Mind you Siasia was never given a fair Chance at the Senior National Team. The first time he was appointed, it was for a Rescue Mission after the Eagles abysmal Performance at the 2010 World Cup.

He was appointed in November 2010 and sacked in October 2011 - not up to a Year Bruh - for failing to qualify us for the AFCON 2012 though.

He did his Best to get us qualified but was killed by the Naivete of the technical Unit of the NFF. They weren't assembled to sit and discuss Ludo Game, rather to look after the National Teams from the technical Point of View.

We won a Match and lost a Match (to the Group eventual Winner) prior to his Appointment. We didn't lose a single qualifying Match under him. We walloped Ethiopia 4 - 0 in Nigeria, and came from behind to draw 2 - 2 in the away Match.

We defeated Madagascar 2 - 0 on their Home Soil but poorly conceded a late Goal against Guinea in Nigeria to draw 2 - 2. Do you know why? It's because the Damage was done before Siasia was appointed coz we lost to them on their Home Soil.

We were leading 2 - 1 by 84". Siasia was considering H2H (Away Goal) Rule, thus he wanted one more Goal to seal our Qualification, but unluckily conceded in the last Minute of the Match.

Had he well informed of what he's needed to qualify us for the Tourney, he wouldn't have gone Gung-ho to win the last qualifying Match. So how could he be termed a FLOP with this kinda Results and Performances?

His second Spell was interim and only lasted for few Weeks. He was appointed to steady the Ship after the Resignation of Nigerian Pep Guardiola - Sunday Oliseh.

NFF have already made up their Mind to hire a foreign Coach, hence Siasia was never considered, he was rather appointed to hold the Team together until a foreign Coach is appointed, which he did honorably.

I agree with Davep on the ground that when it gets to the world stage a team has to play as a unit with belief and forget about stars who have won it all individually. You have nothing to lose. A team of average players may not win the WC, but they can go very far. World class players are born, if you don’t have them you have to learn to succeed without them. I think Rohr speaks too much about how the opponent has big name players. There is one thing I like about Keshi. He can pick up unachievers and motivate them to play like their lives depended on their performance. That philosophy coupled with great selection, and world class tactics is all we need in an SE coach. Unfortunately, you can’t find a coach who has it all.

We need a consortium of our best indigenous coaches with the aforementioned strengths to take over from Rohr at the right time.

The last time I check the German team that won the World Cup have numerous champions league winners there, the last time I check the Spanish World Cup team have 6 treble winners from Barcelona and 5 were starters all through the World Cup.

I will agree with him when team like Sweden,Switzerland Japan and others small team win the World Cup.

The Uruguay he is talking for, cavani is a champion, what about surely what about Diego godin and caceres? Those are men with trophies in Europe.

I will believe Dave p when those small teams will win the World Cup as I mentioned there including Mexico.

You cannot have the whole Madrid players in one squad,cr7 is out the others Madrid players will play their own part in their country

Yes having stars on your team can be a plus. But my point is you have to learn to live without them if you don’t have them. Your goal should always be to win the WC, else why play to qualify? When it gets to the World Cup proper, a team should focus on what is necessary to go far. If you don’t go far you can’t have the best shot of winning the cup. We are too overwhelmed with European football that we fail to utilize our inner strength. Nigeria may not have stars today, but we are not playing to our full potential.

Penalty to Russia by the way.

Well..... I agree Siasia should have done his Assignment in details and fully aware of what's needed to get us the sole Ticket in the Group.

However, I wouldn't use that to condemn his SPELL between 2011 and 2012 as FLOP! He had good Stint, just unlucky to get the Job Done.

I see no more than 3 "Tap-ins" unless goals such as the one Rojo scored against Nigeria are also considered tap-ins

one player that have so much amazed me at this world cup is elderson Cavani...He has so much improved all the matches I have watched him play....he did do well.

I see him as a very underrated player...
I am rooting for either Uruguay, France or Belguim to win this world cup......

What a diplomatic way of describing his goal against Arsenal. The rebound wasn't a tap in?
Why not describe the other 4 goals he scored last season in the FA cup. Let's see how correct you're that he didnt score a tap in last year.

Wetin this boy done do you? Haba go and watch it again u will see that it was a shot that beat the keeper, he had a lot to do and he did it well.

Rohr should be allowed to continue abeg...
he has done badly.... I will want him to unearth more talents for us....and would have love it if someone like siasia or amuneke be allowed to work with him..

but the current nepotism at sway in nigeria now...Will rarely favour anyone not from the north...so salisu will likely take over should rohr not continue as super eagles coach.... that i forbid.

I advise you understand the Genesis of this Trend. I wasn't calling for the Sack of Rohr, only correcting the wrong tagging of Siasia as a Failure during his Stints as Super Eagles Coach.

Thanks.

I think it's time for them to shift from Tiki Taka. I've been seeing their matches so far and they don't seem to get much out of it.

It's still Barcelona but he will mostly play in the Second team and that depends on the contract.
