I don’t have much time for long posts. I need to attend to my infant. It’s all about timing my friend. Should Senegal go the farthest they would have the bragging rights for now. TheSuperNerd: |

Russia 2018 WC Updates As we all know, Suarez's goal puts Uruguay in the lead against Saudi Arabia. Here is a Little stat on his milestone goal.... From Squawka football: Luis Suárez has scored more goals for #URU than any other player in the nation's history. 52nd goal on his 100th cap. 1 Like

"For now" is short term. England had the bragging rights in 1966 after all, until 1970 even. Where are they now? We are talking sustained reputation not short term reputation. I would rather we keep our eyes on both prizes. Doing well at home (on the African continent) and using that as an extra boost to push on against the world's best (on the world stage) rubbing shoulders with them and even "besting" them. This is majorly how the best is measured. In both worlds. My hi to your little baby... Hope you enjoying Fatherhood Joebie: 1 Like 2 Shares |

Mujtahida:Nope! Egypt would be out if Uruguay beats Saudi Arabia. If Saudi Arabia wins Egypt are still in. So officially the only country that have crashed out are still Morocco. Losing your first two games does not always mean you have crashed out. Sometimes 3points can be enough. |

princfred: As if we didn't play WC qualifiers before the friendlies. Rohr played those 4 players you listed in their natural positions they have been playing for the Super Eagles even during friendlies. Nothing like they being played our of positions. |

That is very easy. And the simple point is a decent WC performance is not enough to crown the best in Africa. That team needs a good balance of success (represented in titles especially) on the continent and decent/fine showing at the mundial to earn the tag of being truly the best in Africa. Finito. And yes... I asked because I understand that Parenthood is no easy job at all. It is not even a job... It is more than a job and a responsibility one must undertake carefully because parents play a good/huge part in helping to shape the next generation. So happy fatherhood. Joebie: 1 Like 1 Share |

Mujtahida: Meaning "just put Iwobi at the center" you don't care who plays from the wings. Nobody is saying Iwobi is better at the wings than at the center but what do you make of Iwobi as Mikel is favorite to start from the AM position? |

TheSuperNerd: You get it. We lost our first 2 games in 2010 but just needed to beat Korea, in our last game to go through. Egypt will crash out today if Uruguay wins. But if Saudi wins Egypt are still alive 1 Like |

Icon4s:Those same players will win many Africa teams even with their wrong positioning. Thats not the standard. When they played Europeans and lost so much it was enogh indication that that positioning is nit the best for the players. Sincerely if, even now with the results so far from friendly to the last game, you still don't know Mikel, Iwobi, Etebo and Moses where not playing in their best of positions then i cant dignify your responses with any more replies. Maybe Supernerd or anyone with more free time to waste can help your case. |

Actually it was. You are one trying to give it a different color. The point from the beginning on my end was you need both worlds. WC performance is never enough. And glad fatherhood is a Joy. Keep at it. Joebie: Your first words below: Joebie: This was my reply: The "most fortunate" actually. Ghana were "the best" at WC 2010 but have never conquered Africa with that Squad. The best in Africa are those who win the Afcon and can also try translate it on the world stage. It is unfortunate Cameroon were in our group in WC Qualifying. See? It was always my stance throughout the discussion. 1 Like 1 Share |

Icon4s:habaaaaaaa, sir. so you still want mikel to play AM? has this thing not sunk in that Mikel has neither the lungs nor the legs to be our AM? lawd. we have a winger in musa, etebo can also play there. please let iwobi play where he most fits. he is the nearest we have to a creative outlet in the team. mikel can pair etebo, or ndidi or ogu as a deep lyinng playmaker. mikel is a good no 6 but bad no 10- Mourinho 4 Likes |

Mujtahida: As if it is not the same Mikel that played AM during the qualifiers. Note again that Iwobi is not being played as a winger but as a Left or Right Attacking Midfielder. So if Rohr chooses to start Mikel as the Central AM where would you rather Iwobi plays? |

Samm Audu has been banned from the training sessions for leaking the first 11 against Croatia. I always felt that he was giving too much info. Our news outlets are competing with each other to release team list first even to the detriment of the team. If your opponent know your line-up 2-3 days before the match, they can prepare for you. A foreign journalist, Annette Braun is now covering the Nigerian team training for FIFA. CC:thesupernerd 4 Likes |
