There are more than one way to achieve a dream. What's the use of getting something done and others regret your methodology.

Critical thinking is looking beyond the first solution to a problem. Mostly we don't have POF. We hustle it. Some save and request family and friends to save on their behalf. In the end they get gift deed. If the advocate read the thread appropriately, there won't be mention of the word BORROW.

If I were in the shoes, I'd just PM the responser and ask for help. You can imagine what happens behind the scene on this platform. I give an instance. In my uni, transcript when speedy takes 3weeks to process after all things had gotten to records department. By a PM on this platform, I did not need to go to school, transcripts got processed in less thank 2 weeks and I made a great contact.

Like we say, if you know, you know... buth wetin I know. I be learner...

Guitarlife:

Hi , you have made some valid points.
However, its important that we understand where to draw the line in our interaction with people. The world is already a terrible place and living in Nigeria is already enough punishment for any sane human so lately am learning to be quiet if I cant be helpful.

It is possible to admonish people without venting our pent up frustration and anger on them. I have seen enough to learn never to judge people and also to master the art of correcting without offending. You do not know where the poster is coming from so if you must provide some guidance lets try do that without necessarily seating ourselves up there and threatening them with fire and brimstone.

The way you have written and advised the poster is matured enough, it gets to me when people try to bully others on the net.
Lets learn the culture of empathy, we cant ask someone to abort their dreams because of lack of funds.
Some have so much while others dont have at all, its good to always remember that and be grateful instead of degrading.

Where is your proof? Let's not undermine ourselves in justification of a wrong twist. It's good to make mistakes, it's better to take to corrections on the mistake and move on.

The truth is many people here borrowed funds they will return. To me, a simple explanation that the money will be needed in canada would have been sufficient. There is no element of fraud in her questions.

If we take statistics, i wonder how many people are 100% the owner of their POF up until landing.

Thank you sir. Can I PM you?

ottawasenators:
I also had same issue, school claiming not to have received any mail from WES.

I called WES and was reliably informed that mail was sent via post only. Na so i told them not to worry, as i have the email that was included in the transcript cover letter. They collected what i gave them via phone and verified it was as same in the transcript cover letter.

Next day, E-mail was sent and school confirmed they have received it. What i found out was that, sending via E-mail may be at their discretion, especially if they do not have a good experience on email correspondence with certain schools.

So just give WES a call to verify.

I couldn't get a reference letter on one of my employers letterhead. I got it from my Senior Manager on a plain sheet, notarized it and included a bank statement showing all salary payment from my employer.

I specially thank all those that have been resourceful here especially GlitteringStar, veleta, mcstan18, Newmum0615 and a host of others. May God bless you all.

May it end in praise for us all.

My opinion is that whenever someone asks a question that bring our legs outside, we should report the post.

This will protect both the poster, the future Canny bound people and ourselves.

If you love sharp corner, please send a PM to someone you relate well with on the thread. If the person helps, good luck. If not, maybe you can look for another person.

I attended the Preparing for Canada program this Tuesday, and the truth is that you are going to need every dime of your POF.

Even if you have gotten PPR with other people's funds, ensure you have something reasonable when you are going there. This will assist you in keeping calm and studying the environment. We were told about one General Manager from Airtel, who couldn't get a job immediately despite the vast array of certifications he had. He had to engage in volunteering and other activities that were in line with his profession until he was able to get a better job. What if his POF was borrowed?
He would have been left with no choice than to do menial jobs which will even divert him further from his career path to survive. The POF bought him enough time to obtain the Canadian experience required for his job.
Let us not start the journey on a wrong foot. Please the POF issue is not a joke. Especially if you have a family. No one is trying to discourage anyone from going to Canada but go about it in a legal, well thought-out, considerate, reasonable manner.

I pray it ends in praise for all of us.
Shalom.

Great angle. In all honesty a lot of people at first borrow the pof they show because people want their COPR on their hand before they start selling personal items.
Even if people borrow to show I can assure you at the end of the day they will go with something close to their POF after they sell all their properties. Rarely will you see someone entering canny without at least half of required POF in real money not borrowed one cool
So when is the next preparing for Canada session. Please help a sister

Issue: getting married and adding spouse.

I received my PPR as a single applicant today. I did my introduction in April and I am planning to do my court wedding next week. I intend to inform and update CIC about the change in marital status before the 15days response time for PPR mail so as to add my spouse and eventually migrate together as I later learnt that sponsorship may take a very long time to complete which may be detrimental to our relationship. I wish to know if this would not jeopardize my chances considering my particular case and also will POF be requested again even though I had provided enough proof of funds for 2 applicants from onset. Kindly assist with your knowledge and experience.

Hello All,

I am quite worried about my IELTS exam (second attempt) taken today.

My headphone developed issues halfway through my section 1 and 2 in Listening and i subsequently missed out on some questions. I have filled a complaint form but i want to know if anyone has similar experience and how it was resolved.

Thank you.

Dont worry you are covered.

What will happen is they wont release ur result cos you filled a complaint form. When u go to their office they will show u the result for the listening and if you are not ok with it they will reschedule you for another exam for free. They might not let you know the result of the other ones. If however you are ok with the listening they will release it to you.

Happened to my friend.
