Former US president, Barack Obama is set to visit Africa again for some events. The visit is the first time the former leader will be traveling to Africa since he left office last year.

Barack Obama will launch a civic leadership programme by the Obama Foundation after selecting 200 rising leaders from forty-four African countries. The programme will be launched by former US President Barrack Obama on July 14 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Obama took to his social media page to hail late Nigerian novelist Chinua Achebe among others ahead of his visit.

I was proud to visit sub-Saharan Africa more times than any other sitting President, and I’ll return this week to visit Kenya and South Africa. Ya'll don't know what the fúck you're talking about. He said he would visit Nigeria on the condition that Goodluck would ensure electricity for the whole country. That obviously didn't happen and Obama didn't come. Trump has never been here and called Nigeria a shîthole.
