Good morning all. My c240 4matic won't start. My bro drove it to get fuel and after filling, the car has refused to start. It will crank for a while, and return. This is the third week now. The following has been worked on:
1. ECM (brain box) has been changed.
2. Crankshaft sensor has been changed.
3. The fuel pump is working.

The electrician is talking changing the flywheel. But that will require removing the gear box, and I'm being very steptical about that.

Can someone help with an advise, or direct me to someone who can. I'm in Owerri.

But from my perspective the are cheaper and easier to maintain.
7g tranny never breaks as long as you give it at least annual oil change with the recommended oil to keep its solenoid, valve body and conductor plates fresh.
And if it breaks in rare cases ..the cost for toks is 60 to80k for a first grade.
This is not the 4matic and changing it would take less than 2 man hours in the right work shop..
This was recently changed in the w204 i intend to acquire and it works perfectly after gear reset.
No slipping gear or kicks unlike the 5g tronic.

I am currently reviewing 9g tronic..

I need help good people of nairaland. I want to switch from Honda(Acura rsx specifically) to another Acura (Tsx). However, along the line a car dealer introduced me to this 2006 mercedes c280.
I have the following questions for anyone who has used that very model before.
1. I was told it uses the same engine has C300 2007 4 matic. Does it mean it's also 4 matic cos I didn't see the 4 matic logo at the back.
2. What should I watch out for in the engine. I have a scanner already and I am sure that if it has a check engine light, I will not even buy it. But I there could be more to the engine than the CEL.
3. One of the front tires has a bubble but the seller says I can use it for years with it. Should I take his word?
4. How does the transmission behave if it's in top shape and what should I look out for if there is a hidden fault....
5. Finally, how is the fuel economy generally.
