Anyway sha, I printed, then I blasted in tongues as I entered taxi, i headed to the embassy at 9am, interview was schedule for 10 am, however, I entered, saw the gate man, he arranged my documents for me, met a doctor going for masters, and a guy going for PhD...However as I entered the interview room, I saw her MARGARET THATCHER, she didn't smile, her first question was "I hope u photocopied and arranging everything in order cus I don't have time to waste!"
I said yes ma, I arranged everything....then she stop picks up the phone and asked the gate man why he allowed someone without appointment(referring to the doctor that was going for masters) inside her office, that he shouldn't try it again next time and before the gateman could reply she banged the phone on him (I smiled inside and told the devil that he is a liar)...she continued typing in my details and kept typing then she got angry again, this time, it was at the computer...she kept trying to type but everything was slow

1hr gone, still nothing has happened, then a German lady came in and told her to be fast with me that a diplomat or someone important is coming...she got angry again.... (I said Lord pls take absolute control )....then she said, now, I want to interview u, I was like "yes"

She started with what school, I told her
..Then she said "see aunty u better speak up "(in my mind, I said Jesus take over)
..then she asked "what course" and I told her it's a degree in health informatics....immediately this woman stood up and started raking...she said "NO NO NO, what is this (then she cursed in yoruba)" then said, "what kind of workload is this people giving me, what is this"...then she went and called the German woman and then the German woman came and they started talking , even me, I even pitied the German woman because the way the Margaret Thatcher was talking to her was so rude...then before I knew what was happening, M.T said please give me the receipt I gave u before, she cancelled somethings, gave me back my money and said "No, am sorry, it looks like we made a mistake please u are to take ur interview in Lagos" I got so pissed, I was like what is this, this isn't right..then as I was about to rake, the German woman, approached me and was so sweet and nice and said that she promises me that she will handle this because the mistake was their fault and that she is so sorry but she promise me that I will get a special treatment and that if I come across any hurdle, I should email her immediately"

Na so I go Abuja Interview today. ...and also for those that live in Abuja going for interview, u don't need Prepaid envelope

My mails to the embassy seeking an interview date was consistently ignored for almost two weeks until i used a computer to send it. The phone i was using doubles the messages i send thereby making it disorganized and cumbersome. I am not saying that is why yours has been ignored but you can try..

Also hope your enrollment deadline is in October

I'm beginning to suspect it's because I applied with the acceptance notification issued by the Admissions Committee in lieu of official admission letter from the university, which I was told may take some weeks b4 I receives it.

I have actually sent a mail to my programme coordinator to as a matter of urgency, request the Student Department to fast-track the process. I also pleaded with him to contact the Student Visa Section of the Embassy via the regular mail to assign appointment date to me, whilst I await the official letter.

I hope it works out.

Yes you should be fine. Apply through fintiba but make sure on the day of your interview when they ask you "have you funded", don't just tell them no. Tell them you will either be bringing an SL or BA so that they don't just mark you down to say you must bring a BA eventually so tell them you're either bringing an SL or BA

let's take you back to some scenario. Assume you are applying for a masters degree in a school here in Nigeria. Now see what I will advise you do, walk into any university close to your domain, meet the HOD of a course you will intend apply an msc for. Explain to him or her about your intentions ie you intend to send your transcript to their department as though you want to apply for an msc, so that once they receive it, you will come pick it up from them, and use it to apply for the German schools. let him or her know your school won't give it to you by hand, and the German schools you intend applying needs you to certify the copy of the original, which is the major reason you intend to do it this way. plead for assistance and pray you find favor.

Then she collected my prepaid envelope and WAEC card and that was the end.

Visa fee was 26500 always take extra because it changes based on exchange rate of the day.

Things to note-

Come early.

Kindly follow your checklist make sure you have all documents and photocopies as stated.

Bring extra passport photo as I was asked for one extra besides the two I put on my form.

I was asked for my primary school certificate but I told him I did not have it, then he said OK put your secondary school certificate and university cert n transcript.

I came with my old intl passport as biographical document but I didn’t put it. He asked for just baptismal card, library card, vaccination card and old school ID card . I told him I had none and he said OK and asked me to arrange the next document.

Listen to Mr P and avoid asking him questions. Everything you need is written on your checklist. He will direct you on how to arrange your documents. But it helps if you arrange it according to the checklist in 3 batches, so it’s easy for you to reach when he is directing you.

Do not carry bags there you won’t be allowed in with it. Just put all you need in a folder , bring along an extra clear folder. Because he would use it to put your arranged document prior to going into the consulate.

Be Calm and confident. Don’t fabricate, just say what you know and are sure of.

Smile and be cheerful.

Prepare well and I pray God crowns all our effort with success.

no go to any state ministry of education and request that the should give you proficoancy letter showing that your English is equivalents to B2/C1 CEF
Also you university can give you letter which will be accepted by most university but for Jena and some schools dey always say u should specify CEF equivalent
