jnyuwa02: The question is what exactly are they vetting ? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Mbaku86: 9:04pm On Jul 25, 2018 |
yfeey: If you are in a hurry i will advise you not to do it in Abuja Clinic. For some reason (known to them) they delay in sending their reports. I used them when Medicals were requested by CIC and it took them two weeks to send my report. Moreso, they are the most expensive out of all the Accredited Hospitals authorized by CIC. It costs 48,000 Naira to conduct your medicals at Abuja Clinic. The other alternative is IOM, some Nairalanders have given decent reviews of the clinic. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jnyuwa02: 9:28pm On Jul 25, 2018 |
blaqnony: Whatever they feel is amiss. It could be a verification of the credibility questions asked whether you have been denied visa to another country or asked to leave another country. It could be criminal background check as always. It could be the authenticity of bank statement or other documents you submitted. Sundry verifications some not even privy to my knowledge. Then and after then, does it move to deternination of eligibility. If you don’t pass the stage, you get an administrative letter accusing you of stuffs that you have to respond to. 5 Likes |

Plz were you called for medicals before the refusal or you did medical upfront tonnymexx: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by blaqnony: 9:40pm On Jul 25, 2018 |
jnyuwa02: Such which one is background check? Abeg let us stop all this second guessing. There is nothing like vetting in the process. What we have are bodlu written there. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Biakwa: 9:57pm On Jul 25, 2018 |
jnyuwa02: But actually their have been skeletal rejection from June recently |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jnyuwa02: 10:00pm On Jul 25, 2018 |
blaqnony: Background check is your criminal history. That is why your fingerprints are collected. They are run over an extended database to see if an applicant has committed crime somewhere or wanted or applied for visa and rejected or removed from another country. There is no second guessing, vetting is a necessary part of the application process and its undeniably done. 3 Likes |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jnyuwa02: 10:01pm On Jul 25, 2018 |
Biakwa: Yes, there are those easy denials which are usually the first to come within 3-4 weeks of filing online or paperoute. Those are the easy denials you are seeing from June already. The bulk of the strongest cases presented in June come much later and you will start seeing those decisions soon. |

Eunicemyrhrun: I will suggest you request for a CAIPS note to be sure of the reasons for refusal. |

jnyuwa02: Thank you for your detailed responses bro, but, does these countries share travelers info among themselves that will make them know an applicant has been denied or violated immigration policy of another country b4. 1 Like |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jnyuwa02: 2:50am On Jul 26, 2018 |
phemmisky: Yes, Canada has third party biometrics sharing agreements with certain countries (I don’t know the entire list) to divulge information on immigration history of applicants for a visa. With the United States in particular, Canada can automatically query U.S. system, even with no human involved, to be able to access certain information. If they want more information than automatically available, they initiate a personalized request to the country in question and this can take an ungodly time for a human to comb the record and send documented history. Answer every question correctly and honestly on your application form. Especially the one that asked you if you were ever denied a visa or asked to leave another country. That question was put there not as a routine information collection, but as a credibility test. 5 Likes |

Good day everyone, please I need urgent help I applied for a study permit at the embassy, online route June 10th 2018,I did my biometrics 20th June 2018. I also did upfront medicals since April 27th 2018. Till today which is 26th July, I have not heard anything from the embassy, not even my medicals have been updated. They only updated my biometrics which came the same day I did it. Please help, am I supposed to be bothered? What exactly do I do? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jnyuwa02: 3:08am On Jul 26, 2018 |
orobs93: Might be an error or your application moving extremely fast. Never heard of an email with tracking number a few days after submission and biometrics completed. Tracking for what? Something is amiss. Are you a fall applicant and when does your school start? You are late applying. 2 Likes |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jnyuwa02: 3:43am On Jul 26, 2018 |
Dan1936: Use the CSE webform and send them a message. Enclose your medical form again with your message and ask them to update your online profile to reflect medicals as passed. That would bring your case to attention and hopefully speeden up a decision. Keep the house informed of your progress. 1 Like |
My Application was approved this morning My Timeline Online May 15,2018 Medical Call....8th June,2018 Medical Done.... 12th June 2018 Medical updated as passed on my online account...16th June,2018 Approval happened this morning. I am going to Seneca College, Advanced Diploma in Event & Media Production. I submitted less document, no police report or sibling birth certificate or any other less relevant document. just a good SOP and relevant documents. The thing I have been able to learn is that there no particular way that work. This forum help me shaped my application positively , most especially with the sop because I have to write a conniving SOP on why I am going for a diploma program in Event & Media Production when I have a Bsc in Computer Science. So thank you guys. One Love, the blessing go reach. To all TRV hopefulls, it will end in praise.Keep on keeping on
24 Likes 1 Share |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by blaqnony: 7:27am On Jul 26, 2018 |
orobs93: Oga just calm down. Once your application is done online there is nothing to track. It will continue to show that Record Not Found. That stuff is meant for people who did paper route. I applied almost 3 months now it is still showing that same thing till now. Come to think of it, once you open your profile, everything is there for you to see and that explains why there isn't anything to further track. 1 Like |

Favouredbae: You are asked if you want your passport couriered to you at the point when you file application paperoute. I don’t think you can request it now if you initially did not opt for that Information when you filed. Call VSF or chat them up using live chat on their website. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jnyuwa02: 8:20am On Jul 26, 2018 |
orobs93: It’s just gimmicks! Maybe a mistake coming from where you went for biometrics. Sounds like the kind of email sent to applicants who file paper, was somehow mistakenly routed to you. 1 Like |
