In reference to the recent case of Mr William Lincoff and Brightdocare on this page, I advise that we all stay away from this guy!!
There's also the fact that before now, his posts are wherever there's some form of wealth maximization, discussions and recreation......

Now, we already have some old guys in the house with Goodwill and prestige on these tests so why would anyone try something new at this critical time when there is limited fund to go round.

By the way, whatever happened to our GRE for MBA!!

GMAT is the most preferred test for MBA (forget the story those schools tell you that they have no preference). GMAT has always been the gold standard for MBA employers and MBA schools. I don't know if the trend will change but na so e be now.

The problem with GMAT is that it is more difficult (especially in Quant) and can only be used for business schools. So people with lesser Quant ability and those still eyeing graduate schools find GRE to be safer. However, a lot of elite MBA employers prefer GMAT scores for their MBA hires.

My own point is, it is unwise to buy the 2019 OG when you can get the 2018, 2017 and 2016 OGs for free from people who have previously bought them. The difference between OG 2019 and OG 2018 may be just a few new questions since almost all questions are repeated. When I used OG 2017, I found out that almost all questions on OG 2016 are repeated.

So instead of someone paying for this offer one can just get any of the older OGs for free from past users and then invest that money for official tests and GMATclub subscription.

Bro if all you have paid and processed is to get the admission from the school, see if you can take it from there. Apply for your visa yourself, its absolutely easy.

You just have to keep checking constantly. The embassy drops July dates once in a while. Also someone with a July date might drop theirs and you could log in at the right time to pick it. It's best to check around 12 midnight. Goodluck

Hello everyone. I'm a silent reader and I need help in terms of selecting school based on ranking.

Two schools offered me admission for MBA in USA. Ball state University in Indiana and University of Wisconsin.


Ball state University is ranked 99 in top public schools and 151 in business program.


University of Wisconsin is ranked 20 in top public schools and 381 in business program.


Please help, I am confused. Which ranking should matter to me, top public schools? Or businesses program?

I replied your post earlier but I wanted to give a more elaborate response. However I couldn't do that earlier cos my battery was dead low and I wanted to put out a quick response. Now, let's look at both schools in detail.

First, I don't understand the ranking you mentioned. However, for US business schools, it's best you use US News rankings cos it's the most recognized by US employers and students.

So, based on US News MBA rankings, Ball State University (Miller B School) is unranked.

For University of Wisconsin, you didn't specify whether it's Madison or Milwaukee. UW Madison is ranked 37th in the US while UW Madison is unranked

The general convention for MBA international students in the US is for them to choose the school with the highest financial aid offer or the one with the best location if their choices are between schools ranked outside of top 40 by US News (but I'll suggest top 25 based on recent experiences I've heard). There are no special career experiences you will gain between both schools. The academic experiences and career experiences are similar.

If your choice is between a top 25 and another outside the top 25, the game changes and you have to look at several factors like your career goals, recruiting companies on campus etc before making a decision.

If your choice is between a top 5 (with partial or no aid) and one outside the top 25 (,even with full aid), it's always advisable to chose the top 5 school especially if you're targeting a career in finance or consulting.


So to cut the long story short, I'll advise you to choose the school with the best financial aid on ground since both schools are ranked outside of top 25.

I could remember something similar like this happened last year and the lady called me and was panic thinking it is a scam if i am not wrong and i told her to calm down and i should contact the benevolent guy and ask him what is the issue, the guy explained to me that he personally cancelled some payment transactions on his card because something that was deep and bitter happened to him which i am aware and that he will get it done, I spoke to the lady but yet she didn't believe and trust the benevolent for her own reason not until third parties have to contact me and i explained to them until she could calm down at room temperature.

The funniest thing was that i feel she wanted to pressurize me so that i can mount pressure on the benevolent guy and she even called the guy all sort of names that are horrible which i never expected from someone who wanted discounted few weeks ago but now she is on fire displaying her internal zoo and she doesn't care and i said to her that you can't be insulting this benevolent guy indirectly in my presence and you want me to be happy and table this matter with the guy. This benevolent guy told me that he will get it done, i told the lady yet its very hard for her to believe even when she asked about her score report how would she pay for it and this benevolent guy told me that he will take responsibility for sending score report for her since free option is closed and the fault is from him. It got to a point that i was angry and i told her that if this benevolent guy decided not to pay back there is nothing me and her can do but please exercise patience and if the benevolent guy didn't pay, i will make the payment from my pocket and please stop disturbing with me with calls every 2/3 hours in a day not until she reduced it to weekly or once in 2/3 weeks.

Infact it turns to dramatic war between us and i just have to overlook some words coming out from her mouth, heart, mind and it seems she was after her application deadline which i can tagged as selfish interest but doesn't care about other side for once, I told her that i will contact her myself to update her with news because she calling me asking how far or maybe she call and i didn't pick due to my busy schedule and i don't want it to look somehow and i was happy the day that she told me that someone came to her aid so that she can meet her application deadline and assisted her to pay for score report. I told her that she will get refund back and the person asked me to give his cash to her.

I admits that delay of refunds from the benevolent guy was late and wrong, I can't blame him due to personal stuffs, also i could be wrong from my side because i could have pay her personally but her impatience and insults drew me back that until the benevolent guy order me to pay her is when she will get her refund but that doesn't me she also should be wrong like us because two wrongs can't make a right, I am yet to hear from her if she get alert of her refunds because next week will make it 2 months i personally paid her after her normal attitude whenever she called, it was few days ago the benevolent guy asked me to credit her after i could talk to him.

No way...... she has to put herself first and her application deadline. Anybody that decides to do this freebie kudos to the person kind heart but to cancel transaction later due to one or two stuff that madness.

Here we do application of school and visa by ourselves and warn against agents . .... so if you are using an agent then yeah be prepared for even the worse outcome .

America hard at the moment so if you don't have money to actually attend school then best to stay in Nigeria. When you tell people the truth or what they don't want to hear you be termed harsh.

If you are really ready to be a student then go from page 1 and read and learn more on how to apply for admission yourself and forget about using an agent

Jesus Christ of Nazareth!!!!! $600 just to process one unknown school? Ignorance is not an excuse. I don't even know what to say to you. This is sad! If you know what is good for you, dont pay any stupid balance of 500k. Hope you know Visa is not automatic, you will still have to appear for visa interview and bearing in mind that the whole process was done for you, only God knows what the outcome will be but it is not looking good to me.

I didn't even expect to hear of this again, no matter how you spin this, the lady in question is not wrong. Every normal person that worked for his or her money will react the way she reacted. Our country is synonymous to scam and people are very sensitive when it comes to money matters. Just let it go

It's practically impossible for somebody to offer unlimited 50% discount to anybody who is willing to write the exam without question being asked who is paying the other 50% and how.
