Moses Odubajo joined up with Celtic in Austria on Wednesday night - with the Hull City full-back set for talks with Brendan Rodgers about a possible move to Glasgow.

On the day Stuart Armstrong completed his £7million move to Southampton, 24-year-old Odubajo arrived at the club's pre-season training camp with a view to becoming the Irishman's second permanent signing of the transfer window.

A former England Under-20 cap, the Londoner has endured a difficult time through injury over the past two years but hopes to revive his career once his deal with the Championship club expires this weekend.

He started out at Leyton Orient before joining Brentford in 2014 then made a £3.5m move to Hull 12 months later.

He was the first-choice right-back as his new club were promoted to the Premier League via the play-offs in his first season but a serious knee injury sustained soon after put him out of the game.

Despite failing to feature for Hull for fully two seasons, Rodgers believes he could potentially offer competition and cover for Mikael Lustig with discussions now ongoing.

I have slept over the rush of emotions yesterday and I feel much better today to talk about this team. I think they fought gallantly. The plot was lost after our first game against Croatia. I think this team should not be disbanded except for the normal change of aged players or those who really have no business being in the team. Players like Ighalo, Echiejile, Joel, Akpeyi, and sad to say our captain Mikel might have come to the end of d road for their international career. But I pray and hope Mikel stays and lead us to Afcon 2019 and probably the next worldcup in Qatar(Yes, I have seen players do it at 40. why can't Mikel at 35?)albeit as a bit part player with experience. But it seems 2019 afcon will be his swansong if not now. The team is youthful and would blossom more together if kept. I think Rohr should not be sacked. He can lead us to afcon 2019 glory. Ekong can be a potential captain in case Mikel decides to hang his boots now(I hope not). With injection of new youngsters to compliment the ones already on ground, we would come back stronger. Our best positive from this worldcup is the experience gained by the youngsters, Uzoho, Ekong, Etebo,Ndidi,Kelechi and Ebuehi whom we finally capped. If u add Nwakali, Olaoluwa Aina, Dessers, Lookman Ademola(I have a feeling he will opt out for Nigeria), Tosin kehinde, Maduka Okoye, Tammy Abraham(probably to replace Ighalo), Philip biling of Huddersfield, etc, we will take the world by storm come 2022.
On a personal note, I will like to thank those who kept this thread going from d onset. You are all too numerous to mention and I would feel partial if I leave out any name cos I can't mention all. So it is better not to mention at all. But u know yourselves. You guys rock. We have always been like one big family and I hope we all survive the hassles of the world to be alive and come back to cheer our team to greater heights come 2022 and afcon 2019.
Will be a bit part analyst from now till November wen afcon qualifiers resumes, but it will be highly unjust of me to just take a break without apologising to those I have annoyed with my choice of words unknowingly and knowingly. safarigirl our queen mother here is one person I wanna apologise to for our fracas some months back. I believe she knows our exchange of words was due to d heat of the moment. Football can bring tension and emotions sometimes especially when it is for your beloved country. Am sorry dear. We will come back to do more in November (winks).

Nigerians will never go anywhere with our blame game mentality. I am pissed off but the fact is that the guys did their best. Ighalo missed chances but what striker doesn't? We should win as a team and lose like one too. If you feel that is yarning dust then too bad because that is the truth. We leave the fact that we were denied 2 penalties, one that could have sealed the match but destroy our own. As the goalkeeper of the team I would like to apologize to all Nigerians for our exit. See we tried our best but our best wasn't good enough. All is not lost though, we have a team bubbling wit youth and experience who will make you proud in the future. Don't forget, AFCON is next year.

Pulling Nacho out for Ighalo was Reducing the sum of our speed. What we needed was to increase our tempo.

Rojo did not intentionally nod the ball to his hand. No way it is a penalty. We had the same scenario with Ebuehi in the Iceland game where he accidentally flicked the ball to his arm. No way a penalty. The referee got it right.

What i saw yesterday the Super Eagles was a display of Stage fright and a coach who is clueless when it comes to substitution and seeing of a game.... No more... No less!!

Ighalo was extremely wasteful in front of goal... He had been poor all along for us but last night was the night he could have redeemed himself but alas, he nailed his coffin. I believe his time with the Super Eagles have ended.. Good riddance

On our coach Gernot Rohr..., even he too killed this team with his timidity, low self esteem and cluelessness..... He should have brought on Iwobi for Etebo and Ogu for Musa(to put more men in the middle and switch to 4-5-1) when Ighalo was missing those chances and Argentina brought on Kun Aguero for a defender.

But No!!... This Gaffer stood like a dunce and did nothing.... What the bloody Bleep was he keeping his Subs on the bench for when the match was ours for the taking?

It was obvious at that point that our legs were heavy and couldn't run... All he should have done was to crowd the midfield more

On going forward... I will say that he should be allowed to continue for the sake of continuity, there is no sense in us going round a vicious cycle with reactive sacking of our coach each time we don't perform well in a tournament

But in retaining him, conditions must be spelt out.... He must become fearless in his approach and turn the team into an attacking team regardless of who we play...

He must strip himself of all his timidity and stop singing this "young team" song... We are tired of it already

Target must be given to him to win the next AFCON or at least play in the final


But in all that we do.... Two things must remain sacrosanct in our team motto henceforth

I didn’t want to accept it but finally it has sunk! Football the so called beautiful game has been destroyed by politics, it’s baffles me these officials and referees can get away with such unbelievable decisions, killing the dreams of millions of people and players, coaches, staffs who have giving their lives to the game and these referees do the most unbelievable things without any punishment or probing! It just shows that the higher powers are the one who decide the games, the players who have trained, worked, fought and pushed them selves to the limits, they are all just wasting their efforts the match has long been decided before even the warm ups. Im in for the end game and I’m very proud of our players but these kind of officiating in argi match just makes you lose a bit or a lot of passion for the game. I can only just imagine how our players who gave their best would feel.
Infantinos tenure is looking worse than blatters! The officiating in this World Cup is probably the worst in history.
