Alhassan Yusuf, 18 year old midfielder, new signing for swedish club IFK Goteborg.. One to keep an eye on. These are the kind of youngsters Aigbogun should be recruiting for his team. 1 Like |

BascoVanVeli: Trencin is a good place for Nigerian players. Moses, Kalu, Madu and now Hilary Gong has to the Eredivise... They have a good record with Nigerian players. |

tbaba1234: Alhassan Yusuf is a current squad member of the Paul Aigbogun's U20. He was part of the last U17. He came into prominence in the Gothia cup held in Sweden last year.So I am not surprised he is going back to Sweden to start a professional career. 1 Like |

Icon4s: We need more young boys like him in the team. Jerome Akor is another young boy in the team. I am optimistic that once the foreign based are included, we will have a more realistic under 20 side. 5 Likes 1 Share |

tbaba1234: Gradually and gradually. So you see the team is not made of all "old men" after all. We also expect the infussion of Samuel Chukwueze, Orji Okonkwo and Kingsley Michael. The foreign pros may not likely be available for the AYC. But I hope the team makes it to the WC. Thank God the U20 is always held at the end of season. So then we expect a full house. 1 Like |

Icon4s: Icon, The vast majority are old men. At least 80%.. That is not good at all. Akor, Nazifi, etc are more of the exception not the rule. We can do better. It is very depressing to see. |

gamaliel9: In some regards the lowly Scottish league mirrors the English league in terms of physicality speed and intensity. Umar has been playing in a better league technically speaking. However, he may lack the fitness to compete. His former coaches in Belguim highlighted an issue INCONSISTENCY. That's not good bullying players in the Belguim league is a lot easier than the Scottish league. I Watched Umar play several times and the rate at which he falls over is very worrying. Particularly as he is tall and supposedly strong. To be told if the news is true so early in the season that you are not fit. Is not a good sign I am concerned for him. I know Gerrard not deeply personally he probably will not remember me. However, if you are training and you can't get the required tensity you will not play. If you can't give 100% with intensity for 90 minutes you will have a problem. Fitness creates the ability to deliver consistently. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/umar-sadiq-absent-rangers-flight-12978771 |

Danielnino00: Lookman and Ejaria were involved in the NFF shambolic shame of a recruitment for the U17 Eaglets but we're dropped. Why Egunje was at the heart of it all, not one iota of doubt. They then were not selected Lookman and Ejaria were really not making any waves then. Now we waited for them to become big first with Enclosed then remembered them. Is that how you forge honest and true relationships, ❓ I will say it again we should be getting players before they blow, thay is what good quality scouting is about. Not jumping on the bandwagon when England starts to call them. These players also look at the way previous players have been treated by the NFF and that leaves serious doubts. Or do you think that it's only Salisu involved in Egunje in the NFF. Consider how Sone Aluko, Hope Akpan have been treated. 2 Likes |

smartsmith0907: Firstly Lookman and Tega don't play the same position, so who us better is really not a tenable question here. The question is which of our current strikers is better than Tega Abrahams right now on current form ❓ KC or Ighalo Ighalo ❓ ❓ Even with Musa it's debatable because they are totally different players. |

andrew444: If you were to go through the EPL Youth academy which is FAR FAR HIGHER than the Swedish league. There are over 300 Nigerian origin players playing the U21 section. Chelsea alone double figures. Should we therefore invite them all to Lagos for jamboree. ❓ This guy may struggle to get into league two academy or even non league in England. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by BascoVanVeli(m): 11:04am On Jul 27, 2018 |
tbaba1234: The players don't sign themselves if the club won't sign them it's not by force. Morocco is not a bad league btw. Plus maybe striker is not a position that clubs are looking at Nigeria for because we have other players making the jump, maybe we should focus on them. It only takes one match to decide if a player has quality or not. You don't need to watch training because it was through his performance in training that he got the start. The players quality is not in doubt he even scored right after getting dropped from the wc squad and I back him to break Mfon Udoh's record on return which I consider good for Nigerian football. |

Icon4s: As far as i am concerned that boy i see there is not a young boy,if we call our so called u20 players old men then this boy i see here make no difference. That boy i see there is just about 3 years younger than our u20 players, that still doesnt make him 18. We cannot call our home base over age and see this one and call him a young boy just because he is in sweden common,i will never agree with that. 2 Likes |

andrew444: I don't understand this comment. The boy is verifiably young unlike some other players in the under 20 team. His youth is verifiable meaning it can be proven. I am simply advocating for including genuinely young players not the uncles in the team. 1 Like 1 Share |
