Jimmychuks2018: There might be an error somewhere which made it to come up this way. I'll advise you get the passport after visa stamping and thereafter, take your kids for the medical test as requested by CIC. A medical request last for 30 days, I believe the time for visa stamping and courier delivery won't take up to 7 working days. My advice! 1 Like |

Can anyone please confirm the extension of the validity of Nigeria passport for 10years now? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jnyuwa02: 8:49pm On Jul 30, 2018 |
abdullahi45: Indeed, our country’s president, Mohammed Buhari three days ago signed into law that Nigeria’s passport validity be increased from 5 to 10 years. |

Hello all Im a total newbie here and i would like to ask some questions. please bear with me what are my chances of getting a student visa if i apply for a 1 year pgd course? I plan on going for masters after the program. Is it still possible to resume in January 2019 if i start my admission process now either pgd or masters? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jnyuwa02: 4:27am On Jul 31, 2018 |
mcobex: Bury the hatchet! What makes us intelligent beings is that we are not a monolithic entity, but hold varying convictions and can agree to disagree. It is okay to hold to the opinions he is espousing because it not an idea out of the blues and unsubstantiated, but one that has actually worked for others. Please let us try and be respectful of each other’s opinions, responses like yours can start a quarrel. 1 Like |

matty1234: Your chances of getting a visa with a PGD are as good as you make it. Try and put up a strong and convincing application. The higher the degree you are going for, the more convincing to a visa officer would be your purpose of visit to Canada. Masters degree students on the average have a higher chance of visa success than PGD, while PHD students have a higher chance than masters degree students. In that regard, I will highly advise you concentrate your effort in looking for a masters program to get into and apply for a visa with a PGd only if you cannot get into a masters program. Yes, it is possible to get admission for January 2019, infact it is the application now open for submission all accross the board in Canada. Best wishes!! 2 Likes |

jnyuwa02:Response like mine? I want to believe you didn't read how he responded to my post. Just like I always say, all we can do here is make suggestions and it's left for the person in question to take it or leave it. I made mine with proof, you made yours with proof, Frank made his with proof, Austeenpee made his but the moniker in question tried coming for me. Well, just like I said earlier I won't give him the attention he is seeking. I rest my case. Have no beef with him or anyone, no time for that bro 4 Likes |

Biakwa: This is serious, not even review of eligibility started at this point? If it is past the processing time at the time you applied, you might want to send a gentle email reminder. Explain what you explained, that your school resumption date draweth nigh. Thank them for taking the time to read your application. 3 Likes |

@frankrobbin1, @austinpee4, McObex @jnyuwa02 and other gurus pls help me . Guys , pls , is it possible to send CIC a copy of my minimal scholarship/bursary received from my intended school which was received only after my student permit has been submitted. I submitted in June. And, I already stated in my IMM form that i do not have any scholarship.(I think there was a section like that , I can’t really remember) If it’s possible , pls what impact (negative and positive ) will it have on my application |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jnyuwa02: 7:43am On Jul 31, 2018 |
phemmisky: By all means send it now!! This would count as a change of circumstance which CIC always encourages applicants to send supplementary documents during the pendency of an application if their circumstances changes. In fact this is not a question, you would perpetrate a great injustice on yourself by not sending such a document. There are no negative impact, only positive. Just explain as you did, that the award came after you submitted. They would make it part of your file as they do of most submissions to an application after filing. Good luck! 1 Like |

@Mcobex @jnyuwa02 @austinpee4 and the other house mate pls I need your response on this can I use only company acct statement with balance of 20m as proof of fund for my studies with the CAC certificate to back it up |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Frankrobbn1: 8:30am On Jul 31, 2018 |
phemmisky:phemmisky, You're very free to send additional documents which you feel are relavant to you and will be a + to your visa application. It doesn't matter if you stated the scholarship on your IMM1294E form, the most important thing is that you have it right now. From my perspective, I see no negative effect of you sending this scholarship offer to IRCC. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mcobex: 8:30am On Jul 31, 2018 |
