jnyuwa02: I add like to ask a dumb question please. Forgive me but aren't you legally allowed to work for a certain period of time in Canada after your studies? Why then would a VO be concerned about one not returning back to his home country after studies? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by harde116: 11:13pm On Aug 06, 2018 |
Apply for yourself first, get yours and then you can apply for your family. They can even serve as ties for you. Applying with them feels like indirect express entry.LOL It only reduces your chances. Cheers sirgigs: 1 Like |

Banks039: Send them a mail and indicate it has passed the normal processing time, be polite though. Also, make sure you title as URGENT and you will get a response within 48hrs. |

mybusinesss: Not a dumb question at all. Lots of people express this sentiment. The reason is because you will need a work permit in order to work after studies. Since there is no guarantee that your work permit application will be approved, the VO cannot make the assumption that you would be able to legally stay after studies. So worse case scenario, if your work permit application is rejected, would you return home after studies or continue to stay back illegally? The VO's want the answer to be the former. So they ask you to prove this to them in the first place before you enter Canada. 3 Likes |

I hope this also helps.. Dear visa representative, Thank you for taking time to process my visa application. I am a study permit applicant from Nigeria with application number '....' and UCI number '...'. I will like to enquire the progress of my application as the processing time is beyond 10 weeks which is stated on the cic website as the average processing time for applicants from Nigeria. This is so that I can conclude with my travel plans accordingly. I will be looking forward to hearing from you soon so as to make further preparations. I am indeed grateful for your time and consideration. Kind regards, Biakwa: 4 Likes |

Like someone has always said, I dont think these VO are some kind of god. They are simple professionals like police officers, Bankers, you and myself. I see no reason for saying things the way it is. Maxihyfr: 1 Like |

The canadian embassy is aware that school resumes in September, just pray you get a favorable decision on your application. Monday was good, Tuesday will be better. Most June online applicants have gotten final decision but they are silent. Why? 2 Likes |

jnyuwa02: I want to believe you misinterpreted this. Those some said sending an email to CIC when an applicant application is within the processing times is not advisable. If an application has exceeded the normal processing times, an applicant is certainly free to send countless mails to CIC. 1 Like |
