Worried by the wicked and cruel killings of innocent people in Plateau state over the weekend, IGP Ibrahim  K.Idris and the Minister of Interior, Gen.Abdulrahman Dambazau, arrived in Jos today for commiseration and on the spot assessment of the situation.

Ahead of today's visit, the IGP had yesterday transfered the commissioner of Police in charge of the state and  deployed Special Intervention Forces led by Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of operations to restore peace in the troubled areas of Barikin-Ladi, Riyom, Jos South local governments,where scores of people were killed. The special forces are backed up with two helicopters, five Amoured Personnel Carriers (APCs), three Police Mobile Force Units (PMF), two Counter Terrorism units (CTU ) and Police Intelligence Unit.

Medicine after death. What are they going to achieve now? It is in this country we have defense minister, IGP and Herdsmen are killing people without a single arrest and prosecution. It's a shame. That Dambazzau should be in shame. A retired General without any scope and contribution. All Generals in Buhari's government should be ashamed of themselves, including the military dictator that called himself a civilian President.

I was their live with Dambazzau . When his convoy arrived , angry villagers wanted to pelt him with stones and faeces. Thanks to the intervention of his aides, they were able to repel the assault. As far as we have politicians who unconditionally support a candidate we would also have security chiefs cum politicians who unconditionally support their tribe even when they are supposed to be referees and unbiased.
