Humility017:Musa was already filling for that. Sure we should've tried out a 4-5-1 instead then but with that 3-5-2, Ighalo attributes made sense. Ighalo flopped. Messed us up. |

AIG07:Didn't need to calm things down. Needed to keep pressing them. We needed a disruptor to buzz around as Etebo was getting tired |

Ighalo should get the Yakubu Aiyegbeni and Kaita treatment. He should never be invited to the national team ever again, for any reason. 3 Likes |

ChrisKels: Nonsense if we had held on Ighalo would have been been commended for his effort and his one big miss which really should have been a penalty would have been swept under the rug. Such is life but like I said before we win and lose as a team. |

I closed late from my place of work. I rushed to the nearest viewing center to watch the match. Left the viewing hall to catch up with Taxi going towards my residence, after the match had ended. I arrived home to discover that I DID NOT UNPLUG MY PHONE. I will keep you guys posted. Goodnight. |

forgiveness: I now believe there might have been an issue with Onazi because it is just shocking that the guy didn't log a single minute. I think his national team career under Rohr is over. 1 Like |

edi287:Exactly. Pavon changed the game for Argentina. Rohr has himself to blame for not reacting to that substitution. I expected a solid defensive bloc in the last 10 mins of the game. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by ChrisKels: 11:26pm On Jun 26, 2018 |
BascoVanVeli: Tell that to those who supported his inclusion to this world cup party not to Chriskels who never wanted him anywhere around the national team. I knew Ighalo long before now. Dude is a striker that gets only one goal out of twenty clear cut chances. No serious team would go with a striker as useless to a tourney as big as the world cup. Bro u miss road 1 Like |

BascoVanVeli: Why should issues among players make Rohr to drop Onazi? If that is the case, I think Rohr should just leave because he allowed the issue to spoil show for us. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by BascoVanVeli(m): 11:29pm On Jun 26, 2018 |
AIG07: Yo but we had this argument here about the goal the guy from Croatia scored(can't remember who it was with). But my take was that Ighalo would have brought the ball down and shot. The same exact scenario plays out and homes completely falls my hands. I tell you that miss weak me die. |

goldfish80: It was obvious Idowu had two players on him and there was a lot of space in his area. Argentina saw it and used that side to punish us. He should have brought in Joel Obi to cover those areas but the coach just spoil market. I am not happy at all. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by goldfish80(m): 11:30pm On Jun 26, 2018 |
I am not one who likes complaining about referees but I think the ref got the penalty call wrong. They say football is a game of who makes the less mistakes. Rojo had no reason to head the ball to his own arm. 100% mistake on Rojo's part, he had all the time in the world to adjust his body towards the ball and hit it properly but he didn't and to think that he should be red carded in the first half for high boot on Iheanacho... This same guy went on and scored the winner. Okay just an example. Goalkeeper wants to hand the ball in his own box but he doesn’t judge it properly so touches it with his hands outside the box. It’s a sure yellow and a possible red card. How is a defender playing with his hand in the box, entirely up to him and no one else, if he does so or not, allowed to be clumsy and judge the ball wrong or be clumsy and just bad at football by directing it to his own hand, and get away with it? 5 Likes |

edi287: The substitution after the break was a waste. The ones after we conceded was way too late. Too much conservative or scared coach. Like play no African team (and may be no Asian team) may make R16 |

forgiveness: Rohr is known for building his sand castle and stepping on it. I don't know if it was player issues but Rohr lost his ways. It was clear to see when he didn't take Mikel out and put a Joel Obi or Onazi to steel up the midfield. Rohr that I know takes Mikel off around 70 minutes but every thing changed at the world cup. 1 Like |

forgiveness: He should have subbed Musa for Ebuehi since Musa spent alot of energy attacking the Argentine full back. He was totally gassed out so couldn't help Idowu in the final 10 mins. Rohr wasn't smart at all. Maybe the occasion got to him. 3 Likes |

ChrisKels: He didn't need 20 chances at Watford and quite frankly Ighalo has probably not had 20 chances for the super eagles. The world cup is over so you are free to name who you got in mind. Mine are Taiwo Awoniyi and Isaac Success. 1 Like |

Rohr stay to do what? What did we play at Russia that Onigbinde didn't play. Keshis team was much better than this. Rohr was spoilt for choice and he did not manage well. This team is weak albeit young. Rohr is not the messiah. Sack Rohr now 5 Likes |

goldfish80: I also thought about removing Ahmed but after I saw Ighalo missed, I changed mind. Anyhow anyhow, he should brought someone in to help Idowu. On the other hand, Idowu really tried to win balls and give passes that led to counter attacks. |
