komekn: What does it take to be truly ready? I don't think Nigeria was as developed as this when we hosted 2000 Afcon and FIFA underaged world cup twice which was just in the last 19 years. Take note that the infrastructures inplace now is far far better than when we hosted those competitions. |

goldfish80: Let's face the reality we have destroyed vthe hope and expectation of the youth. That they believe they have nothing to look forward for. That's why we have people willingly selling themselves into slavery to Libyan warlords for the hope of going to Europe. Then after spending thier time in slavery they then play lottery with thier lives to cross the Mediterranean Sea. So when our footballers sign slave contracts and are prepared to do anything to escape the tragedy of a nation. Can I blame them ❓ ❓ I empathise with them, what would I do given the same set of circumstances. |

Triniti: Actually I've driven across Europe and discovered that none of our guys were willing. Them too fear. And shelved the idea. However, this time I'll be prepared to go it alone. I will just make sure I don't go in an expensive vehicle and or ostentatious. So yes 4x4 but an old uncommon one, but reliable, which means no Toyota vehicles. But that's almost a year away AFCON is no longer in January. |

forgiveness: One of things about development its often measured in comparison. We are Nigeria not Togo we should make comparison with south Africa and North Africa. That will tell us our level of infrastructural development. |

Infrastructure, good organization culture. What are the chances that there is going to be power outages if we host? How about organization lapses? Oga we know our way. How do you compare our airports to those of the lesser countries you have been to? I don’t know about you but when I go to other countries I take special note of their airport facilities and personnel. That’s the first limpression, that’s what greets you about the people. I’m surprised you are quite confident about Nigeria presenting the best AFCON EXPERIENCE, even if we removed South Africa. Nigeria as a country is not serious about anything except owambe. forgiveness: 2 Likes |

Joebie: I have said this before Rohr has been in Africa for a decade, he has survived because he has taken on board our ways bad and good. That's why he is not shocked with indignation at the Salisu corruption and bribe scandal. In these matters I always say worry not about what you know, what about what you do not know. |

French Ligue 1 side Bordeaux have splashed eight million Euros on Nigerian winger Samuel Kalu from Belgian club KAA Gent. Kalu has signed a contract for five seasons and Gent could earn more in add-ons. “The transfer of Kalu has been completed,” Bordeaux chairman Stephane Martin told the French media. “We’re now only waiting for his work permit.” His paper work may however not be ready in time for him to feature in the UEFA Europa League against Mariupol. Kalu has scored 10 goals and provided 16 assists in 55 appearances for Gent. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

why so much fuss just because moses didn't start against man city? the is just 1 out of so many matches chelsea will play this season so dude will definitely see enough playing in subsequent matches. he is vital to the chelsea team because of his versatility so i don't see the team selling him. 1 Like |

komekn: People that come abroad to hussle spend a lot of money. I read a story about a person who spent over 1.5 Million to go abroad to hussle. With that money, the person could have set up a small business in 9ja and live with some dignity. I know a man who went to Italy via boat. He was not in a terrible state in 9ja. It is just a pursuit of an illusion. By the time, this guy got there, he was sending messages to everyone to send him money. He did not tell anyone when he climbed boat. Worst thing is that, he has a wife and kid. No be suffer dey cause travel for most people. See Nigerians seeking asylum in Canada with ridiculous excuses. 1 Like |

you are right in the aspect having good plans before leaving but so many also left without having any good contact or plan as you said but they are success stories today. the main thing to me is leaving the shores of this country and also the country in which the person intend travelling to. if an average Nigerian street boy can dedicate 80% of his hustle here in 9ja in the streets of europe, australia or the america why will that person not have a decent and better life? you get rich or you die trying tbaba1234: |

charlesemeka85: This is not true. It depends on the person. I know someone who started a business with #25,000 now running a multi million Naira business. Even in the difficulty of 9ja, there are success stories. 2 million is more than enough to start a business and succeed. 1 Like |

tbaba1234:As much as I share Komekn views that there isn't much of hope for youth I still boldly say greed & "measuring-up" Is what drives Nigerians to do these things. More so we even glory in it when by chance things go well, its just shameless See some guys here claiming that the Libyan noise is just a ruse to stop them from "making it", that day in day out " boys de enter". Who do us this thing abeg |

Odunayaw: Exactly, greed and 'feeling among' not neccessarily suffering. There are people who have spent borrowed millions seeking visa from one embassy to the other and they will say no job. |
