Livescores.com lineups are estimated, not confirmed.

Against Croatia the line up was posted 2days before the game and people tried to believe it is not real until match day.

I agree with you though. But that is the most probably line up.

Johann Gudmunsson is injured and ruled out. But yes, we all know this is the normal livescores projection. False.

I hope you know I am only analysing Oliseh based on the games he had as coach with the Main Super Eagles squad and not even the CHAN Eagles. If I add the 8 games with the CHAN Eagles, you will see that we scored a few more than four from set pieces.

In Five games with the main Super Eagles, Oliseh's team recorded Four Set piece goals and you want me to think he didn't improve just a bit a thing or two in the team? Nope. Not buying it. I didn't like Oliseh's reign because it was full of controversies and bad atmosphere but he did manage to do something right to a little extent as regards set pieces. His team stats show this. So yes, he did improve us even just a bit on set pieces. We were more dangerous under Oliseh from set-pieces than under Rohr and I hope going forward, Rohr and his crew can truly change that and make us a far more lethal and well rounded force.

I ask again what was the nature of the opposition he faced?

I ask again... How long did he stay? And didn't Rohr face African oppositions too? How come then we didn't do so good against them from set-pieces? Give it to Oliseh abeg. Even if just a little credit. He talked about this in interviews and he did it. It is not coincidence.

Everybody knew the NGACRO lineup because it was evidently leaked.

Can you compare the strength of African opposition Oliseh faced with those that Rohr faced?

Strength or not... Oliseh set up his team to be good and purposeful at Set-pieces. It is no coincidence that Efe Ambrose was at the end of two of those four set piece goals. It is a team set-up.
By the way, Both of them played Cameroon. It is not about strength but about team set-up. Even against Tanzania under Rohr, we needed an individual brilliance from Nacho despite all the corners we got that day.

The official team of the week. Since I haven't seen anyone post it

TheLoneCitizen:

I would accept no lineup without Etebo.

More reasons why I want Etebo to start, the dude played like he was trying to impress scouts. He didn't play like someone who has been signed into a well covered league.

Stoke City fans who were watching him for the first time, were so impressed, they labeled him their Kante.

As well as being the only African player on that team, he is the only player stemming from a losing team.

Strength of opposition is a key factor in the analysis son. That is what even FIFA uses to rank teams.

Strength of opposition is key here that is why I say not enough premise to make your conclusion.

BTW the Cameroon Oliseh faced in that Friendly was not as toughened as the Cameroon that just won the AFCON and participated in the confederations cup. Rohr faced Cameroon in a make or burst game. You cannot compare the nature of opposition in both games even though it was same country.

Would you rather have him start in the same position or at the wings?

The bottomline is that Rohr faced African oppositions and doesn't have the kind of set piece stats Oliseh recorded in his verrryyy short reign. Four set piece goals in Five games with the Main Super Eagles side for Oliseh trumps Rohr's poor set piece utilisation return. If I add the CHAN, we would be talking more than four goals from set-pieces.

Rohr needs to sit up and work on our being dangerous from set pieces. A team is set up to be purposeful at set pieces no matter the opposition. That is the truth. Rohr needs to do more on that and then others.

I wouldn't place any bet on a team my heart and emotions are tied to, why would i do that? grin
Well i don't know what some of you call love for your country and footballing team, some of us love with our hearts.

Football will end for Nigeria after all the emotions, efforts, sleepless nights put into preparing for a once in 4 years competition just to crash out with no point. if this doesn't affect you, then it says alot about your commitment to this team. Then i dare ask, why have you been on this thread for years now if crashing out with no point is no biggie to you?

Why do people cry in the stands when their country lose matches? Seems you haven't experienced genuine love for a cause.

How long did Oliseh stay on the job? Didn't he resign?

He did it against Cameroon. Against Swaziland and against another African opposition whose name I would recall in time but not now... All in his short controversial reign.

But with Rohr, we simply have not seen same improvement even against African sides. I am not even talking Europeans.

Post the highlights please.

Trust me, I have cried in times past both openly and secretly.

I have just developed a thick skin. I support with all my heart but I make sure that heart is not broken so I can easily move on if I am disappointed.

Like I am tipping the team to win tomorrow of which I am the only person in my work place that is being positive about the tomorrow's game. But if we lose that doesn't mean I wouldn't show my face or discuss the game with them. In fact I will immediately switch to my expectations for the 2019 AFCON qualifiers.

That is me.

How do I make sure my heart is not broken? I ask myself those 4 questions I asked you. And since they are all "No" so why should my heart be broken?

If you notice Nigeria's style of play, it suits midfielders but not fullbacks.

In this model, VIERA is Etebo, but he would shift forward to be on a straight line with ZIDANE and FIGO, who will be Musa and Moses. TOTTI and OKOCHA are Mikel and Ndidi, but they will shift back a little into their half to support the defence.

RONALDO is Iwobi but he will shift back a little to work as SS or AM. Ighalo is HENRY.

I can now see it is a 3-4-3. or 3-4-2-1

But we still need Ndidi in this game.

moses and iwobi play behind Ighalo. If we can win the mid field battle we will definitely win the match. That Everton guy must not be allowed no breathing space in the mid field
