The 100 is the better of the two.

Lost became "lost" on both the audience and the writers.
Thanks

Case in point: The Shape of Water. It won multiple oscars, but ask 5 random people in here their respective opinions, and I guarantee you, their answers will mostly be on the negative.
Weren't you the one who said on this thread that one man's meat is another man's poison? The Shape of Water deserves every award it received. I love that movie!! cheesy

Another case in point: La La Land. A "musical" comedy that you'd be hard pressed to find a single catchy tune in, but somehow ended up winning multiple Oscars. To borrow your phrase, "is this not witchcraft?"
I agree with you. This one is not only witchcraft, it is sorcery. This is one movie that had no business winning anything. angry

The strange thing is the movie has very high ratings. The movie had over 90% positive reviews, so do we now blame 'old white men' for this too? It was considered good enough to win Best Picture, so there must have been something in the movie that won the votes (juju, probably).

Nope. The emboldened is blatantly fallacious. Here's why:

- First, The Shape of Water wasn't even the favorite prior to the out-of-the-blue coup d'etat.
- 2nd, the movie didn't connect with the average audience.
- 3rd,Three Billboard Outside Ebbing, Missouri won all the precursor awards going into the ceremony, and was rightfully the clear favorite.
- 4th, The Oscars uses a special "preferential" voting process that favors movies with hyper-passionate followings over more polarizing picks, and it unfortunately counted against Three Billboards.

Bottom line: The Shape of Water may have won 4 Oscars including best pictures on that fateful night, but it were only made possible by the dubious newly introduced preferential voting process that not only tilted the voting process in that borefest's favor, but showed to anyone with perception that the Oscars (at least, the white octogenarians running the institution) is clearly bias.

Having a positive review/high ratings is not the deciding criterion of winning an Oscars. If that's the case, it will turn into a popularity contest instead of a merit ceremony. There are processes to undergo that would determine the eventual winner, like I said below:

I will bet my left kidney that La La Land gamed the system using this process.

I noticed you didn't dispute this one as passionately as you did with The Shape of Water. In short, you didn't dispute this one at all. You have a very flexible outlook. It's convenient, but not very consistent.

I am flexible, quite alright. I will call a spade by it's true name, and not by what people think it should be called.

I always laugh hysterically about people peeving when movies are spoiled. I mean common it's just entertainment, no strings could ever be attached except if you are dumb enough not to know the cast are somewhere with less headache about the movies enjoying their lives.
So on this note,I beesech anybody with good spoilers to always drop them here. I feed on 'destroyers' grin it's my no 1 diet
With this your statement, I hereby apply to be your step-brother.

Alot of people gave spoilers on LIFE, you no cry out, but when I give one 'phrase' review of a movie, you go moan, sorry, groan.

Be it as it may, some people here come to hear spoilers to motivate them to download or go to watch the movie without regrets. Even though some people wouldn't come out clearly in the open to say they love spoilers, but whether you know it or not, spoilers make many here HAPPY.

I wont give detailed spoilers here like more than 10 people did on 'PREDESTINATION' and 'ACRIMONY', but, I will definitely say what I like or dont like in a movie, without giving a fvck if it turns out to be a spoiler to anybody or not.

It is only inconsiderate people like you who come to spoil movies for others. If you like don't give a fvck, but the day I will have your time, you will think twice before being a fvcking spoil sport.

IN BRUGES
7/10.
I love the convo between the two hitmen. The end is so impossible.

CAST AWAY 2000
Lots of morales there:
- to bring out the instinct to survival in desperate times.
- love and do your job diligently.
- faithfulness
- know when to take selfless decisions

Catch me if you can (2002). Mehn leonardo di caprio is amazing, the way he gets into the characters he acts ehn. But can't get enough of Tom Hanks, one of the most interesting detective characters I've ever seen. All in all, highly recommended if u haven't seen it yet.
