There is no need of panicking, just go the bank with your transaction details, they will help you to contact the recipient and he will have no option than to reverse the money. Someone has mistakenly tranfered 66k to me without any traces for me to call back but with the help of the bank he was able to reach me and I was gladly to refund the money.

Another bank thats abit difficult tho depends on the amount we're talking about it can be taken up or overlooked.

Please lay your complaint to your bank. They will liaise with the beneficial bank which will conduct an investigation and get back to you.

It is not a scam money. They will only contact him for refund and if he is a good person, he will refund. If not, there is nothing they will do about it. Since he didn't scam. It was error.

I had similar issue last year and I mesaaged the bank on their Verified facebook handle to find out why my recipient is yet to get her money. It was then I was told that the recipient's account number doesn't match with the bank I picked. They requested for the bank name and helped me complete the transaction. Tell your friend to either go to the nearest branch, call them or message them.

See.. do you knw how scammer out dere pley there trik.. dey can withdraaw your money in all your bank acount. Through your sim card..if it got lost ..with that. It can be through to the sender acount.. after they block the sender acount and also flag the bvn which he can do any transaction involving bank again forever till internity.. if he go to the bank to complain the scammer will be arrested. She actually said she made a transaction to a wrong account number. Apparently it was successful. The only way she can get the money is if the owner of the said account withdraws and pays her back, I think.

Your case is not clear....wrong transfer to a wrong bank and a wrong account number. The coincidence is...

While attempting to complete a transaction online (I assume) you will be required to confirm the beneficiary details.

Or is the concern how to reverse a successfully completed transaction.

Hello, its very simple, go to the court and get a court order, show them the proof of the transfer made... With the court order, the bank will immediately debit the account if the money is still there.... Do that NOW!!!!

Once the transaction is successful,the bank can only help you to throw the receivers account on illegal post no debit.. This will attract the customer to the bank for a possible reversal.. Note that most banks don't do that because of litigations from a customer that is well experienced.....

Better, atleast the funds are safe, now the bank would get the customer to come and reactivate the account and the funds would be sent back to her, if the customer is delaying let her just go to the nearest court and get a court order necessitating the bank to reverse the funds to her.The order costs just like 1k only.

Notify your Bank

Your Bank will "Hold" the alleged fraudulent transfer in the Beneficiary account. Or Your Bank will notify the Beneficiary Bank who will also hold the sum if it has not been withdrawn.

The Bank will notify the Beneficiary who will either give his written consent for a refund to you or ignore same.

If he consents, the Bank will revert the transfer but we're the Beneficiary withholds his consent, then you will be required to obtain a court order before the Bank can reverse the money.

Its very possible that another bank account can exist in another bank.... Very possible, however if the account does not exist, then funds is hanging, call customer care.... They will handle

lay a complain at your bank and they will restrict the account to that amount. This means if the person spends his money to the amount your bank put in lieu he will be getting insufficient balance error message whenever he tries to withdraw from the bank. Then it can be sorted out. The earlier you complain, the faster resolved. Good luck!

Court order is the fastest way of getting your funds... Whether the account is dormant, or no bvn linked or any challenge.... Court order gives you your funds sharp sharp. However it cost about 5k... It may vary

Let your friend go to her bank to lodge the complaint……her Bank will initiate a fund repatriation process on her behalf. Filling of indemnity and other documentation may be required though, but it’s revocable, especially if the other person at that end has not withdrawn the fund.
