I am a huge party rice fan, but you can't cook only jollof rice
One must add beans for DH, so here's Sunday lunch

Who can help with how do I fry groundnut to get that brown colour? E dey always burn. How do those guys that sell in bottle fry theirs? I want to buy in large quantity, fry and be eating small small at home.

Get your groundnuts, select out the shriveled ones

Place in a bowl, pour hot boiling water just to cover the groundnut, add salt (if you want the salted one), leave for one hour or more time by then it would have absorbed the water and salt and swollen a bit.

Pour in a sieve and spread out to dry in the sun or air dry as there's hardly sun these days when it's dry you can fry with garri or clean sand.

You can also fry without soaking at all too but soaking will make the nuts swell a bit.

The key to frying is continuously stirring, not too much heat, you pick one from time to time to see if it's peeling. Once it starts peeling your groundnut is almost done. Just stir few times more.

If you leave it even for 1minute without stirring it can get burnt.

Try to fry like half derica first.

I understand your plight, I burnt my first set of groundnut too.

The very minute you start frying your groundnut, don't stop stirring abi na turning it. That's the reason yours gets burnt. Sit by the fire and turn it religiously while constantly checking(peeling one or two) if the colour is fine by you. I hope this helps.
Okay, thanks. Will try it out.

1h10 all together.

1. You obviously have to defrost the meat over night. Add whatever spices and sauces then place the meats on small bakibg pans, all in over except for chicken. 30-45munites cooking time

2. Place the pie in table oven and it will also automatically turn off when done. 25-30mintes

1 and 2 are cooking themselves, whilst doing 3&4

3. Veges are all uncooked so you chop and mix. <10 munites all 3

4. Both the chicken and corn on a barbecue stand. <10munites both

Get the sasauge out anytime....I normally wait 10munites then get it out. Thats before doing no.4
Wow. If it was me, I'll definitely spend more than 3 hours there.

I disagree with you on this o ... Once the puff-puff has contours, I ain't touching it with a ten-foot pole
