I was in so much pain last night as well....I found it difficult sleeping, eating or doing anything! I was so disorganized and wished the hands of time could be turned back! I was extremely furious at the refree, I was angry we missed so many goal chances, I waa not angry with our players because they tried...I just wished the last goal from Argentina could have been averted...we were very close! I still feel sad about it! Never knew football hurts this much!!!

Pls if you are hypertensive don't watch your team play. If you don't have the heart stay away to avoid this kind of stories. My doctor friend said many casualties were brought to the hospital where he is working.

Also, foootball ain’t worth dying for. Footballers make obscene amount of money, win or lose and folks who cannot afford one good meal a day are stressing themselves with sadness/psychological and emotional trauma b/c of football. Apart from “individuals feeling good”, there’s absolutely no benefit to Nigeria and Nigerians if the super eagles had defeated Argentina. Imagine losing your life b/c 22 guys were running around in a pitch, chasing and kicking a round leather object called football. Very sad!.

Precisely. I don’t watch football with patriotic sentiment like most Nigerians do. Argentina have always had a better team and an upper hand against Nigeria in world football. Watching football with patriotic sentiment beclouds your objectivity and judgement. I knew Nigeria will lose for the simple reason that the argentine team is a better team with better, world class players. Also, that they didn’t play well in their first two matches and that the match is a lose/home bound for them, means that they will come out blazing. As a matter of fact, if Nigeria had won, it would have been an upset.

Please let Nigerian team stop playing in any tournament. I almost died yesterday , I felt my heart coming out of my chest, my body and feet was getting cold. Christ!! These Nigerian team should be disbanded. Let a new crop Of players be trained and not go to any tournament till after 6 or 8 years. Let them just be training and playing friendlies. I'm happy it's only one case we have heard. Help me thank God for my life!

That the man died during the same period of the match, does not mean he died as a result of the outcome of the match. It could just be a big coincidence.
