Kinfinity007: Do you have your tracking number written down somewhere else? If so, just go with it to Vfs (take a copy of the data page of your Intl passport just in case) and explain to them. Do same even if you don't have the tracking number written down somewhere. |

[quote author=Eunicemyrhrun post=69694916]Good evening everyone, I recently applied for a canadian visa through the paper route and I got a refusal letter yesterday. Here are the documents I submitted: S.O.P letter Sponsor's Bank Statements (Containing £15,000 or 7,000,000 naira) i.e Sponsor is based in the UK. WAEC and GCE Result Admission letter Reciept of tuition for a term. Sponsor's Property Documents Letter of Introduction from Sponsor Sworn Affidavit attested to by a NOTARY Public clearly stating the relationship of sponsor to applicant, occupation of sponsor, marital status, number of dependents (He has none). Passport. Resume. Police clearance certificate. Photocopies of birth certificate or Age declaration in the absence of a birth certificate. Sponsor's ID-card and Passport datapage copy. Consent Letter from mum (As I am under 18 and would be 18 August). That's all I can remember, I am meant to resume on the 4th of September at Holland college. So what do i do now? Can i still reapply against September and If so how can I make sure I tackle every reason for denial. Thanks so much. Used an agent before but now I am willing to do it myself, but I need your help and contributions. Please Help a girl out! P.S: The letter of refusal that I was given yesterday is attached to this message. Thanks again in advance! Didn't you attach landed properties of ur parents here in Nigeria and ur family members birth certificate |

Ggetter50: Hello bro, it depends on the school, program and city in Uk. My UG was for 4 years. I don’t know anyone who has a UK degree with 2:1 and has gone for masters in Canada but I am very positive that you will get a masters with a Uk degree. My transcript came out in May and certificate in July (if I had gotten all this earlier, I would have gone for masters). My initial plan was to do masters in Uk for September. But then it dawned on me, after masters in UK, what next? I changed plan in July (PGC was my only option as at then). I decided I could use one stone to kill 2 birds. I need to show money in my account for 28days to renew my Uk visa, I can as well use that same statement for Canada since it is 1 week processing time (although it’s been more than 1 week now). The feedback I get from Canada determines if I renew my visa for Uk or not. My uk visa expires end of August, so I still got time. I strongly believe my Canada visa will be out before then and I can pack my things and run away. When i get to Canada, I will do masters in May (once I complete my PGC) and I will use my UK degree to apply. The whole process will cost me extra money (the PGC and then masters) but it is better been in Canada with opportunity to stay back than been told to leave UK after my masters. I have invested £36,000 just on fees for UG in UK and then i spend another 9k for masters and still be told to leave without opportunity to stay back? 2 Likes 1 Share |

by all means do it and send it to them. It will be uploaded to your application and you won't have to wait for them to waste more of your precious time. Your Medical result is valid for one year Aivewobhormike: |

I'm June applicant ooo and nothing yet. Applied 12 June, biometrics done on the 22nd of June, I read here on this page that application vetting starts counting after completion of biometrics, but I and a friend who apllied around mid - may had our biometrics done same day and the dude was refused some days ago. Does this mean June applicants will soon start getting responses from the embassy? |

Ggetter50: A three years degree obtained from the UK is equivalent to Canadian degrees. I have a 2:1 from a British University and i gained admission for MBA to VIU and Thompson Rivers University. 1 Like |

Good evening house! Can anyone suggest schools offering MEng Admissions for winter of 2019? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Naijaforeigner: 7:45pm On Jul 25, 2018 |
Mbaku86: You are not far from the truth boss but let us be careful. The United Kingdom is large. UK degrees are of different types. There is normal degree (which could be a top up degree without dissertation) and there is honours degree (includes dissertation). Scottish universities offer you honours degree in 4 years (with dissertation) but you have the option of leaving at year 3 with just a normal degree. Some schools in England offer top up degrees to students with HND from Nigeria, these degrees may not get you masters in Canada because they are not honours. Once it is a UK honours degree (wether 3 or 4 years) you will get your masters admission with a 2:1 in Canada. Normal degree = no dissertation Honours degree = dissertation Only a UK honours degree is equivalent to Canada’s 4 years degree. My opinion. 2 Likes |

Good evening gurus in the house. Please I need someone to advice me on what to do. I have an admission with NSCC college Canada and am supposed to resume 4th September but yet to apply. My 1st term tuition due date is August 3rd and will bring making the payment by next week before th deadline then proceed with the visa application process . Then my question. What if am denied visa, will my tuition fee be refunded back to me? Is it too late for me to apply in August, knowing fully well the visa process takes more than a month and am supposed to resume 4 September? Please your advice and opinions are welcome.. God bless |

jazzyjay:I think the question on refund in the case of visa denial should be directed to your school. Some schools have non refund policies. Some schools you can defer etc. 1 Like |

Kishkosh: This is very true. The vetting of applicants starts right after biometrics is concluded, even before review of eligibility. Once a file is vetted and passed, it moves to the next stage which is review of eligibility. I think June applicants will start hearing now of their fate. Brace up, the Lord is your strength!! 1 Like |
