Issokay. GS has posted the part that is the bone of contention sha and nobody here called it fraud.
Guitarlife:

Hi Newmum, Glitteringstar this is the position of the poster.
I do not think there was anything to suggest fraud in her earlier communication.

He is so fixated in defending her that he can't see anything. She is being told to go private for her situations and but it is a problem to folks in public still.

Hi guys as we are prepping for Canada it will be nice to have some tips for job search and all, especially for some of us looking at a career change it will be nice to start learning from here.
I am switching from payment systems to database development/machine learning(long term) so I have been studying a lot , it is also a good thing to look through the Canadian job boards so we have an idea about the kind of skill in demand so we can channel our efforts in the right direction.

Anybody with any kind of helpful info should post here, its a weekend and it is a good time to learn something new. cool cool To my arguementators one love kiss kiss kiss

Try simulating your score using the CRS tool for both scenarios. That is with a PGD or and an MBA with 2/3years experience and see if you fall within the 440 threshold.

adesbaba:
@ans123....thanks a lot for ur swift reply but my fear is that how easy will the EE Process still be by then .....

What if I apply with 2 yrs experience,it won't count much ryt? .... Or what if run a year PGD n then add it to the 2 yrs experience..... Am sorry for my questions pls,...I don't just want to travel tru the Student visa platform

. This thread was created to help people who obviously dont know it all, I asked my question because I need clarification, so if dont have any contributions to make in that light, I suggest u keep ur opinion to your self, whether I make a post about nigerians suffering in canada or not, it doesn't mean there arent any who have it tough over there like wise here in nigeria.
So no point stating the obvious. If you read and understood my questions ur comment would be unnecessary.

The truth is bitter. I understand.

The truth is many people here borrowed funds they will return. To me, a simple explanation that the money will be needed in canada would have been sufficient. There is no element of fraud in her questions.

If we take statistics, i wonder how many people are 100% the owner of their POF up until landing.

Some posts here need to be deleted...for posterity sake. Even if we escape this time, these sensitive posts in form of harmless questions and truthful answers may bring future applications under avoidable scrutiny.
I'd suggest some questions be asked in Private Messages, other than here. Thanks to all who are ever ready to help, someone even posted their email address underneath their posts.
Let peace reign, please.

You need to follow up with your institution. Some institutions require a fee for verification. So, go to your institution ASAP.

anitank:
Good day people

Please I have a question. My transcript was sent to WES which they acknowledged receipt. However they sent an email saying they sent photocopies of my credentials back to my school in Nigeria for verification and my status will be on hold till they get a response. This was since May. It’s been two months since then and my status is still on hold as I haven’t heard anything and my status is still “on hold”

Did anyone experience this and how did you tackle it? Please urgent response

Guys pls is it appropriate to get my reference letter for my current place of employment now even though I won't be entering the pool until sometimes in February 2019.

Does date on the reference letter matter? Anyone here with out date on their reference letter

- For past employment, I think you can. Since you have concluded that experience and clocked the duration of employment. Mine was almost 6months old

- For current, I dont believe it may be appropriate. I think u should try and make it close enough to your submission time to avoid ADR and delays in your application. Some VOs may accept it, but I believe its left to the discretion of who ever is evaluation your application, you may get ADR for a more current letter.

Cheers

My opinion is that whenever someone asks a question that bring our legs outside, we should report the post.

This will protect both the poster, the future Canny bound people and ourselves.

If you love sharp corner, please send a PM to someone you relate well with on the thread. If the person helps, good luck. If not, maybe you can look for another person.

I attended the Preparing for Canada program this Tuesday, and the truth is that you are going to need every dime of your POF.

Even if you have gotten PPR with other people's funds, ensure you have something reasonable when you are going there. This will assist you in keeping calm and studying the environment. We were told about one General Manager from Airtel, who couldn't get a job immediately despite the vast array of certifications he had. He had to engage in volunteering and other activities that were in line with his profession until he was able to get a better job. What if his POF was borrowed?
He would have been left with no choice than to do menial jobs which will even divert him further from his career path to survive. The POF bought him enough time to obtain the Canadian experience required for his job.
Let us not start the journey on a wrong foot. Please the POF issue is not a joke. Especially if you have a family. No one is trying to discourage anyone from going to Canada but go about it in a legal, well thought-out, considerate, reasonable manner.

I pray it ends in praise for all of us.
Shalom.

Yeah, all fingers are not equal and all that, but this is a public forum and there is the option of PM for a reason.
Whenever we are in doubt if a question is ok or not, let's err on the side of caution.

The sister thread linked below is very valuable for all things Canada including the landing experience, which city or province to live, customs, jobs etc.
It is very useful for all of us still waiting for something,
reading the thread might help with the frustration of waiting.
Start with page 114 113 or use this link: https://www.nairaland.com/3617393/living-canada-life-canadian-immigrant/113#61210244

It is the equivalent of our page zero one where our own @Glitteringstar (Sis I hail you) has summarized pages 1-100.

The forum is not as fast moving as this thread as the seniors are busy people already hustling the Canadian dream in different timezones from here. Let's read through the thread and ask relevant questions that will prepare us.
It will end in praise!
