Ofuzo: Poverty comes when everybody is having five to seven children while production is pathetic. Nigeria is over the hill. The oil revenue is not enough for anything. We either produce or perish in poverty. Look at the Nigerian budget it's on the level of the likes of Liberia and Sierra Leone in per capita terms. Less than 200 dollars per person. Meanwhile South Africa has a budget of over 1,600 per person. What government can provide quality education, infrastructure with those peanuts? Add the budgets of all south East states and it's a little less than 2 billion dollars for a population of 25 million or more. Per capita terms less than 200 dollars. Guess what Ghana with a similar size population has as its budget? Over 14 billion dollars. The average SE state government has less than 150 billion naira to work with. If you have an average of 1 million children in primary and secondary schools for free education you will have to spend at least 30 billion. If you have a university you will spend 10 billion. If you have hospitals you will have to spend at least 15 billion. Thats at least 30-40% of your budget gone then you have roads, water supply, security, etc. It's tough especially when domestic resources are too little which is why Peter Obi was the smartest of the SE governors by partnering with international donor agencies for health and education to offset the costs. Obiano got it right by his investment and think home mantra. You need to boost production for jobs and tax revenue and to do that attracting the capital of the igbo diaspora as a first stage is critical. But aside the low hanging fruit like rice production, the Obiano administration has to do the hard work of creating the enabling environment for industry and services through dedicated power to layouts to roads to organized cities to security. The Anambra strategy will take time but with commitment it will succeed. It's the only way out for the second most densely populated state in poverty stricken Nigeria. The Imo strategy is marketing without substance. Rochas has substandard schools, roads, and non existent economic policies. Imo has shell gas lines yet no industrial policy but a focus on making Owerri oringo capital of Nigeria. Imo has or used to produce a lot of Palm oil. What happened? Ohakim was planting grass, flowers and trees in Owerri. About Enugu, you have the same silliness. Enugu produces cashew, honey, pineapple, palm oil, poultry of the highest quality yet Sullivan Chimes neglected that to focus on fixing Enugu city where less than 15% of the state population lives. As for Abia sitting next to Port Harcourt it could have been another Ogun prospering from proximity to a rich city. Aba had one of Nigerias earliest industrial zones powered by Shell pipelines. It dominated trade in shoes and garments but the kalus wrecked that place. Aba is a dystopian horror of a city. It will take more than a decade to clean that place up but if it could happen in Onitsha then anything is possible. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Every space you have got is always how to show how deeply hurt and inferior you feel about Anambra and its governor. Now lemme face you on this because it appears I am the only one that says it the way it is. Now take this to the HSBC, Obiano is the best governor in the SE. The records and substances are there. Yes Obiano has signed MOU and equally followed it up. Today Anambra has the biggest and best commercial poultry farms if not in the whole of Nigeria. Obiano has completed Agulu lake resort now Golden Tulip, Obiano has completed Onitsha mall. I will show the pictures later. Obiano did all these without borrowing a dime. Obiano has transformed Awka into a first rate city in the SE and today it is the fastest developing city in the SE. Obiano has done so many roads across the state. Obiano has done so many bridges across the state. All these are signature projects. You have continued to show your hate and complex against Anambra but I will not stop from putting you to your place. Now tell us what Okorocha has done? Okorocha despite haven borrowed over 200b has not done any reasonable project in his wasted 7yrs. Look at his substandard roads are being washed away in just months of completion. I will show pictures in my next post. Today Owerri is a total mess because of Okorocha's. Ohakim was a far better gov than this fat farting pig called Okorocha. What Obiano has achieved in just 2yrs has surpassed everything Okorocha did in his wasted 8yrs. #FACT. Today Imo state indigenes are running to live and work in Anambra where there is opportunity. Today Imo state has zero economic opportunity. Today Imo state is poor, broke and plundered and pillaged in the most horrible manner. Today Imo state is among the top 3 most indebted states in Nigeria. I will show the NBS chart later. Tell me one project Okorocha has done. All the schools he did have all collapsed because they were all substandard. Tell us on thing he has done. Today, Nnewi is at the same level or more with Owerri. Today, Nnewi has more commercial banks than Owerri, Today Nnewi has a stronger economy than Owerri. Today Imo state economic main-stay is commercial sex hawking and brothels. Who cursed Imo state and why? We must continue in the next quote. Below is the new face of Owerri, this road was just completed and commissioned early this year. Who cursed Imo state and why? @ofuzo. Like as I said in my earlier post. Here is Onitsha mall. It was inherited by Obiano and he completed it. But you lied that he never completed any project he inherited. Onitsha mall is far bigger and more beautiful than Owerri mall. 5 Likes

@ofuzo. Here is the inherited and completed Golden Tulip(Agulu lake resort) by the Obiano administration. It is set to start operation any moment from now. But you lied he never completed any project he inherited. This 5star hotel beats all the hotels in the whole of Imo state. #FACT 6 Likes

Below is the only flyover in the history of Imo state but the flyover leads to nowhere. The said flyover is already cracking and collapsing and has never been used by any motorist. This represent the only signature project of Okorocha. 4 Likes

These are signature projects of Obiano. Longest bridge ever done by any governor across a river in Nigeria- it was done by Obiano. He has done 3 already and more are still under construction. Just one of these bridges have surpassed everything Okorocha has done in his wasted 8yrs. 6 Likes

@ ofuzo and beijinDossier, Please sheath your swords, comparing Igbo states is not good for our progress. Anambra and Imo, and all other places where Igbos live are one and the same home of ours. We should compare policies and discuss, not compare our states. Thanks for understanding. 7 Likes |

@ofuzo, watch this and see what Obiano through ANSIPPA has done in bringing investments and investors to Anambra State. Show us one investment Okorocha has attracted in his wasted 8yrs in office, none rather Imolites are running in their thousands to secure a place in Anambra as their greener pasture and obodo oyibo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eMFwnIJ43s&t=5s 3 Likes |

Why would this jobless old man called ofuzo always start what he cannot substantiate with facts and figures? All he does all the time is always trying so hard to enviously insult Obiano and Anambra even when his Imo state is a total mess and worthless. Why can't he always focus on his dead wood state called Imo and leave us out of his frustration and misery. spyder880: 2 Likes |
Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Nobody: 8:29am On Jun 26, 2018 |
spyder880: Exactly and there are no saints. Obiano has a lot to do in cities which are more lawless than places like Owerri. Rochas did one good thing in demolishing the market in central owerri to expand its roads something Anambra needs to do. In Anambra street traders, lawless markets define it's urban core creating filth and breeding crime like cockroaches in a sewer. All around there needs to be healthy competition and cooperation. Imo has a gas processing plant, anambra should be tapping into it. Enugu is less than an hour from Awka which is less than an hour from Onitsha which is less than an hour from Owerri which is an hour from Aba. There needs to be a prioritization of connecting infrastructure from road to rail to power to public transport. These cities are supposed to be flagship cities of modernity and progress raising standard of living of people. 8 Likes |

BeijinDossier: Owerri looks like someone dropped some bombs on that city. Rochas took the city back to 17th Century. Shoddy construction works. From Orji to Wethedral road to Ama Hausa area to new Owerri, the city is the real definition of shithole. It is very disgusting indeed. It will take at least 20 years to rebuild Owerri from the shambles that Rochas reduced it to. / 1 Like |
