Senate President Bukola Saraki may have gone into hiding following the invitation extended to him by the police to report and answer questions relating to the armed robbery in Offa in April.

The police had on Monday night said Saraki should appear at its Intelligence Response Team at Guzape in Abuja by 8.am today.

However, Saraki in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Yusuph Olaniyonu last night accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of being behind the fresh police invitation.
When our correspondent went to Saraki's house at about 8.am this morning at Maitama District, it was observed ‎that only few vehicles were parked with only few people carrying out their normal activities.

It was later learnt that Saraki's residence had come under siege by some policemen but that they later left even before our correspondent's arrival.

When our correspondent contacted Olaniyonu about the whereabouts of his principal, he said he could not confirm as he had no access to the house.
He said he was in the residence early in the morning and that when he saw "massive police deployment on the street," he decided to leave.

Also, the spokesman to Ike Ekweremadu, the Deputy Senate President, Uche Anichukwu, said on telephone that his principal's house was under siege by the police.

We warned you people that Buhary is a megalomaniac, he will rather DIE in Aso rock than relinquish power in 2019.

This unlawful evil coup in the senate will fester. This fire will surely spread. There is a limit to things in a democracy. We have obviously gone beyond the last frontiers of sanity and civility. Let's all brace our selves for the impact.

Why must the DSS & police lay siege in his house while it have not been established he failed to honour the Police invitation
Simply a demonstration of the impunity & tyranny that the APC is all about.Meanwhile why will the residence of the deputy SP be placed under siege too
Well that is the safest thing to do now since there is no explanation for this sudden act of lawlessness by this useless government.

This last minute desperation from both ends calls for serious review of tactics.
Saraki already has an alibi to hide from invitation citing the invasion, they played into his hand.

I do not have any iota of pity for the characters involved.

I'm just worried about the desecration of higher offices in the land on the alter of bitter politics and the deployment of state apparatus to fight personal battles.

Precedence is being set.

Saraki can only run, he can't hide forever. He will be caught and made to face the full wrath of the law. Now, we can all see why the police and DSS stormed his residence this morning. He should be smoked out from where ever hole he's hiding.
