and Linzo have highlighted, write a good research proposal and statement of interest channelled to your supervisor of interest research area, and he might be willing to have you join his research group. Once you have such approval, you can be sure of a guaranteed admission. All the best. harveygordon: 2 Likes |

olugere:1. Your wife don't need police clearance. And if cic needs it they will later request for it (so many main applicants have gotten trv without police report). 2. From what I heard it's like the family info form has been pushed aside, so you don't need to include your siblings. Most people use siblings and parents for the purpose of home tie. 3. Not compulsory as well, but if it will make your mind be at rest you can include her parents birth certs 1 Like |

olugere:1. You don't need separate envelopes, in fact VFS staff won't collect any envelope from you. Once the person attending to you collects your app, he/she will arrange them accordingly and put everything in a file (VFS jacket), then direct you to the next counter where you will pay app fee and later submit and biometric. 2. Once you validate your form, just print it. Nothing more. 3. You can use as many third party sponsor but make sure they show commitment by paying the said amount to your account and state in their respective letter of support why they are sponsoring you. Though I think using 2 sponsors should be enough(My opinion). NB: I want to believe you have been working before now and since you are married with children the vo will require you show your own fund (apart from your soonsors)......just try and show you save some money on your own towards your studies. Using too many soonsors at this stage(without you showing you have personal savings towards your own studies might make the vo feel you aren't responsible enough). I will advise you use just 2 sponsors while your other friends send their own part into your account and you explain in your SOP that you borrowed them some money in the past and they just paid you back. 1 Like |

sanjay01:sanjay01, 1-) In your previous refused application did you include documents to evident your current employment situation like: Employment letters, introductory letters from employer, work ID, pay stubs etc..? It's better you return to Nigeria and reapply for your study permit. You were denied based on current employment situation, because the Visa officer believes by now you should be gainfully employed and have something meaningful doing for a living. How did you prove your employment with your hubby's company?? Is your hubby's company in Nigeria or Malaysia? Furthermore, I found out that your current job role is not reasonable inlight with your proposed program in Agriculture. Working as an assistant financial officer in a company doesn't show a logical progression with your intended program in Canada (Agriculture). These are one of the things that attributed to your refusal, there are no trace of career progression. If you check closely from your refusal letter you will notice that you were also refused based on course correlation not showing progression. 2-) Your SOP should help provide clarity on your personal assets and financial status, how does your husband properties link to you?, you're expected to explain further on this. Additionally, Do you have any property/assests in your name? e.g..... landed properties, business assets, investments, shares certificates etc... Considering your hubby owns a company, are you among his share holders (board of directors) in his company?, How did you present this in your SOP matters alot and goes a long way in addressing in justifying your claims. I hope to get some answers from you, before I proceed further. |

holubukola:holubukola, Yes it's very possible and achievable! As a matter of fact going for a PhD in Canada after the successful completion of a Master's degree in UK shows an academic progression for you. Endeavor to make sure that there are strong correlation between your previous studies and your intended program. Also, it might interest you to know that most Phd offers in Canada comes with funding, so you stand a chance of getting a full funding from so many prestigious Universities in Canada. In conclusion, going with hubby and 2 kids, you need to show 4KCAD for adult dependant and 3KCAD for each children dependants whom are accompanying you to Canada. All the best! |

vikmeek: On this reputable thread, we have seen so many cases of agents using fraudulent bank statements for an applicant study visa application. Giving the applicant safe guarantees that the Canadian high commission will not get hold on of the cooked/faked bank statement. Which at the end when caught in such act, the applicant will be found inadmissible to Canada and will be issued a 5 year ban as the case maybe. Leaving the poor applicant with a broken heart. Therefore, I won't advise you to make use of any agent, most especially when it comes in the aspect of providing bank statements for you. There are so many agents out there that are seeking for whom to devour and bury their TRV approval. I best suggest you should look around for someone that is buoyant, financially stable that will represent as your sponsor, while you pay up your bills yourself, most importantly paying an upfront tuition as a means of showing commitment from your sponsor. All the best! 1 Like 1 Share |
