Eagles Striker Joins Steven Gerard In Rangers By Emmanuel Egobiambu - July 10, 2018 Eagles Striker Joins Steven Gerard In Rangers Sadiq Umar. Source: Whazup Nigeria Super Eagles star Sadiq Umar has finalized his season loan deal to Scottish club, Glasgow Rangers from Italian side, AS Roma. Concise News understands that the deal is subject to international clearance. The 21-year-old has found it hard to claim a shirt with AS Roma after joined them from Serie B side Spezia in 2015. “The plan was to stay in Rome this season but when Steven Gerrard calls, you can’t say no,” Sadiq told Rangers TV. “He told me about the team, the players, that everyone will be at my side if I come here and he will help me to go forward in my career. “You don’t have to think twice when someone says that to you.” Sadiq won a bronze medal in the football event at the Rio 2016 Olympics with Nigeria. https://www.concisenews.global/2018/07/10/eagles-striker-joins-steven-gerard-in-rangers/ 1 Like |

tbaba1234: There's no deception here, I'm putting out what was reported and recall that 6 months to the 2009 U17 world cup, about 15 members of the supposed Nigerian team were laid off after failing they MRI test because FIFA introduced a routine check to try out players so to be on the safe side, it was better every player was tested because you don't know who will be picked at random just liked they do with dope test. In subsequent tournaments, they stopped random check and made it mandatory to check every player. The Acting General Secretary of NFF, Barrister Musa Amadu said: Taiwo Ogunjobi: http://www.thetidenewsonline.com/2009/11/07/eaglet%E2%80%99s-age-scandal-adokiye-sticks-to-gun/ cc Icon4s, TheGoodJoe 1 Like |

goldfish80: It is deceptive because that was not a FIFA mandated test. It was done in house by Nigeria. It is definitely much easier for over-aged to be passed through in unregulated tests especially in a place like Nigeria. In 2009, 1 or 2 players were tested after every match at random, this means that the bulk of the team never got tested by FIFA. It was only in 2011, that it became a mandated regulated test conducted several times by CAF and FIFA. It is highly unlikely that a 25 year old will pass a properly regulated MRI test. 1 Like |

tbaba1234: The fact was that he came out in the clear after passing two tests in Abuja and Qatar. Like I said earlier, the Nff tested every player in 2009 so as to ensure no one failed FIFA's random test. It was a sensible thing to do that was why they were they didn't believe Adokie's accusations till he produced picture evidence. I have posted not less than 3 articles which clearly states that a person's chronological age is different from bone maturity. 3 Likes |

EEGA: They pace and technicality. However, they are not physically robust and when it comes to set pieces we will have no presence. There will be no hold up play. How many goals has Giroud scored he is slow but creates opportunity for other players. Look at Raheem how many sitters has he lost. However, he wasn't crucified they way Ighalo has been. |

goldfish80: I really don't why some people are refusing to accept the clear cut stone cold truth. Is it misplaced pride. Will everyone agree that's it's impossible for a 15 year old to remain the same after 6 months there will be changes and over 2/3 years considerable changes in face, body, height, etc generally speaking. However, once you get to 21 up until your 30's you will find far less dramatic change generally speaking. Look at a 15 year old Omeruo in 2009 and see how he has changed, and that tells a story. Chukwudi complaint at the time was, is he the only one, why is he alone being targeted. |

goldfish80: Are you still trying to convince these guys that MRI is not 99.9% certain? It's very very funny that I had to argue that stuff with people who have absolutely zero knowledge of basic radiography but leave them to believe whatever they want sha, MRI is the ultimate, it has no error at all 1 Like |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Mickael2(m): 10:38am On Jul 11, 2018 |
komekn: it is a clear case of whoever is caught is the true and only criminal. I am sure there were other cases in that 2009 but since their own evidence wasn't exactly clear cut it was swept under the carpet and that is what has been happening ever since. In 2009 if I remember correctly, every player was tested twice, the random testing was done during the tournament proper which doesn't exactly change the fact that MRI was used for everybody. The difference now is that FIFA tests every player on their own before the tournament starts but still in 2009 every single player was tested |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Mickael2(m): 10:48am On Jul 11, 2018 |
tbaba1234: one thing I like about you is that you are willing to accept that you are wrong....most times anyways. let's say this as it is. Do not blame corruption in this case. They were tested in Nigeria first then in Aspire academy, do you think that Aspire academy would want to soil their good name? Or you think that an academy in Qatar would need our money? Qatar? Oil money? So I am sure in that case the NFF did their work perfectly well, this has all to do with the MRI testing, it is not definite or even close to that. It's relatively average, let's say about 65-70% that's why weight is a better determinant of age( there was a year the shell cup was based on students weight as a criteria). Even now that FIFA checks everybody what has changed? There is this Brazilian guy called mosquito from the 2011 set or so....that guy was way way older than 20 but he passed the MRI, where is he now though? |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by tbaba1234: 11:03am On Jul 11, 2018 |
goldfish80: See anything that goes through the Nigerian system alone can not be trusted.. That is fact. An unregulated test done in Nigeria is still subject to the things that happen in Nigeria. The margin of error is not that big, It is usually +/- 2 years. That to me is an acceptable margin. A valid 16 year old can fail an MRI test if his bone has fused. The likelihood of Fortune Chukwudi passing a regulated MRI test is low. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by tbaba1234: 11:10am On Jul 11, 2018 |
Mickael2: Whatever test was carried out for the 2009 team was unregulated making it subject to the things we do in Nigeria. Whatever test was done in Qatar was a private unregulated test not an Aspire academy test. They were not required to submit official results to any official body. This means that we can protect important players. Fortune Chukwudi was captain then, signifying his importance. The likelihood of Fortune Chukwudi passing a valid MRI test at his age is very low. There is a reason why we have not had scandals since 2009. The tests became mandatory. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by tbaba1234: 11:14am On Jul 11, 2018 |
Look at the current under 20 team, there are several players that you can easily prove are overage. Not just overage but far above the age limit The 2013 and 2015 under 17 players have avoided such scandals because of Mandatory MRI tests. |

Kante though diminutive has proven to be a beast under 8 years. Ndidi is gradually coming to fore and the guy is in his formative years. He will bring the "A" game when the beast is unlocked |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by goldfish80(m): 11:31am On Jul 11, 2018 |
tbaba1234: Are you saying Fortune Chukwudi passed two unregulated MRI scans in Abuja and Aspire academy in Doha? Why will the Nff risk getting found out by FIFA's random test if he was picked up for routine tests in the tournament? Are you also saying that over 15 members of the team failed unregulated MRI test 6 months to the tournament? Obuh Names Age CheatsAgain you can see clearly that Fortune Chukwudi actually survived the test @bolded. I expect apologies for suggesting I was being deceptive. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by tbaba1234: 11:41am On Jul 11, 2018 |
goldfish80: My point still stands though.. These were private unregulated tests. That is what i think is deceptive. The facility where it is conducted is irrelevant. Equating the private test done by ourselves for Ourselves to a monitored controlled test. The risk is lower in random tests because only a few players will get tested. You can certainly put in a few overaged players In Nigeria, people take job tests and we still select those with connections. So yes, i will take a regulated test more seriously. We only had started having FIFA mandated tests in 2011. Since then, look at the composition of players from the African continent that make the tournaments. They obviously look younger. It is no surprise that FIFA made it mandatory in 2011 after the Fortune Chukwudi scandal I apologize if i offended you in anyway, it was not my intention. |
